Brothel Manager : Unexpected Encounter with A Hidden Family Heirloom-Chapter 420 - : Tell me the Truth
In the depths of the medical laboratory on Skull Island, Das stood before a cylindrical glass chamber, a modern-day Sleeping Beauty trapped within. Inside, Thea lay motionless, her form shrouded in a cocoon of wires and medical apparatus, each one a lifeline that whispered of hope and desperation.
The room was awash in a sterile glow, casting an ethereal light on Thea’s snow-white face, devoid of the vibrant life it once held.
Das’s gaze was fixed on her, a mixture of anguish and resolve etching lines of pain across his face. His eyes, usually a wellspring of strength, now brimmed with unshed tears. His fingers reached out, touching the cold glass, a barrier he so desperately wished to shatter. In his mind, he was already cradling her, willing her back to the realm of the living with the sheer force of his will.
Behind him, Natalia, Maria, and Latha stood rooted to the spot, a tableau of grief and helplessness. They watched Das, their hearts heavy with shared sorrow, understanding his silent vow to bring Thea back from the precipice on which she teetered.
The tense silence of the room was shattered by the abrupt entrance of Eden. Her face was a storm of anger and concern, her usually composed demeanor giving way to a tempest of emotions. "Who asked you to come here? Why are you disturbing everything? Can’t you see her condition?" Eden’s voice, sharp and accusatory, cut through the room, her words directed at Das’s back.
The medical staff, who had maintained a respectful distance, exchanged uneasy glances, sensing the tension that crackled in the air like static. They had never seen Eden, usually, the epitome of controlled strength, display such raw emotion.
Natalia’s eyes widened in shock. The Eden she knew was a pillar of calm in the face of adversity, not this hurricane of wrath and fear. Latha, standing timidly behind Maria, took a hesitant step forward, her instinct to shield Das from Eden’s outburst rising to the fore.
But Maria’s hand, firm and reassuring, halted her. "Let the adults deal with this," she whispered, her lips barely moving. Her eyes remained fixed on the unfolding drama, understanding that some confrontations were necessary, however painful they might be.
Das, unmoving, absorbed Eden’s words like blows. His shoulders tensed, but he did not turn to face her. His connection to Thea, tenuous and fragile, was the only anchor in the storm of emotions raging around him.

"Go to your room and take a rest. Stop interrupting things!" Eden’s voice broke, the edges tinged with desperation.
Das, his face a canvas of pain and resolve, slowly turned around and approached Eden with a straight face.
Eden tried to stay serious and angry without revealing her inner turmoil. As he approached closer and closer, her eyes, usually pools of calm leadership, now flickered with a storm of unspoken fears and desperation.
The atmosphere inside the room came to stagnation as Das and Eden stood opposite to each other without uttering a single word. All others are waiting patiently to see what’s going to happen.
One minute… two minutes… the times continued to tickle down and it is becoming really hard for Eden to continue her facade and maintain the angry face before Das.
"What are you hiding from me?" Das’s voice, tinged with a gentleness that contrasted sharply with the sterile environment, broke the tense silence. He extended his hand, his fingers brushing against Eden’s cheek in a tender, consoling gesture, seeking to pierce the veil of her anger.
Eden’s facade shattered under his touch. Tears filled her eyes. She lunged forward, her arms encircling him in a grip that spoke volumes of her inner turmoil. As she buried her face in his chest, her body wracked with sobs, the room seemed to contract around them, their shared grief the only reality that mattered.
One by one, the onlookers, Natalia, Maria, and Latha, quietly retreated, understanding the sacredness of the moment unfolding before them. Geetha, her eyes brimming with empathy, cast a final glance at the couple before gently closing the door, leaving them in their cocoon of shared pain.
"Why, Das? Why didn’t you stay away? Can’t you see how dangerous it is for you here?" Eden’s voice, muffled against his chest, was laced with fear and anger.
Das continued to rub the back of her head while hugging her with other hand. He waited until she calmed down.
"What do you expect me to do?" Das replied, his voice steady yet full of emotion. "I can’t turn away when you and Thea need me. Tell me what’s happening. Tell me how I can help."
Eden pulled back slightly, her eyes meeting his. In them, Das saw the depths of her struggle, the burden of leadership, and the sisterly love that she carried.
"I… I don’t know what to do. For now, she is in a coma and a rare kind of energy is circulating inside her body, acting like a poison. We tried everything to control the strange energy. But nothing is working." Eden said in a stuttering voice while controlling the sadness and tears.
"Eden, you need to tell me everything. You may hide things from me. But your eyes can’t. Tell me the truth. Das asked while removing the tear stains from her cheeks.
"Why don’t listen to me? I don’t want to be involved in this anymore. More than that you are also injured now. Das.. please… I…" before Eden could finish her sentence Logan placed a finger in her lips and interrupted her denial.
"I only want to listen to the truth. Thea is not only your sister, she had a fate connection with me. If you really care about me, tell me the truth." Das asked in a stressed tone while holding her hands together.
Eden fell silent as she did not understand what would happen if she told the truth to Das. She couldn’t meet his gaze as tried to control her emotions.
"Das… I… I found a solution to treat my sister two days back. The same kind of energy that is acting as a poison inside Thea also entered your body. But your body easily mitigated that energy and recovered quickly. But…" Eden paused for a brief moment as she remembered the reason for Das’s easy recovery.
