Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest-Chapter 1864: A Child With Too Much Power
-----
Even without fully understanding anything, her resolve—forged from her own self-inflicted curse—blazed with the darkness born from a woman who had lost everything.
"Is that so? Heheh... then don’t worry! I will help you win the Holy War, master~! I will bring back a smile to that face. That is my duty as an artist and entertainer."
"O-Okay... What... do I do now?"
"Hm? You don’t have to worry! I’ll do it all myself! Just sit there and— Oh wow, is this a comic book? I loooove comic books—wow! Japanese? I can read it though!"
The young heroic spirit held the Japanese comic book and began reading it, fascinated by the creative liberties and the raw, more mature storytelling.
"Amazing! This is so good! But it’s in black and white, huh? I wish it had some color but whatever~ What is this?"
"T-Takeru... my boy... he used to love that manga..."
"...Is that so? Hmm... alright! It holds a lot of emotional attachment. May I use it?"
"Eh? For what?"
"I shall make it our first friend! He’ll make sure that we win the Holy War!"
"...?"
The boy waved his hand, drawing over the manga as it floated. Watercolor magic surged, rapidly transforming and manifesting into the form of someone.
A strange, bizarre being—what Caster believed to be the author, even if it truly wasn’t.
"You are this manga’s creator, you are the master of manga, the Mangaka! Use your power and make sure to kill anybody you find participating! Go!"
"Yes, master! I will! Hahaha!"
The manga flapped as if alive and flew out the window, rushing somewhere else entirely.
The boy turned back to his master, smiling warmly.
"I wanna go explore and draw more. Can’t we go outside?"
"Eh? But— Ah, wait! We can’t let other people see you!"
She ran after him as the boy started drawing in the streets, causing commotion and chaos as his drawings came to life and occasionally killed people.

"Hahaha! Hehehehe! This is sooooo much fun! Hahahahahahahaha!"
The Mangaka laughed like a child. His looming, gigantic, and strangely bizarre body moved across the Panel World as the young students he had trapped inside constantly battled warped, cartoony versions of themselves, embodying their "tropes" or something. Ink rained down, forming dozens of ink clones of the group themselves. They were distorted, exaggerated parodies.
Elena’s clone had comically huge sparkling eyes and was constantly posing like a magical girl. This deeply disgusted her, making her rush against her clone and attack it right away after her hesitation ended.
Harumi’s clone wore a frilly gothic lolita dress and kept saying "kyaa~" while throwing blood hearts. Like Elena, this worked as wonderful rage bait, making her so mad she charged without even thinking this might be the creation of a Heroic Spirit.
Erika’s clone was a chibi werewolf that only howled the word "MEAT!!!", and she wasn’t even that upset herself. Though the creature was so strangely bizarre she kicked it and clawed it. The monster fought back by biting and clawing as well; their fight resembled one between wild dogs.
Matsuo’s clone had sweat drops flying off his head 24/7 and kept apologizing. This only made him... glance at the bizarre Mangaka for a moment and ask, "Really? You didn’t have any other option?"
"Sorry," the Mangaka shrugged. "I’m running out of options, having a little artist block here bud."
"Whatever," Matsuo sighed, summoning dozens of paper talismans that flew around him. Golden flames flickered from his hands as he performed hand signs at the same time. "Holy Fire Rain!"
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
A rain of holy golden fireballs bombarded the monstrous ink creatures. Matsuo’s clone attempted to evade using his own tears as powerful beams of salty water, but it was obliterated, its ink-made body exploding into pieces.
Harumi swiftly avoided her distorted version of herself, dodging heart-shaped pink beams and summoning her Sanguine Relic—a weapon powerful Vampires could call forth, born from their own Blood Energy and Darkness, a black-and-red knife.
With a leap forward, the Dhampir stabbed her foe dozens of times consecutively, without even needing to summon her Heroic Spirit. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Her clone attacked, hissing as its cute anime face twisted, opening wide to reveal an aberrant creature with dozens of sharp fangs, trying to bite her arm and tear it off!
"Sanguine Rush!"
However, Harumi was not messing around. Her Blood Energy Aura flared, enhancing her power and abilities and boosting her senses through the roof. Her dagger moved at lightning speed, cutting through the entire creature in a mere second.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
With a loud, agonizing scream, her clone exploded into colorful ink, covering half her uniform with it and making Harumi gasp in shock. "Nooo! My uniform!"
From the distance, Alma, Emily, Sofia, and Maria observed the Mangaka. Maria’s crimson eyes narrowed as she saw an army of cartoon animals approaching.
"Heehehehe! Let’s play!"
A cartoon tiger swung its giant paw claw, cutting through the pages beneath her as Maria easily avoided. She swung her black sword; the monster and its partners all died as a wave of cutting death and phantasmal energies cleaved them apart.
SLAAASH!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
As they were slashed, they exploded into ink everywhere, making her narrow her eyes even more as her mind worked rapidly, attempting to gauge the strength of this creature and how it worked.
She had gained a lot of experience battling bizarre creatures that operated in different ways and followed their own rules all the time as a Dream Warrior.
"So far it seems this thing is kind of like a Nightmare!"
Emily, covered in her thunderous armor—a manifestation of her Dream Heart’s powers—charged forward, swinging her armored fists. Long copper-colored metallic claws tore through everything as lightning surged and exploded.
"But it isn’t? I can feel it—these things aren’t exactly made of Dream Essence or Nightmare Energy, nor did they originate from the Dream Plane...!"
Alma analyzed everything. Despite her nervous demeanor, she possessed a surprisingly calculative and cold mind. She easily began to assess the situation on her own, showing her experience in the field as she wielded her staff’s powers.
The Undine Staff glowed brightly, conjuring powerful seawater spells shaped like roaring sea serpents that wrapped around foes and exploded, or firing highly pressurized water rays that pierced holes through the Ink Monsters and made them burst.
"They seem fairly weak despite the quantity. Is this creature prioritizing the rapid creation of small fry? Hah, that’ll hardly be enough!"
Sofia moved gracefully, conjuring swords made of light and firing them everywhere, rapidly beginning to clean the battlefield on her own. Her Dream Spirit, the automaton, danced by her side, protecting her back and ruthlessly crushing anything with its metallic claws.
"Oooh? What’s this? Are you three slacking?"
The Mangaka smiled with his twisted, scribble-like face as he looked at Elena’s friends. Elisa, Monica, and Anna were struggling, surprised, confused, and nauseous as they saw dozens of creatures emerging, colors appearing everywhere, and the world around them constantly shifting their sense of direction, balance, and gravity.
"Well, if not even side characters can pull it off, maybe you should be quickly eliminated! Don’t worry, this’ll add stakes and your deaths won’t be for nothing! Byeeee!"
The Mangaka laughed as he swung his hands down, manifesting a giant black hammer. Elena noticed and rushed to save her friends.
