The atmosphere at the wellsite became tense among the five gentlemen due to Henry’s sour mood after a heated argument over the phone. Amy hung up on him and stopped taking his calls, which made him grumpy throughout the site tour. While he maintained professional behavior with Ash, his irritation and inability to control his emotions were evident in front of Rei, Anton, and Theo, with whom he had a longer working relationship.

Ash was unaware of the phone argument as he was with the head engineer when Amy called Henry. However, he could still sense that something was wrong, even though Henry was not openly displaying his bad mood.

As they continued their tour in the wellsite, Ash leaned over to Rei and asked in a hushed tone, "Rei, do you know what’s going on with Henry? Could he be having second thoughts about funding my project?" He couldn’t shake off the worry that he might be the cause of Henry’s strange behavior.

Rei smirked as he reveals the reason behind their boss’ cranky demeanor. "He had a big fight with Amy. They’re not on speaking terms right now, and it’s tough for him since it’s their first day apart in three weeks."

"Oh, I see. Amy must be really upset if she’s not talking to him. Knowing her, it must be something important to get her that angry," Ash replied.

"You’re right; it’s a significant matter. Her romance book became a bestseller in several countries, and her publisher wants her to go on a book signing tour. The tour could last for weeks or maybe even months, and Henry is against the idea because they’ve been trying to have a baby," Rei explained.

"Wow, congratulations to her. I’ll make sure to let Ava know to send a congratulatory gift to Brookegrove," Ash replied.

"No need for that," Rei said, "Amy will be here tomorrow, and it’s supposed to be a surprise, so we’re figuring out how to get Henry out of the house tonight until tomorrow. Mary and the girls are setting up the party and her surprise for him."

"Hmm, how about we go to my place tonight? I have a reason to celebrate too—I just finalized my partnership with Welsh Holdings. It can also serve as my advanced bachelor party, especially since it’s the last party I’ll have before I sell the penthouse. Think that’ll be enough of a distraction for Henry?" Ash suggested.

Ash could only hope that both Rei and Henry would agree to his idea, as he genuinely desired to build a strong friendship with these men. After experiencing numerous betrayals over the years, he could see that these individuals were different from those he had once considered friends and allies. He has so many regrets in his life that he wants to start fresh and make it right this time.

"You know what? I think that’s a good idea. Let’s discuss it later, and I’ll give you the go signal when the time is right," Rei said with a smile, showing his approval of Ash’s suggestion.

As they continued their tour in the wellsite, Ash felt a sense of happiness and pride seeing the progress made. Even though he knows that Anton and Henry are the ones leading the project, they can’t make a move unless Amy approves of it.

When they arrived at a vacant and undeveloped area, Henry walked beside Ash and pointed out, "This is where I’m planning to put your refinery. It’s conveniently located near the main road, with minimal vegetation and rocks to clear, making it easier and faster for Theo and his team to construct the buildings. Additionally, it’ll be more convenient for your customers to transport the products. What do you think?"

"Henry, I must say you’ve thought and planned this perfectly. This location is great; I couldn’t ask for more," Ash replied with appreciation. Then, he turned to Henry and Theo, asking, "You guys work so efficiently. I assume Theo already has a proposed design for it?"

"You’ve guessed it right, Ash. My team has come up with three designs. They’re at the office; let’s go have a look," Theo responded.

Rei gave Ash a meaningful look, which he quickly understood. Ash pretended to be a little shy as he scratched the back of his neck, saying, "By the way, are you all free tonight? "Let’s all go and raise a glass to Ash’s last few days of being single. What do you say, Henry? Since Amy isn’t at home, it’s better if you spend the evening with us instead of being alone in your room," Rei proposed.

Mary decided to hold the party outdoors, inviting numerous people, including the employees of the publishing company. As she, Sandra, and Maya gathered the decorations from the basement, Mary found herself reminiscing about their younger years when she and Amy used to discuss their dreams.
