Suddenly, the door to the dorm opened.

Selina and Mater turned over. At the door was a young girl with extremely bright platinum hair.

The girl looked extremely serious. But then, she showed the brightest smile ever.

"Roomie!"

The girl dropped her suitcases and rushed at Selina. She hugged the goth girl forcefully.

"Uh..." Selina froze

"Um..." The black cat was extremely satisfied.

"Do I know you?" Selina said.

"Of course not, silly! But we will get to know each other soon!" The girl grabbed Selina’s hand and geeked out.

"My name is Erin! Erin Eggington. We’re going to be roommates for years!"

The girl hugged Selina again. Selina was deeply uncomfortable.

The black cat grinned widely. He found the situation very amusing.

Erin pulled her suitcases inside the room.

"My family had some issues so I wasn’t able to attend the opening ceremony. Thankfully, Principal Graves allowed me to skip it.

Ugh! I can’t imagine how boring that would be!" Erin rolled her eyes.

"Right..." Selina sweated.

"Well, roomie! Aren’t you going to tell me your name?"

"I’m Selina Isles. Nice to meet you."

The girl was so positive that it made Selina a bit rigid. She hadn’t used those textbook greetings since kindergarten.

Erin gasped, "Wait! Don’t tell me! You’re that girl that brought the AS Journal to its knees!"

"That’s a little exaggerated. I only made them issue an apology."

"No, silly! AS Journal is fake news. My father always said not to trust them. I’m glad that someone was able to kick them in the face!"

Erin took a punch into the air. A gust of wind expanded.

’Oh? This little girl isn’t weak.’ The black cat meowed.

Erin snapped her head toward Mater. "A kitty!"

The platinum-haired girl snatched Mater.

"Wait! He isn’t friendly!" Selina screamed. She was afraid that Mater would tear Erin’s face off.

But he didn’t. The black cat purred loudly as Erin cradled him like a baby.

’What is this smell? She smells so good!’ There was a certain aroma within Erin. Almost a cat-like smell. It made Mater have an extremely good impression on her.

The black cat pushed his head into Erin’s chest and sniffed loudly.

"Hehe! Your cat is so adorable!"

"He isn’t like that usually..." Selina widened her eyes but then she felt a little jealous.

She whispered under her breath, "You slutty cat..."

Mater turned to her and stuck out his tongue. The black cat blatantly teased her.

"You’re not sleeping with me tonight." Selina said.

The black cat meowed softly. Its wide eyes looked at Erin.

"Aw... How can you be mad at this face? Don’t worry little kitty, you can sleep with me." Erin played with his chin.

"Hehe. I know you will."

The black cat turned to Selina and stuck his tongue out again to annoy her.

"See! A lot of people like me!" The black cat meowed.

That afternoon, Selina and Mater attended their first university course together. It was the Psycho-Cast course.

This course had a huge room and the most amount of students inside the Institute. Almost two third of the freshmen attended this course.

Because of that, this course was separated into three classes depending on their previous Psychic Examination. Cast-A. Cast-B. And Cast-C.

Aurora, Becky, Blanche, Evelynn and Selina were in Cast-A.

Astrid and Jesse were in Cast-B.

Loretta was in Cast-C, she had the lowest results out of all of them.

In Cast-A, Selina noticed a familiar face that she wished weren’t there. Lalo, Crow’s arch nemesis.

When she entered the class, all eyes were on her.

"Is that..."

"Shhh. Don’t talk about her."

Selina ignored the eyes and found an empty seat to sit down. Lalo moved to the seat next to her.

"Hello, beautiful. You have acquired quite a reputation for yourself." Lalo smiled gently.

"Fuck off!" Selina scoffed.

Lalo froze but he quickly regained his smile, "I think you don’t know who I am. I am..."

"Lorenzo Von Schattenberg". I know exactly who you are... Murderer."

Lalo dropped his friendly facade, "Now. The court already ruled that it was an accident. I did not intend to hurt that boy." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"You and I both know that it isn’t the truth." Selina squinted her eyes.

Lalo’s smile deepened. His Psycho Force exploded and pushed the surrounding students away.

Selina answered with her own power. Their power collided.

Lalo’s eyelids fluttered. He didn’t think that Selina was that strong.

"Interesting. You’re quite a thorny rose, eh?"

"I will kill you someday, Lalo. Remember that." Selina said.

"You know Baek-un?"

"You can say so."

Their gazes almost ignited fire to the class. But Lalo knew not to cause trouble. Especially on the first day at school. He backed off and went back to his crew.

"Who’s that, Lalo?"

"That is the Big Sister."

"Big Sister. Pfttt! Just a nobody. She should be glad that our prince likes her."

Another pulled that guy closer and whispered, "Her mother is a Neutralizer. She’s dead now but don’t mess with the Union."

"Why? They can’t do shit to us. We did nothing wrong."

The door to the class opened and a Professor walked in. He looked nothing out of the ordinary with his satchel and a worn-out brown blazer.

The professor had curly brown hair and wore a pair of glasses.

"Hello everyone. My name is Professor Christopher Brown. I will be your main professor for the Cast-A Course."

Prof. Brown wrote his name on the board. "Yes. My name is a color. And no, it’s a very common name. We will get into the lecture immediately. If anyone has a question, they should do it now.

I won’t answer any questions until I finish lecturing."

A student raised his hand, "Are we going to have tests like usual university, professor?"

"Of course," Professor Brown said, "You are here to learn after all."

Another female student raised her hand, "What is the ISP Unit, Professor?"

"ISP Unit is the internal currency inside our school. It cannot be purchased or exchanged. If we find out you do it, it is instant expulsion. You can only earn it by earning high scores in tests or to complete challenges."

"What is a challenge, professor?" Another asked.

"Anyone here that is a Bounty Hunter?" Christopher said.

Almost all the students raised their hands except for Lalo’s group.

"Challenges are bounties. These bounties are exclusively issued by the Institute. Some are in partnership with the DSI. It is a way for us to secure your benefits while hunting NCEs."

The students gossiped.

"Silence! If no one else has any questions, I shall begin."
