Chapter 36: Peaceful Morning

Gideon finally had to say goodbye to Freya’s and Summer’s pussies. Duty called, and he needed to return to his post for now. He gently slapped both of their cheeks before speaking in a low voice.

"Wake up. Your mother might get up soon."

Both sisters groaned weakly. Their bodies were a mess, slick with mixed fluids that stained both their skin and the sheets beneath them.

Kiss marks littered their bodies, clear evidence of how thoroughly Gideon had enjoyed himself.

"I really shouldn’t leave marks like this," he murmured to himself.

"Ugh, I can’t move. I’m dying," Summer complained, lying flat on her stomach.

A clear bite mark decorated her ass, one Gideon had left behind because of how full and jiggly it was.

Freya, however, had already started moving. Even though she was slow and stiff, she forced herself up and shuffled toward the bathroom.

Just before opening the door, she turned back and hissed, "If you don’t want to get killed by mom, move, Summer."

Summer’s eyes widened. She scrambled to push herself upright. The moment she stood, thick white liquid spilled from her pussy, making her grimace in annoyance.

Not long after, both sisters disappeared into the bathroom.

Gideon rubbed the back of his neck and started cleaning the room. It would be a real problem if Delilah walked in while he was gone and saw the state it had been left in.

They finished around the same time and met again in the middle of his bedroom. The three of them exchanged quiet nods, already understanding what needed to happen. They moved carefully.

Gideon headed out while the sisters returned to their room, Summer moving especially slowly and quietly so she wouldn’t wake their mother.

Once he was alone, Gideon strolled through his territory and checked the system, which continued to flood his vision with notifications.

[New areas in the safe zone are in safe-zone opened!]

[The Market Zone]

Gideon nodded in satisfaction. For a threesome he had enjoyed thoroughly, the rewards were more than worth it. Tremendous gains, plenty of currency, and useful skills.

A very profitable night.

And more importantly, a new sectionspecifiedy for the safe-zone finally opened!

At the same time, the corpses of aberrants already littered the ground, ready to be harvested. Unfortunately, it was the same Glowbats again.

"Is this place home to only one kind of aberrant?" Gideon groaned. "I know it’s close to the oasis, but at least give me those crabs."

Still, he got to work, doing exactly what he and Killian did yesterday. He extracted the cores first, then carefully separated the mushrooms from the bodies.

In the end, Gideon loaded both the corpses and the mushrooms into a mini dumpster he had bought from the Infinite Shop. After hauling everything back, he parked it beside the house.

The moment he stepped out, he saw Delilah standing on the porch, as if she had been waiting for him. He gulped. Her expression didn’t look friendly at all.

’Did she find out?’ he wondered as he approached.

But her question wasn’t what he expected.

"Are you okay? You’re not wounded, right?"

Her stern expression was actually full of worry.

"Oh, I’m fine. I shot them down before they could land and attack me."

"I see." She let out a sigh.

"You don’t have unlimited guns or ammunition, after all. Even if they were only D-rank aberrants, there were still a lot of them."

She turned toward the house. "Come inside. I’ve already prepared breakfast."

Gideon nodded and followed her, releasing a quiet sigh of relief. At the same time, he felt oddly pleased that she had been worried about him.

In the dining room, four bowls were set on the table, but only Delilah and Gideon were present.

"Those brats," Delilah scoffed. "This house is making them dull. Comfort is dangerous in a world like this."

She raised her voice, calling out their names, but there was no response.

"It’s fine. Let’s just eat. They’re probably enjoying a comfortable bed."

Gideon understands their fatigue. He had needed to drink a stamina elixir just to stay awake for two days straight, and now fatigue was finally catching up to him.

"Just eat something simple first," Delilah said as she sat across from him.

"If you’re tired, go sleep. I’ll handle the meat and move the supplies from the bunker."

Gideon’s eyes widened. "You’re staying here?"

Delilah flushed, hesitating before she spoke. "That bathroom is... really nice. I want to use it every day."

She added quickly, "Don’t worry. I’ll pay for it."

He laughed. As expected, something as simple as a proper bathroom was a deadly temptation in a world with limited clean water.

"Alright, you can pay with weapons or cores."

He began eating the bat soup left over from yesterday. Even reheated, it tasted just as good.

Delilah’s face brightened. "Thank you, Gideon. I’ll help however I can. I know you’re looking for people to stay here. I can ask around Climber Rift for anyone interested."

"Won’t that be a problem? They’re part of the Freebound population, aren’t they?"

She shook her head. "Not all of them. Some are travelers, some are mercenaries. Climber Rift is a market hub, after all."

"Ah, right—"

Before Gideon could finish, there was a loud knock at the door, followed by a familiar voice.

"Gideon! We brought the cores, and we also brought a lawyer!"

Jade’s voice continued without pause. "Oh, can I use the bathroom too? I want to take a bath."

"That’s cheating, Jade!" Killian complained. "I wanted to use it first!"

"Oh really?" Jade shot back. "You’re the one who keeps wasting our water."

"For a bath!" Killian argued.

Their bickering continued as both Gideon and Delilah sighed in unison, already knowing that their peaceful morning had been completely destroyed.
