CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 138: Fun
Princess Cassandra looked at the Duke in shock.
She did not know from where the Duke found this place, Cassandra was surprised.
"I saw it when we were coming here." Duke Salvador said as if reading Princess Cassandra’s mind. "I think this is the best place to absorb the element."
Princess Cassandra nodded but the question remained. ’How to?’ Maybe Duke Salvador understood the things going on in Princess Cassandra’s mind as he brought her hands in front of him as he opened her palms.
"When we are on the battlefield at night, the fire keeps us going." Duke Salvador said in a soft tone. "And do you know what increases the fire?"
Princess Cassandra raised her eyebrows. She did not understand where the Duke was going with his words. Everything was full of confusion for her.
Duke Salvador sighed. "Think about it Princess." Aiden moved his fingers over Princess Cassandra’s palm as a dancing doll emerged. "Something that can increase the flame and something that can stop it too."
Princess Cassandra’s eyes burned as a sudden realization struck her. She widened her eyes as she said. "Wind."
Duke Salvador smiled as he nodded before extinguishing the doll in the air. "Correct my butterfly." Aiden touched Princess Cassandra’s cheeks as he continued saying. "You have a pure source of fire and the elements are attracted to you. If you want to absorb the air you need to call it towards yourself."
"So you want me to start a fire?" Princess Cassandra asked in confusion. There was a slight tremble in her voice. "That too in the middle of the jungle?"
"Don’t worry. I know what you are afraid of. That is the reason why we are here." Duke Salvador looked around. "There is no vegetation here and even if things go out of hand, I will be there to handle everything. So trust me, Princess."
Princess Cassandra nodded her head as she took a deep breath. She had no other option but to try. Cassandra concentrated as Duke Salvador took a few steps back. There was a smile on his face showing that he trusted whatever the fifth Princess was about to do.
Princess Cassandra concentrated as she moved her hands. The heat and warmth traveled throughout her body as a flame emerged. Her palms had a flame of fire but Princess Cassandra did not know what to do with it.
Cassandra looked up at the Duke who smiled and guided her. "Try making it bigger but don’t add more fire. The air will help it to grow."
Princess Cassandra nodded as she tried and soon the air around her increased. It was as if the wind element was getting attracted towards her.
"Absorb the fire and take the wind inside as well." Duke Salvador’s voice came and Princess Cassandra followed it to the queue.
The flame in her palm was increasing and when Cassandra felt a pure source she absorbed the fire element in, sucking the air element along the way.
A chill ran through Princess Cassandra’s veins as she closed her eyes and fainted. Duke Salvador, who had observed everything, ran towards the fifth Princess as he held her in his arms.
Aiden rested Princess Cassandra’s head on his thigh as he ran his hand through her hair. This was not the first time anything like this had happened. Duke Salvador still remembers that when Princess Cassandra took water from Blazh, she had fainted then too.
’But Cassandra was okay when she absorbed the fire from me?’
’Was it because the elements were there to guide her?’
Duke Salvador rubbed Princess Cassandra’s hand as he felt her body turning cold. His worry increased as Aiden did not know what to do.
’I should have brought Amy here.’
’She might have known what to do.’
Although Duke Salvador had this thought he tried his best to comfort the fifth Princess. Aiden touched her hand as he tried giving his warmth to her. Duke Salvador did not know how much time had passed in the process but there was only one thought in his mind. ’Please wake up.’
And soon Princess Cassandra’s eyes fluttered. Hand fingers moved and Aiden felt like he suddenly regained his breath.
"Princess?"
"Cassandra?"
Princess Cassandra hummed but before she could understand anything as she was pulled in by force. Cassandra was confused as she asked. "What happened?"
Aiden looked at the fifth Princess as he asked her in worry. "How are you feeling now? Does anything hurt?" Aiden’s hands were running over her face as if he might lose her the next moment.
Princess Cassandra smiled as she shook her hand touching Duke Salvador’s face. "I am totally fine."
