Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 248: The daunting lunch - I

She might have to take back the word may. The moment Evelyn woke up, Salvatore was already up and about for the day but that was not the point.

She had been woken up by him, by a kiss on her forehead as he whispered her goodbye until his parent’s arrival. When he noticed that she was awake, he said that he would be there an hour before their arrival.

After that, he left and she went back to sleep only to be woken up by the nanny when her child had woken up.

"There you go," She placed a plate with some fruit in front of her child. The branch was going to be in the next few hours but it was still a long time for her daughter to not eat.

"Thank you, Mumma." with that said, The content of the fork before shoving the food in her mouth.

Evelyn kept a watchful eye on her. Should she prepare her daughter for the incoming guests? She liked Alexis in fact that woman was going to be no problem when it came to warning Arabella about her. But it was her father-in-law that she was specifically concerned about.

How was she supposed to say this? Should she tell her that he was her grandfather, but what if Angelo refused?

But she still had to tell her daughter at least. If Angelo was not warm and inviting than Alexis would be and it would be better if Arabella leaned towards her from the beginning.

"Hey, Baby?"

"Yea?"

"Do you remember your grandmother Alexis? The one we went shopping with and she brought her a beautiful blue dress?"

Arabella nodded, her bright blue eyes brightened up immediately.

"Well," Evelyn continued, "she is coming to visit us for an early lunch with her husband. Would you like to meet her?"

"She bring me more gifts?" The whole in her daughter’s eyes was too adorable to squarish but she could not have Arabella be spoiled in such a manner. So she, as gently as possible, let it out.

"No," Evelyn chuckled, "and we don’t expect people to bring gifts every time, okay?"

The hope was dismissed but the nod confirmed that the message was received.

Approximately two hours later, the mother and daughter were dressed for the brunch and Salvatore arrived.

His eyes did not go into her direction rather they stayed on his daughter.

Raising his index finger, he twirled it around and Arabella grinned.. She picked up her dress before travelling like a princess and giggling.

"Ah, you pretty girl!" He waved his hands and within seconds Arabella was in his arms and was being thrown up in the air.

Evelyn greeted her teeth just so she could ignore how unsafe they were being. When he tossed her again in the air higher than before, Evelyn immediately charged towards them and the moment he caught the baby, she raised her away from his hands and hugged Arabella close to her chest. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"That’s dangerous, Salvatore!" Even though Evelyn had an angry face, it was the giggles of the little child that brought a smile on their faces.

Evelyn placed her gently on the ground before tapping her bum, "go to iona. Go."

The little girl ran out of the room and Evelyn turned to Salvatore. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes," he nodded before coming close to her, "stop being nervous, Evelyn. If he does not accept the child then he does not accept it. His choice is not going to affect what we think. Alright?"

It was easy for him to say that. He was the one who had all the power in his hands but she had nothing. So, it was a given for her to worry.

She nodded nonetheless. There was no need to fight or argue upon this so she wordlessly agreed upon it and Was about to go outside when she was stopped by him.

"You look beautiful," he commented and she shyly nodded.

"Thank you."

He did not reply but his hands wandered on her waist. From her side before leaning into her neck and taking a long inhale.

"you should rest like this every single fucking day." He commented, making her gulp. " Why don’t you dress up for me, Evelyn?"

"I..uh.." she gulped. Why didn’t she? " if that is what you want.."

"I do." He confirmed. " I want you to wear pretty dresses so that I can take them off at night." His finger latched onto one of the strips and he let it off her shoulder. "How long do you think until my parents arrive?"

"Uh.." her mind went blank immediately. No processing or what so ever went on to win it and Evelyn had completely given up before giving into him. "Yeah.." she uttered without thinking.

His lips landed on her shoulders and she went before pressing herself further into the wall that she was held against.

Salvatore did not stop there.

His nose lightly traced on to her collar bone before moving up as his lips continued kissing every inch of risk until they landed on her job.

There, he bit into her skin lightly, making her flinch before he left the sting off.

"S-Salvatore," she gulped again before making up her mind, "we have to leave... soon."

"Iona is there." He continued.

She tsked. Of course, the Nanny was there but no nanny in the world could take care of his father except for his mother.

They had to go out soon otherwise God forbid, if his father came up or anyone else percent up for them. Slowly she lowered her hands from his shoulders to his chest and pushed him away at least until he moved away from her neck and stared down at Her.

Both of them were breathing harshly at this point but it did not matter. This has to be continued later anyway.

"Come on," she patted his chest, "it’s going to start soon."

He huffed before taking her hand and pulling her out of the room.
