Celestial Speed: Legacy-Chapter 65: Dash potential

"But i wasn’t expecting it at all," Felicity added with a smile

Henry raised an eyebrow. "Expecting what?" he asked

Felicity tapped the surface of her bracelet and a holographic screen emerged from it, displaying some numbers. Henry read the contents and his eyes widened

"No way," he said in surprise at the numbers he had read, one that was supposed to be his speed rate.

[Distance/time: 1.2km in 0.1sec]

[Approximately: 7.2km/sec]

[Approximately: 26,000km/hr]

"Yes way, this is so exciting. With this kind of speed, getting into the academy would be a piece of cake," Felicity said with excitement

"The system said i was at about 8700km/hr and I didn’t use any other boost except... Dash," Henry pondered before coming to a realization. "That means, dash increases my speed by 200%," he stated with excitement

"Well that concludes this morning training, tomorrow we shall test your speed without any boost," Felicity said, snapping Henry out of his thoughts

"Oh... Um, okay," he said. "But I already know the answer to that," he sighed inwardly

"Come on, I’ll discuss my plan with you over breakfast," Felicity said

"Plans for what?" Henry asked, his interest piqued

Felicity smiled. "Getting into the academy," she said. "They don’t admit people without abilities, never. And I can’t explain to them that you run at super sonic speed without any mana cell in your body, which means we have to find another way," she explained and began walking

Henry nodded in understanding. "Okay but can’t i find a way to not get tested but pass on as a speed ability user?" he asked while walking beside her, going to lord knows where

Felicity sighed. "Unfortunately no, not even my power and status can make you escape the mana cell test. It’s the first and most important of all the assessment,"

"Oh, so how do I get in?"

Felicity smirked. "You take the test," she replied

"Huh?" Henry was confused, if he took the test, won’t they find out that he wasn’t a mana cell human

"Don’t worry about it, just leave it to me. All you have to do is get faster, faster than every other participant during the exams. You must have the highest score in the speed assessment," she declared with a serious expression

Henry was stunned, he knew that his mother was crazy but he didn’t know, she was this crazy. Even if he trained for two months and received the daily speed boost, he might not be able to be on the same level of speed as a mana cell human.

They were ranging from Mach 5 - Mach 15 and those on his age level would be ranging from Mach 2 - Mach 8, and he wasn’t even close to reaching Mach 2 and the best thing was he only had a month before the exams

"I know what you’re thinking, but I believe in you. And don’t forget that they are not speedsters, they can’t run for long but... Alicia tells me your stamina is terrifying," Felicity added with a smile

"Well I guess you’re right, but what else did Alicia tell you?" Henry asked, his eyebrow furrowed

Felicity smiled. "Nothing I don’t already know," she replied

Henry frowned. "Don’t try and cover for her mum, we had a deal, and she broke it," he said

"But she’s the one who saved you," Felicity said with a cheeky smile

"So, she broke our agreement and did some other things as well. Saving me doesn’t atone for it all," Henry stated

"Alright then, you can settle it between yourselves when she arrives in the afternoon," Felicity said and snapped her fingers. And immediately the entire surrounding changed from a magma decimated island to a familiar, luxurious living room. They were back at the mansion

"I can’t get used to that, was the island and volcano even real?" Henry asked with a disturbed look

"Would you like to find out?" Felicity flashed a devilish grin

Henry saw this and immediately backed out, he’d had enough near death experiences for one day. "No thank you, i will be going to shower now, see you in the dining room mother," he said and hurriedly left the sitting room, heading to back his room.

Felicity chuckled and watched him as he left, she also went to her room for a bathe and they both had breakfast together, discussing, teasing and scheming.

Henry was in his room, plotting how he could leave the mansion undetected to go hunting.

"At this rate, i might never be able to level up through killing beasts. She’ll know if i try to even step foot out of the building and i don’t want another... Training session," Henry muttered to himself

"But she should understand, if she knows about the system then she should know that I have to kill beasts to level up and level up to get faster," he said

"Perhaps i should use the portal and go to another planet? No that’s too soon, i don’t know much about other planets but I can guess they’re not the usual 9 planets i know," Henry chuckled. "Alright, this is the perfect time to form a pact with the staff," he muttered and opened his inventory. But before he could take anything out, he heard a knock on the door

"Young Master, someone is here to see you. Shall I have her wait by the living room?" Wallace voiced out from the other side

"Her? Oh... She’s here," Henry sighed

"Yes, please have her wait there. I’ll be there in a minute," he replied to which Wallace acknowledged and left

"I shall check out the staff later, I’ve got to go make a girl cry," Henry said with a diabolical smirk

"Aww, poor girl," a voice suddenly whispered from behind him

Henry on instinct immediately brought out his sword and swiftly turned to face the culprit. It was a cute redhead with a sweet smile and alluring eyes.

"Poor me," Alicia added with sad eyes, while carrying a flirty smile

Henry retracted his sword and sighed. "How and... why the fuck are you here!" he snapped

"My, aren’t you impatient. Hahaha, you even took out your sword for poor little me," she replied, her voice soft and her eyes teared up, she had put on the complete set of expression for sympathy.

But Henry was immune and was probably the only one who could resist her... Appeals. "You haven’t answered me Alicia, why did you enter my room? That’s intrusion of privacy, hell I could have been naked," he scolded

Alicia smiled seductively. "Weren’t you the one who wanted to make me cry," she said with a wink

"Go on daddy, make me cry," she added, her voice filled with lust and her expression like that of a woman in heat

But once again, Henry repelled the effect. "Sigh* You are really shameless, but i don’t have your time right now. You’re just an horny rabbit looking for who to play with, sorry little red, I’m not a carrot," he stated sharply

Alicia chuckled. "Hey! Don’t make me sound like those mistresses who have a bunch of ’toys’. I was only joking but damn, you are one tough cookie, but I’m very sure you felt something. Didn’t you," she said with a smirk

But Henry’s expression didn’t change, he remained unfazed, both then and now. "Nope, didn’t feel a thing," he said. And truly he didn’t, he wasn’t incapable or something, he had just had been in the situation so many times that if he truly didn’t want to do it, nothing would happen.

"Oh," Alicia muttered softly and put her head down. "I’m not... Your type," she said, her voice low and sad

Henry sighed. "I didn’t mean it like that, you’re definitely... My type, i mean, you’re hot and..." he paused

"Hold on a sec, wasn’t i supposed to be scolding and punishing her for snitching and giving me fake goods," Henry thought and shifted his gaze back Alicia who was now smiling widely, she had won and at the same time managed to figure out his weakness.

"Damn, she’s good. In the end, I succumbed," he chuckled. "But it was worth it," he blurted out subconsciously. Seeing her smile made him feel something he had never felt before, he was happy seeing her happy but he didn’t admit it

"Worth what?" she asked and layed on the bed comfortably like it was her own. A normal girl would be afraid to sit or even enter the room of a boy, but Alicia wasn’t normal, and this only showed how much she felt at ease when she’s around Henry 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Henry smiled, he stared at her for a while before speaking. "You know, i must commend you. You made me feel something I’ve never felt in a long time... No, something I’ve never ever felt before," he said softly

Alicia chuckled. "Admit it, you care about me," she said playfully

Henry wanted to smile again but he had to resist. "But that doesn’t change the fact that you broke the agreement, and gave me untested drugs," he said sharply

Alicia sat up and looked at him. "What are you talking about?" she asked

Henry stared at her menacingly and it made her jerk back slightly, she hadn’t expected Henry to suddenly snap at her, he had changed the atmosphere completely.
