CEO loves me with all his soul.-Chapter 94. The formula
Chapter 94: 94. The formula
Lucas, sitting by Adrian’s bedside with a thoughtful frown, turned his attention to the desk littered with papers. The strange formulas Adrian had written during his trance were still an enigma. He picked up the sheets and left the room, encountering Isaac in the hallway.
Isaac raised an eyebrow, noting the intensity in Lucas’s expression. "What’s wrong now?"
Lucas handed him the papers. "Adrian wrote these during his... abnormal state. Do you recognize any of this? It seems mathematical or technical, but it’s way beyond my understanding."
Isaac glanced through the sheets, squinting at the intricate symbols and equations. His brow furrowed. "I’m not a mathematical genius or a cyber expert," he admitted. "This looks like gibberish to me." He handed the papers back to Lucas with a shrug.
Frustrated, Lucas pressed. "There has to be someone who can decipher this. Adrian’s condition might depend on it."
Isaac rubbed his chin thoughtfully before snapping his fingers. "I’ll ask Luri. She’s brilliant with things like this—codes, numbers, you name it."
Lucas immediately shook his head. "Isaac, we can’t involve more people in this. Adrian’s safety—"
Isaac cut him off with a gentle smile, placing a hand on Lucas’s shoulder. "Lucas, Luri is already involved. She’s been helping me in secret ever since Adrian returned to our family. Trust me, I’ll make sure this doesn’t spiral out of control. And I’ll keep everyone safe. Including you."
Lucas’s cheeks flushed slightly at the affectionate tone. "Fine," he mumbled, looking away to hide his embarrassment. "But focus on solving this mystery, not... flirting."
Isaac chuckled and leaned in closer. "I’m quite capable of doing both."
Lucas waved him off with a huff, muttering under his breath as Isaac walked away, still grinning.

Meanwhile, back in Adrian’s room, the first rays of morning sunlight filtered through the curtains. Augustin sat nearby, cradling Aurelius in his arms. The child, with his soft golden hair and curious silver eyes, was a picture of innocence, his tiny hands reaching out to grab at Augustin’s scarf. freeweɓnøvel~com
Adrian stirred, his eyelids fluttering open. His vision was blurry, and his head felt heavy, as though weighed down by a fog he couldn’t shake. He blinked a few times, the familiar warmth of the room bringing him some comfort. His gaze landed on Augustin, and his lips moved weakly. "Augustin...?"
Augustin immediately turned his attention to Adrian, relief washing over his face. "Adrian, you’re awake!" He carefully adjusted Aurelius in his arms and leaned closer to the bed. "How are you feeling?"
Adrian tried to sit up, but the pounding in his head made him wince. "My head feels heavy," he murmured. He pressed a hand to his temple, as if trying to steady himself. "What... happened?"
Augustin hesitated, glancing toward Aurelius, who was babbling softly and tugging at his sleeve. "You had some kind of episode last night. You collapsed after... writing something. It was like you were in a trance."
Adrian frowned, struggling to recall the events. Fragments of his dream with Ethan flashed in his mind—the kisses, the warmth, the strange sensation of being together yet separated. His heart ached at the memory.
Seeing Adrian’s troubled expression, Augustin spoke gently. "Don’t push yourself to remember. Lucas is looking into it, and Isaac is helping too. We’ll figure this out together."
Adrian nodded slowly, his eyes falling on Aurelius. A small smile tugged at his lips as he reached out to touch the baby’s chubby hand. "At least Aurelius is happy," he said softly.
Augustin chuckled, the tension in the room easing slightly. "He always is when he’s causing trouble. Just like his father."
Adrian managed a weak laugh, though his mind remained clouded with questions. Something was wrong—he could feel it deep within himself.

