Chapter 544: Chapter 560 Relentless Confession (11)

He transferred everything into the new wallet, and without any hesitation, threw the expensive custom edition old wallet into a nearby trash can. He held up the hideously ugly shit-yellow wallet and waved it at Isabel Smith with a dashing gesture: "See, I’ve already changed it."

As she walked with Percy Stanton across the street towards the parking lot, she glanced at the man holding a wallet that clashed completely with his refined tastes. Although she felt sorry for the old wallet just thrown in the trash, deep in her heart, she found the act of Percy changing wallets to be incredibly sweet - a feeling she had never experienced before.

With a good mood, she nodded at Percy, and then, with a serious expression, looked him up and down. She spoke earnestly, "Percy, to be honest, I think this shit-yellow wallet matches you quite well. It has a local tyrant vibe."

Percy was like a scared young man, looking at the wallet in his hand and then taking out his mobile phone to look at his face, which in no way matched the wallet. He frowned at Isabel and said, "I think this wallet is incomparable to me." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"Percy, are you complaining about the gift I gave you? That means you are complaining about me, right?"

"No, absolutely not!" Percy said with a firm, almost solemn tone, "I really like it very much, in fact, I think..", Percy grit his teeth and braced himself before saying: "This wallet is as handsome as me."

Isabel’s lips curved in a smile, her eyes following suit, and under the sparkling neon light, her skin was soft, white, and delicate, her features so exquisite that they dazzled onlookers.

For a moment, Percy was lost in her beauty. His eyes grew hotter, and the rest of his body experienced a noticeable change. He quickly stepped back to alleviate the surging emotions within himself before continuing on with the conversation. Only his voice seemed slightly hoarse, "Don’t you think so, Isabel?"

A gentle night breeze blew, his back facing the bustling Bellshire Street. Just above his head was a yellow street light casting a flattering, hazy glow on his features. Isabel found herself overcome with the impulse to kiss Percy, and her entire body involuntarily took a step closer to him.

But with just one step, she heard Percy’s words.

Then, she abruptly stopped in her tracks and was somewhat alarmed by the action she had almost taken.

What was wrong with her... Why did she have such an impulse just now?

Suddenly, Isabel felt embarrassed by her thoughts, her face flushing red. She felt as if the man’s deep, captivating eyes could see right through her innermost desires. She hastily closed her eyes and mumbled in agreement with Percy, "Yes."

"If you agree with me, why are you closing your eyes?" Percy put the shit-yellow wallet in his pocket, brought his face close to Isabel’s, and asked.

With the man’s words, his breath swept across her face, tickling her and causing her heart to pound.

She felt her face growing hotter, but thankfully the dim street light concealed her flushed cheeks.

Isabel heard what Percy said and instinctively opened her eyes just in time to see his soulful gaze nearby. With a skipped heartbeat, she couldn’t shake the sinking feeling that her unease would betray her, and Percy would discover her secret desire to kiss him. Annoyed, she turned her head away and disguised her nerves with a fierce tone, "Nonsense, have you ever seen someone tell lies with their eyes wide open?"

Percy immediately beamed as he said, "Isabel, so you meant it when you said I’m more handsome than the wallet, right?"
