Chapter 525: Chapter 541: To Leave or Not to Leave? (6)

Isabel Smith nodded her head, watching Percy Stanton leave the revolving restaurant before she pulled her gaze back to look out the window.

Time ticked on, roughly half an hour passed and Percy Stanton hadn’t returned. Isabel Smith was about to borrow a mobile phone and make a call to Percy Stanton at the restaurant’s reception, when a waiter approached her, handed her a mobile phone, and said, "Your phone call."

Isabel Smith took it with suspicion, said an uncertain "Hello" into the phone, and then she heard Percy Stanton’s familiar voice, "Isabel Smith, come out of the revolving restaurant."

"Where are you? This phone isn’t mine."

"You don’t need to worry about it, I’ve spoken to them. You just return the phone to them later. First, come out of the revolving restaurant."

"Did you go to the restroom without toilet paper? Calling me instead of a male waiter doesn’t make any sense."

"Isabel Smith, can you stop talking nonsense and come out first!"

Isabel Smith raised her head, glanced at the waiter who was standing before her, pointed at the phone, saw the waiter nod with a smile, then got up. Holding the phone, she walked towards the entrance of the revolving restaurant while asking, "What is going on that you are acting so mysteriously?"

Percy Stanton did not answer her, just asked after a while, "Are you outside?"

"I am outside, I don’t see you anywhere, where are you?"

"Face away from the revolving restaurant, walk in the right direction."

"What’s going on!" Isabel Smith grumbled while following Percy Stanton’s directions, "I’m almost at the endpoint."

"Yes, there’s only one left turn at the end, follow that path... walk to the end, do you see a Whitehall Gate?"

"Not yet."

"Are you there yet?"

"No...wait, yes, there is a Whitehall Gate, what’s next?"

"Push it open and go to the rooftop."

"What am I supposed to do on the rooftop?"

"Stop asking so many questions, just do as I say."

Isabel Smith rolled her eyes, didn’t say anything and followed Percy Stanton’s instructions, pushed open the Whitehall Gate, climbed up the staircase, and reached the rooftop.

The rooftop was surrounded by billboards that were taller than a person. Isabel Smith followed Percy Stanton’s directions, walked around the rooftop, and finally saw a carved wooden door.

"Did you find that door? Push it open."

Isabel Smith criticized Percy Stanton for being boring while curiously extended her hand to open the door. When she opened the door and saw what was behind it, she was instantly dumbfounded.

Behind that door was a glass gallery, suspended mid-air. Inside, many colorful glass lamps were hung. The refracted light from the specially cut glass radiated dream-like, fragmented light, so beautiful that Isabel Smith could hardly believe what she was seeing.

Percy Stanton waited for a while, and when he didn’t hear Isabel Smith’s voice, he couldn’t help but ask, "Isabel, did you open the door?"

"Hmm.." Isabel Smith looked upward, examining the beautiful glass gallery from all angles, absent-mindedly answering him.

"Walk in."

Percy Stanton hadn’t mentioned it, and Isabel Smith hadn’t noticed it. Only when he reminded her, did she look down, only to see that she was hundreds of floors up, unable to see the ground. All she could see was the flickering lights. Isabel Smith immediately felt her legs go weak.

Through the phone, Percy Stanton seemed to feel that Isabel Smith was standing still. He spoke again, "Don’t be afraid, this glass is made of special material, stronger than steel. You won’t fall. Just keep looking forward and walk step by step."

What a joke, walk ahead... everything below is made of glass. It’s completely transparent. Standing there would feel like standing in the clouds. Even though she knew she won’t fall, it still required a lot of courage.