Isaac climbed in through the window with the agility of someone who’d done this a thousand times. He landed lightly on the wooden floor, the faint sound of typing filling the room. Luri, her back turned to him, was furiously working on her laptop, her fingers flying over the keys as if the world depended on it. She didn’t even glance back.
"Isaac Sebanil," she said in a singsong voice, her bubbly tone dripping with mockery, "if you have the guts to come in through my window again, you better hope I don’t install laser traps next time."
Isaac smirked, leaning against the windowsill. "Laser traps? What are you, a Bond villain?"
Luri spun around in her chair, her bold gaze locking onto him. Her bright eyes sparkled with mischief as she pointed at the door. "There’s a perfectly good door out there, genius. Try using it once in your life!"
"Doors are overrated," Isaac replied casually, tossing his coat onto her desk, knocking over a cup of pens in the process.
"Overrated?" Luri huffed, glaring at the mess. "If you weren’t my brother, I’d charge you for property damage. And stop throwing your stuff on my workspace! Some of us have real jobs."
Isaac chuckled, enjoying her frustration. "Real jobs, huh? Typing away on your laptop like you’re hacking the Pentagon?"
Luri folded her arms and raised an eyebrow. "As if you’d know the difference. Aren’t you the guy who thought bypassing a firewall meant literally setting it on fire?"
"That was one time," Isaac retorted, grabbing a stack of papers from his pocket. "Anyway, I didn’t come here for your sparkling wit. I need your help."
He threw the papers directly at her face. Luri shrieked, catching them midair before glaring at him. "Excuse you? What is this?" She unfolded the sheets and scanned them. Her expression shifted from annoyance to curiosity as her eyes darted over the strange symbols and equations.
"Where did you get this?" she asked, her voice tinged with intrigue. "Is this some top-secret scientist’s new invention? Are you moonlighting as a spy now?"
Isaac leaned against her desk, crossing his arms. "If I told you, I’d have to kill you."
Luri snorted. "Oh, please. Like you’re capable of something that dramatic."
Isaac smirked. "I climbed through your window, didn’t I?"
"Wow," Luri deadpanned. "What a hero."
The two bickered for a solid minute before Luri turned her attention back to the papers. She tapped her finger against the symbols thoughtfully. "This looks like coding... but it’s nothing I’ve seen before. It’s almost like C++, but there are elements that don’t match any programming language I know. Where did you even get this?"
Isaac shrugged nonchalantly. "Let’s just say it fell into the hands of someone important. And I need to know what it’s for."
Luri tilted her head, narrowing her eyes. "Important, huh? Did you write it?"
Isaac smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Why? Think I can’t?"
Luri laughed, her bold personality shining through. "Isaac, darling brother, hacking and coding are not the same thing. You might know your way around a system breach, but this—" she held up the papers—"this is way above your pay grade."
"Wow," Isaac said, mockingly clutching his chest. "Way to crush a guy’s confidence."
"Someone’s gotta do it," Luri replied with a grin. "But seriously, this is fascinating. It’s almost like... a lost language, but for machines. Where did you say you got this again?"
Isaac leaned in, his expression turning serious. "That’s not for you to know, little sister. Can you figure it out or not?"
Luri rolled her eyes, spinning her chair back toward the laptop. "Of course I can. Who do you think you’re talking to? Give me a day or two, and I’ll have something for you."
"Make it faster," Isaac said, standing up straight. "This is urgent."
"Ugh, you’re so demanding." Luri waved him off as she began typing furiously. "Now get out of my lair before you mess something up."
Isaac smirked, heading for the window again. "Luri, you’re the best."
"Yeah, yeah," she called after him. "Don’t forget it!"
As Isaac climbed out, he couldn’t help but smile at her boldness. Despite their constant teasing, he trusted Luri more than anyone to uncover the secrets of those strange formulas.

In a dimly lit room shrouded in an eerie silence, a lone man sat in a high-backed chair, his features obscured by the interplay of shadows and flickering candlelight. The faint glow illuminated only fragments of his form—a sharp jawline, a glint of something metallic near his wrist, and eyes that seemed to pierce through the darkness like twin daggers.
Before him lay an ancient tome, its yellowed pages inscribed with cryptic symbols and diagrams. A faint hum of power emanated from the book, its aura heavy with foreboding. The man traced his gloved fingers over the delicate parchment, his movements deliberate and reverent, as though he was communing with something far beyond human comprehension.
He sighed deeply, a sound heavy with the weight of knowledge. His voice, low and gravelly, broke the silence like a whisper of doom. "So, it begins," he muttered, his words tinged with a strange mix of resignation and despair. "The balance of this fragile world is tilting... and humanity may soon face its reckoning."
He leaned back into the chair, his eyes narrowing as he stared into the void.
