Campus Ace Girl-Chapter 588 - 589: A Fight? No, the Atmosphere Inside is Very Good
Min Xin endured the searing pain in his shoulder and glanced aside, an air of nonchalance about him.
He turned back to King Jingyao and sneered, "Fine!"
Then he threw another punch, heedless of the fact that fighting this way could cripple him.
Min Xin had no other thoughts right now, only that his world was collapsing. Zhou Yu was... pregnant with this shameless old man’s child!
King Jingyao had wanted to kill him for a long time. He let out a cold laugh—
Attack!
And so, blood splattered across the luxurious office.
Wang Jingchuan was frantic. What was he supposed to do? Considering the status of these two men, if they were both seriously injured from fighting so violently over a woman, there would be no one to run the office. What then?
So, he mustered his courage and tried to intervene. But the two violent old men, their blood up, paid no mind to the insignificant secretary-general. Wang Jingchuan was flung aside, landing heavily on the sofa. It really hurt!
The secretary-general groaned loudly, clutching his aching lower back as he got up. He immediately called Gu Anxi. "They’ve started fighting! Help!"
Peering back at the brawl, Wang Jingchuan felt slightly relieved. His boss had the upper hand. As for the other one, if he wasn’t dead, he’d surely be skinned alive!
Just then, there was a banging on the door. It seemed the security personnel outside had arrived. "Mr. Wang, what’s going on?"
The secretary-general knew they wanted to come in, but they couldn’t see this. So, nursing his injured back, he went to the door, opened it a crack, and demanded, "What’s all the commotion?"
Inside, blood was splattered everywhere.
Outside, the security captain scratched his head. "Secretary Wang, what’s happening in there now?"
Wang Jingchuan smiled faintly. "Mr. Min and Mr. Wang are discussing matters. The atmosphere is perfectly fine. What brings you all here?"
The captain chuckled nervously. "If you say so, I’m relieved. I heard quite a commotion and thought someone was fighting."
Secretary Wang smiled. "How could that be! Mr. Wang and Mr. Min are the epitome of civility!"
The captain wanted to peek inside, but Wang Jingchuan had already closed the door.
The captain leaned close to the door and quietly asked his men, "Did you hear anything?"
His subordinate nodded. "It sounded like fists hitting flesh."
The captain rubbed his chin. "Alright then. When we’re outside, the situation is fine. If Secretary Wang says it’s fine, then it must be fine. Understand?"
The men behind him chorused, "Yes, sir! The situation is fine!"
The captain waved his hand. "Alright, wrap it up!"
They hadn’t even left yet when the office door flew open again, and out rushed Secretary Wang, his face pale. "Quick, quick, call an ambulance!"
The captain and his security team were stunned. What was going on? Wasn’t the atmosphere fine? How had it escalated to needing an ambulance so quickly?
The door opened wide, and everyone was dumbstruck.
Two powerful, high-ranking figures lay sprawled stiffly on the floor, their conditions unknown—were they dead or alive?
The captain stared blankly. "This..."
The secretary-general had already grabbed his phone. "Hospital? This is Mr. Wang’s office. Send an ambulance immediately!"
His voice trembled. This... this fight was too brutal! It was an utterly reckless brawl! Who knew if it was over a woman or some personal grudge? After all, they hadn’t seen eye-to-eye for years.
On the floor, Min Xin tried to lunge again, but after lifting a hand, he gave up. He simply couldn’t move.
King Jingyao also lay there, panting heavily. "Can’t move, huh... Good if you’re crippled!"
Min Xin turned his head, his voice harsh. "If I weren’t already injured, I’d have beaten you until you were looking for your teeth on the floor!"
King Jingyao chuckled. "Oh, really? That’s perfect. Zhou Yu can feed me then. How nice."
Furious, Min Xin pushed himself up and crawled over. The two bloody old men locked in combat once more...
Secretary Wang ordered the captain, "What are you standing there for? Pull them apart, honestly!"
If this continued, they’d die!
Amid the chaos, as the two prominent men were being pulled apart, they continued to hurl abuse at each other—
"King Jingyao, you despicable scoundrel!"
"At least this despicable scoundrel has someone to care for him, a wife and child at home."
Min Xin roared, "You bastard! You were hoping I’d get divorced all along, weren’t you? You’ve had your eyes on Zhou Yu for a while, haven’t you?"
King Jingyao retorted, "Yes, absolutely! Who can you blame but yourself for not being able to control your philandering? Truth is, you’re just a pathetic simp, and you won’t admit it. Hurting now, aren’t you? Painful, isn’t it?"
...
The security captain and his officers were dumbfounded.
So Mr. Wang and Mr. Min were this crude in private! They’d thought important people would be different, but it turned out they were all the same. And Mr. Min had just gotten divorced, and his ex-wife was already with Mr. Wang. Sigh, the private lives of these bigwigs were certainly something else. And Min Xin’s ex-wife was truly beautiful. Looking at Min Xin again, they couldn’t help but feel a hint of sympathy for him.
When Min Xin noticed those sympathetic glances, he felt even more wretched.
「Half an hour later, Yunxi Hospital, top-floor VIP ward.」
The two prominent men occupied rooms directly opposite each other. Their respective secretaries were meticulously attending to them.
King Jingyao had only superficial wounds. Gu Anxi carefully applied antiseptic for him. The solution, red and stinging with alcohol, caused King Jingyao to grimace in pain. "Easy there, you little rascal! Can’t you be a bit gentler?"
Gu Anxi grinned. "Sure, I’ll be gentle. Oh, by the way, I have to operate on Min Xin later! He has a fractured shoulder. Brother, you really didn’t pull any punches, did you? You could have been a bit gentler!"
King Jingyao’s eyes lit up. "A fractured bone?"
Gu Anxi patted his shoulder hard. "Yeah, we just got the X-rays. It’s a fracture! Brother, flying into a rage for a beauty... you really went all out this time, didn’t you?"
King Jingyao glared at her. "His bones are tough. He’ll be up and about in a few days! Besides, how do you think I got these injuries? Wasn’t this all your rotten idea?"
He lit a cigarette, took a puff, and grimaced from the pain. "But, it was all an act anyway. Better to strike first. Otherwise, that bastard will play dirty behind my back."
Gu Anxi looked at him with admiration. "And you call me a little devil! When you decide to be bad, Brother, you’re every bit as wicked as I am. You just saw that Min Xin was injured and took the chance to bully him!"
She chuckled to herself. If they fought again in a month, Brother would surely get all his teeth knocked out. This wasn’t an exaggeration. After all, Brother had lived a pampered life since childhood, while Min Xin had clawed his way up through countless struggles...
