CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 162: Emperor
Amy and Duke Salvador shouted at the same time.
They ran towards the fifth Princess that was about to hit the ground. Even if they ran too fast they still were not able to reach on time.
It was a wave of wind that held the Princess inches away from the ground. Duke Salvador and Amy did not care how that happened as they reached her. But once they reached a struggling voice came as it shouted.
"Fast. I cannot hold it till long .."
Duke Salvador held the fifth Princess in his arms as Amy looked at the voice. It was Prince Cedric who had helped them this time.
Amy said "Thank you," as she rushed to help. She sat on the ground as Duke Salvador put the fifth Princess’s head on her legs.
Amy’s first instinct was to check Princess Cassandra’s wrist. She wanted to know if there were any pulse. And Amy sighed in relief when she found one.
Seeing Amy’s reaction Aiden knew that the fifth Princess was safe and sound. She was not in harm’s way. But why was she still like this? She didn’t open her eyes.
Seeing the fifth Princess’s body, powerless and weak, Duke Salvador’s heart hurt. He wanted to know why she was not waking up. Was she so tired that she slept?
Amy could feel that the air around her was turning cold. "I think the Princess has entered the space."
Duke Salvador nodded. Amy had seen these conditions before. She had seen that when Princess Cassandra entered the space she would not be affected by the other voices at all. It was as if her body had stopped responding and her pulse dropped.
Once understanding that the Princess was fine, Duke Salvador looked up. The condition outside was not getting any better. The sky was filled with a layer of light and dark patches.
"Duke .." Duke Salvador listened to Blazh’s voice but his aid was not looking at him.
Aiden followed Blazh’s gaze and saw that the man was seeing the witch. Princess Elvira.
The witch moved up as she opened her arms. She was doing something that they did not know anything about. The witches have been rare in their time. Was it because of the things that Princess Elvira did or something else? Who knew, but at some point in time, people started killing them and know even if anyone is a witch. They are not exposed in the open for the fear of being killed.
Princess Valeria smiled as she looked at the sky that was moving towards Princess Elvira. And before she could have a chance to appreciate anything else, Elvira opened her eyes that had been closed for centuries.
Her hands extended upwards as the lingering power in the surroundings moved towards her. Her eyes glowed white before turning black off of a sudden and then she moved her hands in with closed eyes and the surrounding became quiet. The sky turned to dull gray as if someone had just died.
Amy swallowed as her hands rested on Princess Cassandra’s head in care.
No one dared to breathe, as if they were afraid a wrong move might just kill them, but not everyone was intelligent enough.
The secretary that was too excited from the start moved towards Elvira. The protective layer of water had long been destroyed. The secretary crossed the distance as he laughed.
His laughter was the only sound that could be heard.
"HHaa Haa Ha ..." The secretary scouted. "IT’S TRUE. IT IS NOT A MYTH. THE WITCH IS TRULY THERE. SHE WOULD LISTEN TO US AS A FAVOR OF BRINGING HER BACK TO LIFE."
Looking at the secretary Princess Valeria felt happy. If the witch really was that helpful then she would give her what she needs. She will give her the Duke.
But her happiness was short-lived. As soon as the secretary looked at her and said, "wE SUCCEEDED PRINCESS ..." His body moved up.
The secretary’s eyes widened. Before he could understand what was happening with him, he felt that his body was getting eaten from within. His body started to feel hot as he felt empty.
"AHHHHH..."
Princess Valeria’s eyes widened as she swallowed hard. She did not know how to react. Her body was unable to move and none of the others also dared to move.
Everyone could just hold their breath as they saw the secretary’s body getting thinner and thinner as he decomposed in front of them. But that’s not all. Once only his skeleton remained, hanging in the sky, the secretary’s bond turned to power. It was as if the man did not exist.
They saw the small powdery pieces of his remains falling down on the ground.
"Why is it so noisy? My head hurts."
A voice said which they had never heard from. Everyone present could only look at the lady that was still in the sky coming down as her leg touched the ground. Her face was beautiful like a sweet death as she smiled like an innocent person.
People wanted to react but none of them could open their mouths. But before they could understand anything else, Princess Elvira said. "Oh, are you trying to say something?"
Princess Elvira giggled as she moved her finger. "Sorry," She shrugged her shoulders. "Had it to her. Your voice was giving me a headache."
Princess Elvira took a few steps as she moved her hands up as she stretched her body. She moved her neck sideways as she rubbed her neck. Her body was stiff due to being in the same position for ages.
Princess Elviara’s eyes moved from person to person. She was looking and observing everyone. Her eyes looked at the lady on the ground, sleeping on the ground. Princess Elvira could feel the element’s power from her. But seeing it on the ground, laughter escaped her lips.
But it was short-lived, As Princess Elvira’s eyes moved up, she saw the man who she had loved but he never loved her back. "Emperor."
—-----
Princess Cassandra opened her eyes in space.
It was chaotic inside. The elements moved around in a circle. All she could see was the colored light that revolved around her. Princess Cassandra moved her body, she wanted to touch a crystal but her body refused to move. No matter how hard she tried. The body felt so heavy.
It was not long that she realized that the elements were surrounding her like a robe making it harder for her to move.
Princess Cassandra was panicking but she knew that it would not be that hard. The wind element had told her that in order to survive she had to be calm and concentrate.
Princess Cassandra took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Her heart was beating faster but she still tried to maintain it. The rope-like thing was getting tighter by the second but Princess Cassandra pushed it out of her mind.
She took deep breaths as she tried controlling her unstable mind. And as her focus increased the ropes around her started losing up. At one point the rope-like element scattered around the space and Princess Cassandra was free. She did not think about anything else as she moved towards the crystals.
Princess Cassandra moved her hands and her fingers touched the crystal and soon her surroundings became chaotic again. But this time, the situation did not worsen. The elements settled down in the crystal as the space around it brightened.
The crystals now did not stand in the darkness. They rearranged themselves as the colorful crystals moved at the center. They formed a compact structure as the black crystals having darkness surrounded them.
The bright light engulfed them again as Princess Cassandra could see the element’s power leaking from the crystals.
It dripped down but it did not spread on it. They were forming a structure. Princess Cassandra could not see it clearly as the structure was in between the light.
Cassandra tried to move a little as she took a few steps forward. Her body was feeling weightless, as her steps became lighter. Princess Cassandra swallowed as she took some long steps. But no matter how much she walked, she could not reach the destination. It was as if she was stuck in the loop of time.
Princess Cassandra did not know what to think of it. She just stood there in a position. She had now understood that there was no point in struggling anymore. Princess Cassandra narrowed her eyes as her breathing fastened. She tried to see the image of the structure.
Princess Cassandra could only see flashes of it, She could see large legs. They were like animals as a long tail emerged from their side. The five tigers stood in front of her as Princess Cassandra’s eyes widened.
She wanted to say something but the combined voices said. "It’s time for you to go."
And before Princess Cassandra could ask anything, her consciousness returned. But the first thing that she heard was an unfamiliar voice that said, "Emperor."
