CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 285: Bash’s Resurrection
They arrived at the AE Forges.
Rowan the manager spotted Selina.
"Hey, Selina!"
"Hey, Rowan. What’s up?" Selina stopped the motorcycle beside him.
In the grass field, people were busy building some sort of fair or festival. They lifted the scaffolding and built large wooden structures that seemed too traditional for the current Aeliz.
Rowan pointed to the field, "We’re hosting our second Hymn of the Battlefield."
Mater’s ears perked up, ’Hymn? Isn’t that related to the Fae?’
"What is that?" Selina said.
"Oh. It’s just a LARPing event that we do. You want to join?"
"I’ll get you back on that later, okay?"
"Sure, Selina. See you later."
Selina drove to the Forge Studio.
Mater’s black cat head emerged from her shirt and looked back at the grass field.
’I haven’t heard of Hymn of the Battlefield before. But I did hear about a Hymn of War. I wonder if they’re related somehow.’
"Something’s wrong, Mr. Mater?" Selina said.
"No. Nothing’s wrong." The black cat meowed.
They entered the AE Forges. The other servants jumped out of the Dark Grimoires and closed the door behind them.
Crow was already there. He flew over from the Atlas Seven’s HQ.
"We should buy some clothes for Solarix." Selina scanned Sol’s ’hot’ body up and down. Solarix had an athlete type of body. Everything was solid and lean, a contrast to the softness of Aurora and Evelynn.
The orange lines on the body created a dangerous but alluring charm to her. It made the viewer both threatened and curious.
"Why are you always make your female servant naked?" Selina said.
"What? A man has to have his priorities straight." Mater meowed.
"That, I have to agree with you, Master." Sparrow smiled.
The Satyr and the black cat giggled together as they high fived.
"Ugh. Men." Selina rolled her eyes.
The black cat approached the electrical forge. It was the Infernal Shrine that currently held Bash inside.
Mater stretched his fingers, "Help me prepare the ritual."
"What do you need, Master?" Crow said.
"This Chaos Matrix."
The black cat clasped his hands together. He created a projection of the needed ritual and enlarged it to the entire room, showing everyone its internal structure.
"I can do this alone but it would require a few days. With all of you helping me, we can make it in a few hours."
The servants bowed.
"Your wish is our command, Master." They said in unison.
"Can I help?" Selina raised her hand.
"Of course, you can. Come here." Mater waved his hand. He pulled Selina closer with pure Chaos power, "You can help me design his humanoid form."
"Humanoid form?" Selina said.
"Yep. So that he can transform similar to Aurora and Crow. If he is always the brute demon, he won’t be able to go around with us."
"That’s a good idea. What are you planning for him to look like?"
"I don’t know yet. But I know how I am going to do that."
In Mater’s paw, a Mimicry Mask materialized. "This is an empty Mask. It currently has no appearance inside. We can grant its transformative ability to Bash."
Selina touched her lips in deep thoughts, "Mask... I have an appearance that I think would go well with him."
Selina whispered to the black cat’s ear.
"Ooooh! Let’s do that." The black cat’s eyes lit up.
With the help of the servants, Mater quickly constructed a web of complex Chaos Matrices. A sphere of Chaos Ritual with the forge in the middle as the master eye.
The black cat spat out three Chaos Singularities. The orbs engraved themselves into the three major eyes within the ritual.
Then Mater spat out 200 Chaos Spheres. Each engraved themselves to the 200 minor eyes.
"And now... The last ingredient." The black cat spat out a large sphere of pure soul. Screams of pain and anguish roared inside. Almost 200 despicable human souls.
"Your existence is worthless. Consider yourself honored to be the energy for my servant."
The black cat floated to the forge and dropped the soul sphere.
The forge opened up and transformed into a steel flower. It engulfed the soul sphere in its lava.
Aurora pulled Selina backwards. The other servants also made space.
"Is it dangerous?" Selina said.
"Probably. The advancement of rank for any being could be a very destructive event." Aurora said.
"The kid came last but he’s the first one that will reach Rank-2. His demise is a blessing in disguise." Crow said.
"We will be Rank-2 also, Crow. I know Master won’t treat us badly." Aurora smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I know that, sister. All I’m saying is... I’m happy that he is returning."
Selina and the servants looked at the Chaos Ritual.
A wave of Chaos shot out of the black cat, activating the complex Chaos Ritual. The activation caused the entire area around AE Forges to shake a bit.
"Woah!" Rowan almost fell on his butt.
The construction of the event stopped.
"Get down, everyone! There might be an earthquake! Stop everything for now!" Rowan shouted as everyone quickly evacuated from the field.
The cloud above Aeliz City dissipated. The sun became brighter and hotter. It scorched the ground and caused a city-wide overheating.
Erin was sitting in her dorm when everything happened. Between her forehead was a particular symbol. A symbol that Mater would recognize if he saw it.
The girl sensed the energy in the air. The restless power of the Infernal.
Her eyes shot open, "Demons?!"
She rushed to the window and looked to the sky.
Selina wasn’t the only with secrets. She, too, had her own.
In the AE Forges, the Ritual Sphere pulsed harder and harder. It came alive like a heart.
"You’ve been sleeping for too long, Bash. It’s time to return to your Master.
Arise, Demon. And accept your new power."
The black cat clenched its paw. The 200 Chaos Spheres became restless. They exploded and poured all of their power into the steel flower.
The three Chaos Singularities spun quickly, creating a dark vortex around the forge.
Bash jumped out from the steel flower. His large body hovered in the middle of the Ritual Sphere. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Mater let go of the Mimicry Mask. It floated and landed on Bash’s face.
