Bro, I'm not an Undead!-Chapter 1640: The Acceleration Incident (1)
It took Aurolio almost eleven years to learn how to use the Mastered Void Gate.
For Elita, it hardly took four years for her to get the hang of it and decide how she wanted to interpret the void.
Uyuniya was a special case, and in more ways than one. With the mentorship from seasoned Void users in her world, she managed to develop her Mastered Void Gate in a little over three months.
...But then there was Fulgardt. The Immoral had been handed the key to temporary Voided Undeath powers only recently and was just now accessing them.
Fulgardt developed and decided on his interpretation of the void in an instant, manifesting a Bare Guise immediately as evidence of his phenomenal skill with concepts that eclipsed the general Common Reality Leagues.
He was no prodigy, however. In terms of natural talent, he wasn’t even on the level of Uyuniya; indeed, the alien princess was a natural-born talent.
It was a widely recognized fact that those who could use their Broader Existence to dish out physical attacks were closer to the terrifying power known as Zu’sse than anyone else. They were few and far between. Even Fulgardt had never learned how to do that, however insignificant it seemed at a glance.
That said, the Immoral’s current prowess was all as a result of his hard work and loose moral ethics. Only he knew how much tiresome and straining work it took to master the fundamental usage of the original version of the Fruit of World Myths that he received from the Wanderer Who Seeds. Unlike the imitation he created for a possible successor – the one Skullius used – which had a lot of training wheels, like the PHANTASMIC RETAINERS which lessened the burden of the nine Seeds of the Fruit of World Myths, his had no guide. He had to work out all the kinks tied to [Evil Darkness] and [Just Light] all on his own, developing assortments of frightening powers.
The constant conflict he was embroiled in back in the days of the Second Grand War helped him infinitely. Clashing with the Deities through Rayn was his training for the wider reality. It was because of this that Fulgardt learned to use Higher Fundamental Barter to create his own power system with the Seeds. And oh, how masterfully did he craft it. The Seeds gave a nigh limitless range of utility.
Crude World Projection allowed the user to exit their physical body and roam around as a dark humanoid – a consciousness – with a greater grasp on [Evil Darkness].
Crude World Injection allowed Fulgardt to disburse his will into other living vessels including his own; he could even grant the infected vessels his powers.
Master Cataract allowed the Immoral to create weaknesses in any target. Naturally, the weakness created depended on the sturdiness of the enemy.
Limitless Paradox allowed him to repeat a single action infinitely within a single second.
The Womb allowed him to create a cocoon of darkness that could not be dispersed unless it was severed into more than a hundred pieces.
Exorbitance allowed him to deal damage with an exponential factor of 20.
Melding Stitches allowed the Immoral to create firm stitches that attached themselves to a target and an aspect of reality, like space, fixing it (the target) in place; though there were other ways to use the stitches.
Delight’s Pursuit forced targets to see the deepest desires of their hearts and get lost in them, but it could also be used on the user. When they were also cast under its spell, they were able to manifest their desires into reality – even if to a very limited extent.
(A/N: Refer to Ch.1008.)
Last, but not least, there was Seramoro, Oblivion’s Edge. This Seed transformed the user into a stronger, purer version of themselves. Even before Fulgardt was restored from the past, this Seed had been used twice before on Aigas, expelling the profound manifestation of Fulgardt, with wild dark hair, a dark hemp cloth around his waist, black tassels around his wrists and ankles, and a layer over of his face that looked like a second visage.
That manifestation was back a third time on Aigas, flying in the tattered sky and violently expelling tremendous swathes of Voided Death Essence. Instead of a second face, it had donned a Bare Guise – a basic kind of mask, colored in black and gold.
"Something’s coming, Soizar!" Souran said excitedly, watching from her ship. But Soizar wasn’t having it.
He’d been spared from Vagabond’s (Listafelle’s Realm rank Treasures) effect since Souran summoned him out of the range of its glinting steel shards.
Swiping away the dirt from his suit, he clacked his teeth and glared malevolently at his counterpart. "Don’t change the damn subject! You were supposed to protect my Doom Knight not waste them!"
Souran wasn’t listening. At this altitude, the two were safe from Quintess’ Zu’sse – most of it anyway. But even if they happened to still be pressured by the Deity’s presence, that wouldn’t have been enough to retain the feminine Arch-Lich’s interest anymore.
Boron had just been sent flying after charging at Quintess. He was grinning, thrilled that he had made direct contact with the bastard’s Zu’sse and not been instantly obliterated. It was a fascinating notion indeed. The number of individuals in the wider reality who could claim a feat like this could be counted on a single human hand.
...Yet Souran was no longer interested in that. Not with what her intuition was telling her about Fulgardt.
"Just watch, you old fool!" she said, gripping the collar of Soizar’s suit and shaking him, her socket flames blazing madly. "Don’t miss it! Get ready to waste the rest of the Knights you brought along!"
Indeed, something phenomenal was about to happen.
....But not before a certain player on this battlefield butted in with extravagance!

[Author’s Note]
Sorry for the gaps in updates... again. There is going to be a mass release on the fifteenth. I’m serious this time. It’s the first in a long line of debts to be paid for my absences. I too want to retain the momentum of this battle.
