Chapter 25 - 25:Tears, Letters, and Royal Jealousy
Chapter 25:Tears, Letters, and Royal Jealousy.
Jolly's expression turned sour as she looked at Mohini with disgust. "You can't deliver your head, yet you want me to deliver mine? The boss didn't even utter anything, yet you went ahead and fired yourself. Isn't that because you're tired of the job?" she sneered mockingly.
Mohini's eyes widened. "No... not at all, that's not true. Jolly, please help me!" she burst into tears again.
Jolly distanced herself from Mohini. "Please don't waste more time here. You should leave immediately," she commented and walked away.
Mohini shouted her name, but Jolly didn't even turn back. Her legs became weak, and she collapsed to the ground. "I'm doomed... She was the one who forced me to do this. I didn't want to do it before," she cried for a long time. "It's fine. I'll just look for a random job that could fetch me daily income," she thought with a determined look on her face, even though her heart was aching badly.
She stood up and left with a pale face, which made her look more like a ghost.
...
"Bye bye! See you tomorrow!" Zaiyila waved at Elizabeth, and both of them shared a flying kiss before she ran into the car that was waiting for her.
As soon as she entered, she removed her mask immediately and bounced on Everett, then kissed him. After a short while, she pulled away and smiled beautifully, staring at him without blinking.
"My Queen is quite happy this afternoon. What's the secret behind it?" Everett raised his brows suspiciously.

Zaiyila smiled even more and sat on his lap with her arms around his neck. "Well, I learned something new today, so I'm happy," she responded. "And I think I should test it on you," she added after a short pause.
Everett raised his brows in surprise. "Uhn..." he mumbled, unsure of what to say.
"You won't allow me?" Zaiyila asked, the happiness on her face slowly fading.
"That's not possible," Everett quickly responded, noticing her joy beginning to vanish. He didn't want that at all. "My Queen owns my body. You can do whatever you want with it," he affirmed, holding her hand and kissing it.
Immediately, Zaiyila's happiness returned. "Really?" Her eyes shimmered with joy.
"Really," Everett chuckled.
"Ah, you won't stop me as well?"
"I won't stop you at all."
"You promise?"
"Mhm, I promise."
"Then... you are not allowed to go back on your promise. You should seal it now."
Everett stared longer at Zaiyila before pulling her to himself and going in for another round of kisses, sucking her lips as if they were his favorite candy.
Well... they probably were.
After a short while, he released her and smiled warmly. "That's the seal," he remarked.
Zaiyila chuckled happily. "Let me tell you—if I want to practice later and you try to stop me... I... will cry... cry very loudly," she warned with a resolute gaze.
Everett's smile widened. "My Queen is so cute and beautiful," he complimented.
Zaiyila blushed.
"We've arrived, Your Majesties!" the driver announced, and Zaiyila's bodyguard immediately got down, opening the car door for them.
Everett carried Zaiyila in a bridal style and exited the car.
Zaiyila's gaze fell on her bodyguard, and she seemed to recall something. "Put me down first," she instructed.
Everett frowned slightly but obeyed her calmly.
Zaiyila unzipped her bag and brought out the envelope that Gloria had given her.
As she brought it out, the first thing that entered Everett's sight was the big pink heart shape on the envelope. His brows rose, and he was about to speak when he saw Zaiyila extend it to her bodyguard.
"For you," she offered with a warm smile.
The bodyguard was stunned and immediately stepped back. His usually cold and calm expression crumbled and was replaced with panic. He was even slightly trembling.
Zaiyila was dumbfounded and moved closer to him. "Here, have it. It's for you," she spoke softly, trying to calm him, but this only worsened the bodyguard's condition.
Black lines appeared on Everett's face, but he didn't speak. If anyone looked into his eyes at that moment, they would see that they were no longer human.
Zaiyila seemed not to notice anything and continued trying to persuade the bodyguard to take it, but he firmly rejected her.
Zaiyila sighed and looked at Everett. "Eve, he's not taking it from me," she complained.
Eve gritted his teeth and looked at the bodyguard with clear killing intent. "You're rejecting the Queen?" His voice was abnormally cold.
The bodyguard trembled even more. "I... I... I... dare not," he stammered, and with shaking hands, he collected it from Zaiyila. "The next thing now is to commit suicide before the King decides to end me himself," he thought, crying inwardly.
Zaiyila smiled in satisfaction. "You should consider her. Even though she's average-looking, I think she's kind. Don't just reject her directly, okay?" she advised.
The atmosphere instantly became abnormally silent. Even the shivering bodyguard stopped shaking and stared at Zaiyila in disbelief.
Everett furrowed his brows slightly and looked at Zaiyila. "Darling, this..." he began.
Zaiyila looked at him and stretched out her hands, wanting him to carry her, and he did. "My classmate seems to have taken a liking to him, so she wrote the letter and asked me to deliver it to him," she explained.
"Oh!" Both the bodyguard and Everett sighed in relief.
"No need for suicide anymore. I'm still safe. Very safe," the bodyguard thought, thanking the heavens repeatedly.
Everett was also relieved inwardly, but he suddenly frowned. "You're a Queen, yet you're allowing one useless human to send you on a brainless errand?" His voice was slightly raised, revealing his anger.
Zaiyila's smiling face froze, and her eyes welled up with tears immediately. "I was just trying to help, and you're scolding me. If I were in her position, wouldn't I do the same?" Two drops of tears escaped her eyes.
The bodyguard immediately vanished, not wanting to be involved.
Everett blinked twice, not knowing what to say. "I'm not scolding you, my Queen," he replied.
"You scolded me. You raised your voice at me," she cried, no different from a spoiled child.
Everett sighed and gently patted her head. "I'm sorry, my Queen. I won't repeat that again," he pleaded.
"Wuuu..." Zaiyila cried even more.
"Alright, alright. It's my fault. I admit it. I'll never do that again, okay? Please stop crying," Everett continued pleading for a long time before Zaiyila finally stopped.
"I want to eat," she said, wiping her tears.
"Alright, let's eat," Everett agreed and carried Zaiyila inside while she clung to his neck, smiling secretly.
