Slowly she came to a halt in front of the room that was occupied by the mistress of the house. They had been staying in different rooms before and it was difficult to plant The evidence, but now that they were together, it became easier for the evidence to the caught.

It was 5:30 in the morning, the exact time the master would leave for his training session in the gym with his men.

Hardly anyone ever attacked in the morning, attacks were meant to be behind the back. Yet, she opened the door and preened inside.

There she was, the donor, entangled in the streets and probably naked under them. She was sleeping without any idea what was going on in her life, in the very room that she was sleeping in.

Slowly, trying not to make a sound, she entered the room and moved inside the closet.

The difference between the belongings of the inhabitants in the room was clear. Left side belonged to the man and the right belonged to the woman.

Taking out the device that had been given to her, she placed it in between the racks of shoes on the second lowest shelf but on the inside, where it would be easily hidden yet could be seen just as easily as well.

There, she grinned.

Evelyn woke up to the sound of shuffling. Opening her eyes just a crack, she sounds Salvatore on the end of the bed, leaning forward probably wearing his shoes.

"Am I late?" She grumbled hoarsely before getting to sit up.

"No," he answered, "taking the weekend off means making up for the work in the rest of the week. Go back to sleep till seven in the morning."

Evelyn placed her head back on the pillow but did not close her eyes. She heard him come closer and felt a soft kiss on her cheeks and then on her forehead before she finally closed her eyes and sleep came to her willingly.

It was amazing how much love could do.

"Hi!" Evelyn snuggled into her baby and gave her an eskimo kiss by rubbing their noses together. "How has my baby been this morning?"

"Hmmm, Hi mommy," Arabella kissed her on the lips before copying the smile, "big shmiles."

"Big smiles," Evel nodded, "cutie pie. Come now, let’s get you fed."

Picking my daughter Avenue settling her on her hip, Evelyn walked out of the nursery and towards the kitchen.

Today she was thinking of giving some semi-mashed fruits to her daughter. Arabella loved eating them, especially the mangoes that were in season currently.

Placing the plate of food in front of a child, Evelyn took the seat next to her. She tried to not intervene in between as much as she could but at times, she would end up with trying to fix the spoon so that it went into her mouth first instead of going into the cheek. Other than that, she would keep on wiping her mouth clean.

Motherly instincts often won the battle when it came to her patience.

Was it the same with her mother, with every other mother?

"Ma’am?" Leonard, One of the guards that stayed at home stepped into the kitchen, " A moment, please?"

Scowling likely, knowing that he never approached her unless it was on Salvatore’s orders, she got up and nodded to the babysitter; Iona.

"What is it?" She asked as soon as they were outside the kitchen and out of the hearing range.

"Mrs Alessandro’s security guard called, she’s wanting to arrange a meeting with you. Would you be willing to meet her today?"

She thought of an answer, whether to say yes or no when she found another thought that was surprisingly unnoticed before.

"Leonardo, why is she asking you that? Alexis usually asks me directly."

"security threat, Madam."

An answer that had been thought out before. The delivery was too quick, to sleep and made her question whether they had researched this or not. Was he going to monitor all her calls and meetings? even with his mother?

"Did she specifically mention something?"

Leonardo answered with the shake of his head.

Evelyn thought about it, as much as she wanted to stay with Arabella, she needed to know what Alexis was calling her for too.

A little time away from everything would not hurt.

"Alright," she nodded, "plan a meeting then."

She had been brought to the same restaurant that she had once come with Salvatore to.

To put it lightly, Alexis had achieved more than any woman had, and as a civilian? She had challenged the norms.

The best phone was surprisingly empty, but given that it was a mid afternoon and a working day, not many were going to be here.

"Hi!" Alexis leaned in for a hug and kissed her cheeks. She pulled back with a smile. "I Picked up time when we were always the least crowded. One could always use some privacy."

"Thank you for that," Evelyn smiled. " I really appreciate your offer for getting me out of the house."

"Ah, you got that." Alexis laughed and led Evelyn to a room in the corner yet enough to see the whole restaurant in. "I know how it feels like to stay inside the house all day. One can go crazy and I don’t want that to happen to you." She winked.

The waitress came by and handed them the drinks menu, which was ordered effortlessly by Evelyn and Alexis. Both of them, even though Alexis was not Italian, knew their wine well and ordered without a glance at the menu.

It was blatantly obvious that Alexis was making small chat, but the moment the waitress left after serving their drinks and taking their orders for food, The eyes of the former Donna Sharp.

"Alright," Alexis clapped her hands and rubbed them together. "I guess it’s time for business."
