Acheron’s eyes remained fixated on the creature above them.

A boss level monster she had written specifically for this dungeon. It was one of the most dangerous creatures in the entire Winter of the Sky, not because of its insane powers... if it was only that, a lot of adventurers would have defeated it easily.

It was because of its unmatched intelligence in using each of its abilities to the fullest.

’How did the professors not encounter her... they should have during their raid...’ Acheron’s thoughts spiraled.

However, as she stared at the creature moving around the ceiling, the answer became quite clear.

The Childless Mother was a beast designed for camouflage and its main ability was illusions. Her entire body could blend perfectly with ice, becoming indistinguishable from the environment around her. She masked her mana so deep, it seemed nonexistent to normal people.

Even high-ranking mages and knights would struggle to detect her presence as she hid from anyone she deemed stronger than herself.

’The professors must have walked through this same pathway, clearing every strong monster they encountered but missing the actual beast.’ Acheron lowered her head. ’She was the one... she killed them all.’

Her vision began to shift to the side. She looked around the area, everywhere covered in ice. Then suddenly, reality began to fade to its original picture.

Acheron blinked, trying to focus on which scene to see. Her eyes cleared and she saw the horror they had passed by.

The clean, spotless pathway they had been walking through was gone. Piles of corpses surrounded them on all sides, monster bodies stacked upon each other, their skins frozen solid.

Ice serpents torn apart brutally from raw strength, slimes punctured and drained, their translucent forms deflated like balloons.

The pathway was a graveyard, and they had been walking through it for hours without noticing.

’It was all an illusion... That’s what Shinra meant... we have been had.’ Acheron began to move, but in the eyes of the Childless Mother, she was no faster than a snail.

Alackster also snapped out of his daze, his instincts took over. He immediately began to cast a spell, his hands moving in different patterns.

"Frop fleoge—" His chant was cut short. Morena dropped from the ceiling at a terrifying speed.

Her eight legs landed on the floor with a soft thud, scattering the ice below.

Up close, her form became clear as day.

The Childless Mother stood at roughly the same height as Acheron, but her body was inhuman. Her skin color was deep red, so were the colors of her hair and eyes.

A malicious smile was still stuck on her face as her eight legs began to sink into her body. A figure of a young lady slowly took shape, the monstrous form disappearing in an instant.

She grabbed Alackster by the forehead with one of her clawed fingers. His entire body seized. His mouth opened to shout but no sound came out. His eyes rolled back, showing only the whites. He crumpled to the ground in a heap, dormant as his head hit the floor.

"Alackster!" Dalia screamed, taking a step towards him to stop the vile beast in her actions.

Morena casually turned towards her with unnatural speed, her neck rotating 120 degrees.

Their eyes met. Dalia’s words died in her throat, her hands dropped to her sides and her body went slack. Morena’s gaze paralyzing her at first sight contact.

Dalia swayed for a moment, stumbling and staggering until she toppled forward, caught by the claws of the Childless Mother.

"What the hell... what did you do to them...!" Arlo stepped back as he tried to summon his mana to cast any defensive spell he could think of. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

William ran to help him. He raised both his hands, conjuring sharp icicles to come flying in from all sides, aiming for Morena.

"Heed my call..." William flexed his hands forward, the ice forming just inches away from stabbing the target.

In that motion, Morena turned. Everything felt slow for her... too slow. What felt like milliseconds was minutes for her. The icicles basically stopped, William and Arlo froze. She simply left Dalia, who paused in the air, and walked in between Arlo and William, raising her claws to touch both their heads.

And time continued at its normal pace.

William dropped to the floor. Arlo followed suit.

Morena licked her hand in a gratifying way, feeling the warmness she achieved.

Within seconds, Acheron stood alone among her unconscious team. Her four companions lay scattered across the ice, trapped in whatever mental prison the Childless Mother had prepared for them.

The creature turned her attention to Acheron fully.

She vanished, reappearing in front of her. Acheron tried to move her legs to move away, to shift back.

But her body would not respond.

An invisible pressure cornered her on all sides, squeezing her into one position. She tried to move her mouth... but she couldn’t.

’I can’t move my body... I knew the power difference is a lot, but what is this dominance! Stellar?! Ophelia?’

「It’s her presence... that bitch is too strong...」Stellar said, trying to contain the problem she and Ophelia were facing.

『Ugh... she is really trying to enter your mind... it’s too powerful!』Ophelia’s voice strained out. She was wearing only a wrapped bedsheet when Stellar summoned her for help.

Morena stopped in front of Acheron, looking at her eye to eye. She leaned in closer, bringing her face a few inches from Acheron’s. Her breath was hot against Acheron’s skin, carrying a sickly scent.

She raised both her hands and placed them gently on both sides of Acheron’s head. Her claws moving carefully not to injure her target.

Then she forcefully tried to enter Acheron’s mind.

Acheron felt the pressure immediately, like a large snake was trying to pass through her ears by force. She screamed inwardly, her voice echoing through the World of Ilmestys.

But Morena could not penetrate. She felt blocked out by some sort of external power deep within Acheron’s consciousness.

Her eyes narrowed in confusion.

⟡"Why can’t I see into your mind?" Her voice was calm and pure.

Faced with a difficult situation, Morena’s body began to change. Her red skin smoothed out, becoming more human-like. Her features changed, becoming more alluring. Her breasts became bigger, her plain body shown in clear sight.

She became a lot more beautiful in a very unsettling way.

Acheron’s eyes widened as she realized what Morena just did. Then a notification came from the system.

Morena drew her body closer and closer, pressing against Acheron’s until they touched.

The lights blinked in flashes, the walls cracked in multiple areas as large fissures spread through the mansion. The ground split open, revealing the darkness below.

Stellar and Ophelia stood at the center front, their hands raised as they channeled every ounce of their mana into the barrier they put up to prevent the erotic energy from entering. They had been pushed that far back.

However, slowly, it began to pour in.

「I can’t hold it any longer!」Stellar shouted, her aura flickering, signaling she would go out of mana soon.

Ophelia was on the verge of stopping when a groan came from behind.