Duke Salvador looked into Princess Cassandra’s eyes as if contemplating whether her words were true or not. He soon nodded his head as he asked. "Did it work?"
Princess Cassandra smiled as she nodded her head. "I feel lighter now and I can feel the air in me."
Duke Salvador nodded. There was silence in the air but Aiden refused to leave Princess Cassandra’s hand.
[Where are they?] Princess Cassandra’s eyes widened as she suddenly got up making Duke Salvador look at her with raised eyebrows.
"Lord Bentham is searching us." Cassandra managed to say as she put the mask on Aiden’s face as she walked towards the sound of the thoughts.
"There you are." Lord Bentham said as he moved toward the fifth Princess in a hurry once he laid his eyes on her. "We should hurry." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Princess Cassandra nodded but soon her eyes were wide with surprise when she saw a bundle of flowers stuck in her hands. "This?" Princess Cassandra asked as she looked up at Lord Bentham.
"We cannot let Princess Teimei question us. You were so engrossed in picking up flowers that we lost track of time." Lord Bentham said as he looked at the guard who was looking at him with a gaze that could kill.
"Your guard doesn’t like me much. I guess Aiden had trained them well." Lord Bentham joked as he indicated Princess Cassandra to start walking in a particular direction.
"Who knows?" Princess Cassandra shrugged her shoulders as she giggled. "Maybe Ed hates you just because it is you."

"Princess Cassandra, we were starting to get worried?" Princess Teimei said as she walked towards the fifth Princess. "For once I thought you were missing."
"No," Princess Cassandra blinked innocently as she passed on the flowers toward Princess Teimei. "I was collecting these for you. As a thank you for bringing me out of the palace."
Princess Teimei looked at the flowers as she smiled. "You didn’t find anything unusual here? The wind sometimes blows here uncontrollably."
"Is it?" Princess Cassandra raised her eyebrows. "I did not feel so."
[I thought my brother said that there is a pure element here?]
[Was he mistaken?]
Princess Teimei narrowed her eyes as she walked back towards her fiance. Princess Cassandra on the other hand called Amy with a happy smile.
"Amy, there is a waterfall here. You like them right. I saw many small animals there. Let us eat something and go there."
Amy nodded at Princess Cassandra’s words. Soon the place was filled with the smell of food. Everyone was eating something or the other. There was a smile on everyone’s face except Princess Teimei and her fiance.
Princess Teimei could not pinpoint anything unusual. If her family’s words were to be believed then the element would come towards the fifth Princess like a bee attracted to honey but here the case was completely opposite.
"What happened?" Princess Teimei’s fiance asked as he touched her hand.
"I think we were mistaken. I don’t think the element is here." Princess Teimei said as she looked at her man.
"Are you sure?"
Princess Teimei nodded. "Yes, otherwise the fifth Princess should have felt its presence. As per I know, the only element she had is water and nothing else. Princess Cassandra should be still struggling with the element."
"If you feel so strongly then it is useless staying here. We should go back and discuss it again." Princess Teimei’s fiance said. "The Elvira Empire’s Prince and Princess will be reaching the Kir mountain within two weeks."
Princess Teimei sighed. "I know. Let me talk with Achard about it."
Princess Teimei smiled as she saw Princess Cassandra taking Amy towards the waterfall. She got up and walked towards her cousin and asked. "Did anything unusual happen?"
Lord Bentham shook his head. "No."
Princess Teimei’s eyes narrowed. "You are getting too close with her. Don’t forget her role in all of this."
"Teimei." Lord Bentham said in a soft tone as he continued. "I know her role very well, but do you know your role? I don’t remember when you had the power to question my judgment."
Princess Teimei’s eyes were turning red with rage. "I am the Princess of the Vivere Kingdom."
"Exactly and I am the only heir to the Grand Duke. I know my responsibilities." Lord Bentham raised his eyebrows. "You should think of completing yours. Your information ring has failed you and we have wasted a day here. Next time search properly before planning a trip. We need Cassandra to absorb the element and not have fun with her lady in waiting."
