Bro, I'm not an Undead!-Chapter 1621: Disciples of the Future Hybrid (1)
Before she could even fathom it, or even distinguish the stabbing agony coming from the gouged out part of her arm from the sudden intense burning under her skin, Pherdanta gasped at the sudden glow that ran over her appendage. By the time she tried to warn everyone about the coming danger…
BOOOM!
There was a wild distortion around the Unlimited Star before an earsplitting explosion erupted from her. A gigantic, muted flaming mushroom rolled outward, flinging the desert sand, the air and everyone who had been around her at light speeds in all directions. It was a terribly unpleasant experience. Even Kintar, who shuddered at Pherdanta's fate before anyone else, spat blood from the sudden damage.
Aurolio, Elita and Uyuniya donned similar looks of worry and pain behind their Bare Guises, but everyone else did not have that luxury.
The masked man was cunning. The explosion from Pherdanta was but one part of his plan to eliminate everyone in one go.
Almost immediately after Pherdanta's arm blew up, more of the strange, man-shaped cacti sprang forth from the sand, Undeath energy radiating from their bodies. They rose in the directions the Stark Troops and the Generals of Boron were flying in, eager to receive them.
…And receive them they did.
Several of the Stark Troops were instantly devoured by the raging pennons of Undeath, as was yet another Cavern General!
"SHIT!" Kintar cried.
She saw the Stark Constellation on some of the Stark Troops to fall prey to the cacti wrestle against the torrents of Undeath… only to immediately falter and fizzle out. The expert in question was immediately swallowed up body and soul.
Here, within this odd domain of the ghost of the masked man… even the Stark Constellation could be overwhelmed!
Yet, as terrifying of a reality as this was, all the heavy hitters struggling for their lives here had a more vicious concern.
Rias was marking all of them while they were still airborne, flying and disoriented. His speed was unreal. Now, the fruits of having this alternate body he had created with Aimon earlier to defend from Kintar's Magecraft were bearing fruit.
Aimon was a curious thing, indeed. Everything the conduit created for Rias was a secondary conduit. In other words, everything the deer head produced could do the same thing it could do, only to a smaller scale; all products could transform and influence transformation in other things they came into contact with!
This was how Rias had turned Pherdanta's arm into a bomb with the simple "touch' he had managed on her.
That was why his current body was seemingly able to morph into different conveniently troublesome shapes and properties for his opponents, like how he developed properties on his arm that directly countered Void Clot. Borrowing Aimon's properties, his body could use the imagining aspect of his Andori to constantly transform, making him invulnerable even to Mastered Void Gate Aspects; even turning his physical body into something thinner than air so as to phase through physical blows was a trifle.
Kintar gritted her teeth and strained her eyes.
A monster of that calibre… was headed right for her, streaking across the bright sky as though he was a part of it.
"You're going to pick us all off one by one now, huh? DREAM ON, DICKHEAD!" the former Realm Source Mage cried, and she channeled all her strength, converting some of it into pure magic. Her fury might have been added to the mix, bolstering her power.
Who knew Pherdanta's fate? No one was able to confirm it. Whatever the case, Kintar would give the masked man hell!
The temperature within the desert spiralled out of control, and a harsh purple tint lit up the air as the bipolar wonder roared. Her body broke apart and her very human essence ruptured into a tempestuous hurricane of twisting flames. She spun and roiled and burned and charged forward as the mighty pillar, threatening to burn even the sky above.
The sheer gushing pressure from her transformation sent everyone else zooming backwards – a counter force that saved them from her fiery wrath.
Using her own body for mustering the very pinnacle of Elemental Overdose, Kintar was a formidable threat to any Divine of a standard calibre.
…But the masked man Rias could match her.
A cool smile slipped on his face behind his mask… and he broke apart and became a raging cyclonic snowstorm. His power was beyond that of Kintar's. He leaned forward, spinning, roiling, chilling, and smashed into Kintar, killing her temperature. The temporary dance of fire and ice that followed ultimately culminated in a raging rainstorm nanoseconds later.
…But Kintar and Rias met each other where the two forces mixed. The former was a human-shaped mess of purple fire, the latter a chilling figure spewing black cold. Rias was faster. He had Kintar freezing into swirls of white ice in a second, and a micro instance later, he chopped down on her, smashing her torso and sending her arm flying. Steam and blood blew out of the Unlimited Star.
…Yet even then, she wouldn't be bested.
"Don't count your eggs just yet, freak!" she cried, and her flying, frozen arm shot a jet of fire from its stump, flew in an arc at rapid speeds, and landed on Rias' cold back. Kintar grinned like a demon.
"GOTCHA!"
She immediately applied the absolute essence of Infinitesimal Division. She would divide Rias against himself! Even if it didn't work entirely, the masked man would still take damage enough to create an opening for her to recover and attac—
"An egg analogy, huh? What a coincidence," said Rias with a cool smile. It was then that he acknowledged the hand pressed against his back, infusing a vicious essence into him. He didn't reject it or even remark its presence.
Infinitesimal Division shredded through him.
…And multiplied him instead.
Two hundred Riases, all glazed with ice and black, frigid vapours poured out of the one, and sprayed in different directions at excessive speeds.
…!!!
Kintar's face turned hard and white.
'He could do even… that?' she thought… before ten Riases brutally smashed her down and sent her bits flying to the ground like hard shards of glass.
The rest of them rode the skies as though it were a bridge, zooming towards the other enemies. Barely 0.00000000002 seconds had passed since the remaining members of the Anti-Masked Man squad were blasted away by the force of Kintar's transformation, and the masked man made his way to each of them in half that time.
He went for Elita next.
She barely saw the seven of him that targeted her clearly, but she had already reinforced herself with as much Voided Death Essence as she could. She could have almost been three-quarters of the way as tough as she could be while employing Void Clot.
…But the masked man had the cure to her defenses. He'd pierced them when she'd had Void Clot. Doing the same when she didn't have that was as easy as killing a Foundation Stage expert.
"You'll make a good ingredient too," said the masked men in unison.
…And they dug into the former Paladin Champion's chest and neck with their hands, ripping her apart from the torso.
Aurolio was next as a victim. The nine Riases heading for him would have dealt with him just as easily.
However… he was a disciple of a mysterious man of the future!
