"Have you heard? An Outer God is about to be unsealed and return. This is someone who once caused the gods of our world to perish."

"What? Our world once had gods?"

"You didn't know?"

At some stalls, a few people were discussing the matter of the Outer Gods. Carlotta, greatly interested, moved closer to listen in.

Then she understood what was going on.

Someone had discovered extensive records about the Outer Gods in the Central Ruins. Although they couldn't understand those foreign-world scripts, within the capital of the Wendell Empire, a group of Impressions residing in the Moon Tower, and these Impressions could comprehend those texts.

Thus, once the records of the Outer Gods reached the capital, they were naturally translated. As a result, the various details about the Outer Gods were no longer secrets. Spreading outward from Kestholm, the capital, the information began radiating across the entire Northern Continent.

Now, the news had even become widely circulated within the Sun Moon Federation.

Carlotta listened for a while, then discreetly bought a newspaper from a newsstand to learn the full situation.

"Looks like everyone knows about the Outer Gods now."

Although Carlotta felt slightly surprised, she didn't think this development was necessarily bad.

However, some of the other content in the newspaper made her expression turn rather odd.

When news of the Outer Gods' arrival and their terrifying, god-like combat power emerged, millions of people grew anxious and began searching for a savior, wondering who could change this situation, who could save the world.

And naturally, everyone's thoughts turned to Carlotta.

"Perhaps, she is our savior."

Many mentioned Carlotta, believing her performance so far had already proven her the strongest in the Northern Continent. If anyone could save humanity, it could only be Carlotta.

Even the incident during the battle against the Demigod of Destruction at Starlight Harbor had become a popular topic. The scale of that battle clearly exceeds the realm of Exalted. Combined with the fact that nobody knew the Demigod of Destruction's true identity, many suspected it had actually been an Outer God, believing Carlotta had already slain one.

Of course, that wasn't the truth. Yet, it couldn't be denied that the battle at Starlight Harbor had ignited hope in many hearts, making them believe Carlotta could resist the Outer Gods.

"Actually, the two on the moon aren't really that big of a problem. What I'm really worried about is the one on the sun..."

Carlotta muttered.

She gathered her thoughts, no longer paying attention to these scattered rumors. She left the city and traveled through mountains and rivers, observing the changes in natural scenery and gaining insights from nature itself.

Suddenly, Carlotta disappeared from her location. When she reappeared, she was already within a space of breathtaking natural beauty.

Here, blue skies meet white clouds, green grass swayed like waves, and the air carried an exceptionally refreshing quality.

This was her internal micro-world.

Not far away, Amelia was also here, sitting on a swing atop a hill, swaying gently back and forth with the breeze.

Carlotta's figure flickered, and she arrived at Amelia, asking, "Why aren't you continuing your enlightenment at Sky God Mountain?"

Amelia smiled, "I've gained most of what I could there, so I came out for a walk. I can gain insights from other areas of your micro-world too."

As she spoke, Amelia shifted slightly, leaving space on the swing, then patted the spot, signaling Carlotta to sit beside her.

Carlotta sat down next to Amelia, gently embracing her, instantly feeling her heart settle into tranquility.

Actually, Carlotta had always thought her inner self was quite calm. But only now, having achieved true peace from Amelia, did she realize that her heart had never been truly at rest.

Even though she believed the two on the moon weren't that terrifying, there were still ripples in her heart.

Not to mention the one on the sun.

"You can tell me about anything that's troubling you."

Amelia gently kissed Carlotta's cheek, then said softly.

She understood Carlotta deeply. Even without Carlotta saying a word, she seemed to already grasp everything.

Hearing this, Carlotta couldn't help but smile. Then she shared her worries.

The burden of confronting the Outer Gods had fallen squarely on her shoulders, so naturally, she felt some pressure.

"When the time comes, we'll fight side by side. I... won't hold you back."

Amelia said softly.

Carlotta's heart stirred.

For Amelia to speak with such confidence, her strength must have reached an extremely high level.

Recently, Carlotta had handled nearly every battle herself. Amelia hadn't fought for a long time. Yet Carlotta never forgot, Amelia was a true genius in every sense.

One could say, without Carlotta being a transmigrator, Amelia would have been the number one genius of this world, the true daughter of fate.

The only thing Amelia had limited, perhaps, was external resources.

Immediately, Carlotta suggested sparring with Amelia, to which Amelia agreed.

Of course, such a battle wouldn't take place within Carlotta's internal micro-world.

They moved to the outside world, entering an uninhabited area, where they engaged in a fierce clash.

Neither the process nor the outcome of this battle was witnessed by anyone. Although the disturbance they caused was massive, since it occurred far from human settlements, it went unnoticed.

Finally, after the battle ended, Carlotta straightforwardly handed over the New Moon to Amelia.

"I already have Sky Island as a divine artifact. Having another wouldn't boost my strength significantly, so you take this one."

Carlotta had immense faith in Amelia's abilities.

Even without a divine artifact, Amelia could easily crush Exalteds like Aldrich, Beast God Andor, or Demon Commanders. She could even dominate a Demon King who didn't possess Demon King's Armament.

Of course, if the Demon King had his armament, Amelia, now wielding the New Moon, could still suppress him.

"No wonder she's my Amelia. Just a slight display of power, and she'll scare those guys to death."

Carlotta praise.

Hearing such praise, Amelia's face turned slightly red. She said, "Actually, you're still a bit stronger. Your understanding of any magic or knight path is incredibly profound. Plus, the fact you can walk so many paths simultaneously has boosted your combat power immensely."

Only when facing Carlotta directly did Amelia truly comprehend just how terrifying Carlotta's strength was, how overwhelming her fighting power really was.

