CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 156: Wraith Eats Psychic

The group went around the living quarters of the Lambkins. Most of the rooms were empty and no new wraiths were found.

They went inside the last bedroom.

Becky took a look around then turned back. "Nothing to see here."

But Selina didn’t move. Her eyes stared at the place under the bed.

"Very sharp intuition, woman." The black cat meowed.

Its mouth opened and shot a Nether Sphere into the space under the bed. The bed was flipped over as the Nether Sphere dug into the floor.

"What is that skill?!" Loretta widened her eyes.

A wraith was revealed under the bed. It was a naked man with his skin completely rotten and black.

It rushed at Selina and jumped at her. Selina’s hand straightened. She made her hand sharper and more durable, similar to a blade.

Then Selina sliced at the upcoming wraith. Its body was cut out an open hole. However, it didn’t die.

Mater released a Desperation Scream, repelling it backwards 5-meter and prevented it from touching Selina.

"You need to focus on defense as well." The black cat meowed.

Selina nodded silently. Chaos Tentacles shot out from her and wrapped around the wraith.

"She can also use Brain Freeze? She wasn’t able to last time!" Becky pouted. She’s secretly a little jealous of Selina.

"It’s very weak." Selina mumbled. She flooded her Chaos into the wraith and destroyed it.

Mater opened his mouth and pulled in another three Chaos Spheres around his heart.

The black cat clicked his lips like he just finished a good meal.

"I got 30 Spheres from the Red Keepers. Those Iron Bounties only had two wraiths. One was a level two and the second a level one. Another seven. Then I just got 6 Chaos Spheres.

So I have 44 Chaos Spheres at the moment. Not too much. Not too low."

Becky leaned closer to Selina and whispered, "Why does your cat keep opening its mouth after an NCE dies?"

Ordinary Psychics couldn’t see Chaos. Unless they had Chaos Eyes like Selina. So Becky and Selina didn’t know what Mater was doing.

"He just likes to eat air," Selina shrugged and brushed it off. The best way to lie was to say as little as possible.

The group then continued to check the living quarters but they didn’t find much. They decided to leave the building and checked the courtyard.

"Weird. I thought these wraiths should be stronger. Why are they so weak?" The black cat meowed.

Selina nodded her head, "You’re right. They’re too weak."

Becky’s and Loretta’s mouths twitched a little. Those ’weak’ wraiths were enough to kill both of them. If they wanted to kill it, they needed a lot of people to overload it with Brain Freeze and kill it.

Few were able to punch the wraith out right like Selina.

"Where did you learn those Psycho Skills, Selina?" Becky spoke up.

Selina didn’t answer but pointed down to the cat she was hugging. The cat smirked visibly at Becky’s face.

"Right. Should have guessed." Becky said.

The Dark Grimoire flew after Selina like a butterfly. Its cover was extra eerie. But in this mansion, it was the least frightening thing of all.

In the courtyard, the tattooed man was with his teammates and tried to subdue a wraith.

"Hold it! Hold it! I will Mind Break it!" The tattooed man shouted.

"What’s a Mind Break?" Selina turned to Becky.

"What?! You just used that skill to the previous skill." Becky said.

"Ah. So that’s how they called it." Selina said.

For Mater, they were all the same kill. But the people of this world split Chaos Tentacles into two skills. They categorized flooding Chaos to an NCE and killing it this way as Mind Break.

"Barbaric human." The black cat meowed sarcastically. "Wait... Wasn’t I also human once? Better stop saying such things."

"Why did you join him anyway?" Selina turned to Loretta.

Loretta sighed, "I haven’t got a lot of good bounties these days. Iron Rank Bounties cut our reward in half, you must already know that. Bronze Rank Bounties are a bit too dangerous. I didn’t have anyone to team up with. That guy approaches me and offers me to join their team.

His name is Mitch."

"Well, Mitch has no reason to be such a bitch for you joining me." Selina said.

"You have nothing to worry about. You can team up with me and Becky from now on. If ’Mitch’ tries to do anything, Mater will beat him up." Selina said.

Loretta looked down at the cat. It raised a thumbs up and nodded slowly.

That cat just harassed her just a moment ago. She couldn’t say she hated it.

Loretta turned her face away and rubbed her cheeks, "What is wrong with me?"

"You’ve been hypnotized by my charm. Hehe!" Mater snickered.

On the courtyard, Mitch plunged his tentacles inside the wraith while others kept it still for him.

Mater’s eyes flashed red as he scanned the Chaos exuding out of Mitch.

"Ugh! I should upgrade Chaos Eyes to Rank 2 when I reach Bio-Lock. Can’t really see Chaos inside people."

Chaos Eyes allowed him to scan Chaos in the environment. It didn’t have much use for Chaos hidden inside a living being however.

Despite that, Mater could see that the Chaos from Mitch wasn’t that strong or stable.

"He’s not going to make it." The black cat meowed.

"Well. If that’s really the case, we should snatch that wraith then." Selina said.

"Exactly as I thought as well." The black cat meowed.

Loretta and Becky shared a glance. They both wondered what happened to Selina that caused her to have so much bloodlust lately.

The Chaos inside the wraith shot out and pushed all the Psychics away. Mitch was sent flying away the furthest. He rolled a few times on the ground and stopped at Selina’s feet.

The tattooed man looked up and saw the smooth white legs that made him throbbing.

Selina tilted her head while looking at him. The goth girl stepped back.

"You’re afraid of me, little girl?" Mitch smiled deviously.

"I suggest you should focus on what’s important." Selina pointed behind him.

Mitch turned back to see the wraith jumped onto one of his teammates. The wraith opened its mouth wide and pulled the soul out of the Psychic.

The man screamed in despair before falling down. His body was completely fine but his mind was not. His head flopped to the side with his eyes opened wide and his mouth drooling non-stop.

"Did it just suck the Chaos out of him?" Selina whispered to Mater.

"Not really. It’s something else." The black cat stroked his whiskers.
