Chapter 195: Chapter 195.

It’s been a day...a whole day nd I still see him every time I close my eyes, every single time.

I see the way his body dropped, the way his eyes just... stayed open and empty. Like he was looking at me but not really seeing me anymore. I squeeze my eyes shut for a second, trying to push it away, it doesn’t work it never works.

My body feels heavy, not just tired it’s heavy in a way I can’t explain. Like I’m stuck somewhere deep inside myself and everything outside is just... distant.

My arms ache, my legs are numb and my wrists feel raw from the ropes.

And my clothes.....i glance down at them slowly, there are still dark stains of dried blood....His blood, from when he was killed right infront of me it’s still on me. I didn’t even realize how much until it dried into the fabric. I swallow hard, my throat tight. I haven’t really spoken since it happened, I haven’t aven’t really reacted either. It’s like something in me just... shut off. Because if I fully feel this....i might break.

I’m staring at nothing in particular when I hear it. The door opening...my body tenses automatically, even before I lift my head as I hear footsteps. I already know who it is bfr I raise my head and there she is....That stupid stupid bitch, standing there like she owns the place, like this is all some kind of game to her. My eyes lock onto hers and just like that....everything floods back, the anger and hate. It burns so fast it almost surprises me, if looks could kill, she’d be dead already.

She tilts her head slightly, studying me.

"So," she says casually, like we’re having a normal conversation.

"I hear you’ve been refusing our food?."

Her lips curl just a little.

"What, you want to starve yourself to death? Is that it?"

I let out a quiet breath through my nose, now why the hell would I give her that satisfaction?

"Now why would I do that, you stupid bitch?" I mutter, my voice rough but steady.

Her brows lift slightly.

"Oh," she says

"I see you still have a mouth on you."

I don’t respond, I jus look away beecause honestly? I don’t have the energy for her right now. Not for her games, not Not for anything.

She watches me for a second then turns her head slightly.

"Bring it in."

One of the men steps out and comes back a moment later with a tray of food.

The smell hits me faintly and my stomach lurches but I ignore it. I don’t even look at it as they come closer and tryyy to bring it to my mouth.

"Eat," one of them says but i turn my head away.

"Get that shit away from me."

They try again but I refuse everytime time until she gets annoyed...She steps forward suddenly and grabs my hair hard.

My head jerks back painfully.

"Eat it," she snaps.

"You stupid bitch, if you die I’ll get in trouble with the boss."

I wince slightly but force myself to meet her eyes.

"Who the fuck is your boss anyway?" I shoot back.

"Isn’t it about time he showed himself?"

She pauses for a second, then her grip loosens and she lets go, stepping back and brushing her hands like I’m something dirty.

"He’s busy," she says casually.

"And he deems you worthless."

Her eyes flick over me dismissively.

"So no, he can’t waste his time coming to see you or dealing with you."

A pause.

"Besides... it’s not time yet."

I stare at her for a second then I sigh

"I don’t want your food," I say plainly.

My voice softer now with lessbite.

"If you could be so gracious though..."

She raises a brow.

"...go to your brother’s house," I continue.

"And get his housekeeper to make one of those smoothies for me."

I lean my head back slightly against the chair, I say even though I know they wouldn’t do it.

"That’s what I’m craving."

She laughs right in my face, like I just said the funniest thing in the world.

"You really don’t know, do you?" she says between laughs.

I frown slightly.

"Know what?"

I shift a little in the chair.

"Just because I’ve been kidnapped doesn’t mean I can’t crave something," I snap.

"That smoothie is my comfort drink."

My chest tightens slightly.

"And right now... I need comfort."

"Something none of you here can give."

She stops laughing slowly bt the smile stays.

"No, no, no," she says, shaking her head.

"That’s not what I’m talking about." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

She steps closer again.

"Oh my naive little girl..."

Something about that makes my stomach twist.

"I am not a little girl," I snap immediately.

"Don’t demean me."

She smiles wider.

"Oh, but you are," she says softly.

"So little, so fragile and innocent."

My jaw tightens.

"How can you still want the smoothie," she continues, almost like she’s talking to herself now.

"You naive little fool."

"I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about," I say, my voice sharper now.

"Why wouldn’t I want it?"

I frown.

"I’ve been having it since I can remember."

She studies me then she reaches out and touches my face but i jerk back as much as I can.

"Take your stupid hands off me," I snap.

She chuckles softly.

"You seem to have so much bite when it comes to me," she says.

Her fingers linger for a second before dropping it.

"But you never stopped to wonder..."

She tilts her head.

"...where your sickness came from?"

That makes me freeze completely as my eyes snap to hers.

"What do you mean?"

She laughs.....the sound making my skin crawl.

"Are you going to talk or not?" I snap, irritation rising again.

"I’m not in the mood for whatever nonsense you’re doing."

She sighs dramatically.

"You’re being rude," she says.

"But I’m feeling nice today."

She shrugs slightly.

"So I’ll let it slide."

My patience snaps.

"Talk."

She looks at me, straight into my eyes...

"Your smoothies..." she says slowly.

She even lifts her fingers and makes little air quotes.

"Those lovely ’smoothies’ you enjoy so much..."

She leans in slightly, close enough that I can feel her breath.

"...were being poisoned..."