In truth, she couldn't defeat Carlotta.

But that was exactly what brought her peace. As long as Carlotta was around, she felt that defeating the Outer Gods really wasn't an impossible task.

Winter had arrived without notice.

Flurries of snow drifted down from the sky, blanketing the vast imperial capital, Kestholm, in white.

On the streets, passersby bundled themselves in thick clothing. Even though rumors of the Outer Gods have been spreading more intensely lately, people still feel perfectly at ease, after all, if the sky were to fall, there would always be taller ones to hold it up. Nothing to worry about.

Such an attitude might seem dangerously complacent, but for ordinary people, the Outer Gods feel too distant to matter. Even if they did feel anxiety, it wouldn't change anything.

On the cold, biting streets, Carlotta and Amelia walked hand in hand. Although they moved among the crowd, wearing their usual appearances, no one could recognize them.

It was the effect of magic, causing others to overlook their true features.

"Today is the Saint Sword Festival, isn't it?"

Amelia said, glancing around.

"No wonder it's so lively. But what exactly is the Saint Sword Festival about? I remember something about it, but not clearly."

Carlotta pondered, unable to recall.

Amelia smiled. "Do you remember the First Sword Saint, Xavier? He made enormous contributions to the Empire, so they established this festival in his honor."

Carlotta nodded in realization, then her expression turned slightly wry.

"That guy actually has his own festival? What about Elora and Aldrich? Do they have one too?" She joked.

"Yes, but... Aldrich's festival is currently under discussion to be abolished. There probably won't be another one in his name."

Amelia replied.

"How brutally realistic."

Carlotta shrugged.

Aldrich had already been slain by her, and his reputation in death wasn't exactly good, abolishing his festival was only natural.

Carlotta grinned. "Will there be a festival dedicated to me in the future?"

Amelia gasped. "I suppose so. And perhaps one for me too, if I demonstrate enough strength." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

It was simply the reality, certain things became almost standard for those with great power.

Regardless, since it was a festival today, the capital was bustling. Shops offered food and drinks more exotic than usual.

Carlotta and Amelia didn't mind joining the lantern. It was fun, wasn't it?

Gradually, night deepened.

Snow fell heavily from the sky, cascading down in thick clusters. The moon was barely visible, reduced to a hazy outline.

Carlotta and Amelia sat atop a towering clock tower, embracing as they overlooked the entire capital. They watched the myriad sights below, soaking in the city's vibrant energy.

Suddenly, Carlotta seemed to feel something. She lifted her head up, staring into the sky.

Amelia followed her gaze.

Snowflakes drifted endlessly through the air. Above, the clouds were dense, with only a few thin patches where the moon's faint glow could be seen.

And at that moment, the massive moon began to tremble.

"Are They coming out right now?"

Carlotta stood, her expression tense.

Amelia took a deep breath, her beautiful eyes resolute.

Besides them, the clock tower's hands continued ticking, then stopped suddenly at the hour marking midnight.

Carlotta glanced at the intelligence report.

[ 1: Above the Moon, the Undying God and the Sun God, two of the Outer Gods, have successfully broken free of their seals. However, They do not intend to immediately invade and destroy the world. They understand that much time has passed and the world has changed greatly, so They need time to assess the situation. Additionally, They must restore Their power. Millennia of sealing left only a fraction of Their divine strength intact, They are at Their weakest now.]

Carlotta had to admit, these two Outer Gods were remarkable patients. Despite her past insults, They weren't rushing to confront her now that They were free.

But while They didn't seek her out, she certainly intended to find Them. She couldn't allow Them to recover fully.

True, the longer time passed, the stronger she will become, but her cultivation speed could never match Their rate of recovery.

While They were still vulnerable, she had to act now.

[ 2: Coordinates of the Undying God are shown in the image.]

[ 3: Coordinates of the Sun God are shown in the image.]

The locations of both Outer Gods were fully exposed, with two maps displayed.

Currently, both gods were still at the same position, descending from the sky. Judging by their trajectory, They were approaching the northern continent.

Carlotta was thoroughly satisfied with the intelligence. She took a deep breath and said to Amelia, "It's time to fight."

She didn't know where the High Priestess was, but a battle of this scale erupting on the northern continent would be impossible to hide, surely it would draw her in.

Unlike previous sparring sessions between Carlotta and Amelia, this battle will involve divine artifacts. It would undoubtedly shake the world.

"Where should we fight?"

Amelia asked.

In her palm, New Moon, miniaturized, rested, ready to be deployed at any moment, capable of unleashing a devastating strike.

Carlotta studied the map in the report, her expression is slightly peculiar.

She realized the Undying God and the Sun God were both descending directly toward the capital.

'Do They choose areas because the northern continent is more developed? Is that why they're heading here?'

She hadn't expected them to come straight to her doorstep.

Still, she couldn't allow the battle to erupt within Kestholm itself. The capital would be obliterated instantly, everyone inside, no matter who they were, would be unable to withstand the shockwaves.

"Our battlefield will be in the air. Let's go."

Carlotta signaled for Amelia to deploy the New Moon.

Amelia nodded, tossing New Moon into the air. It expanded to its full size, its massive form looming over an entire district, awe-inspiring.

Yet the citizens of the capital remained unaware, New Moon had appeared in stealth mode.

Soon, Carlotta and Amelia entered the vessel, piloting the divine-class warship into the sky, silently closing in on the approaching Outer Gods.

A divine battle was about to unfold.

Crescent pierced through the cloud layer and halted, no longer ascending.

Meanwhile, the two Outer Gods drew closer. Closer. Ever closer!
