Bonded Summoner-Chapter 25BS7 - : Hart Family Fun
“Whirl…Pool! Whirl…Pool!” The children chanted, as the many snake girls circled the pool around Nessa in their cute swimsuits. Jake wore some simple swim trunks and an open, tropical shirt.
Controlling the pool, Nessa sped up the water for the girls as they swam. All the echidna loved to swim, and some were playing with a large beach ball in the other section of the water park while others went down the slides.
To go down the slide, the snake girls either gathered their coils on an inner tube, or mixed their own undulating efforts to propel themselves a little and move down the slide. It was a little odd, but they had designed several of the slides to be large enough for them to fit inside even with their larger bodies and tails.
Avalara had two treants in her lap as she went down another winding slide in an inner tube, the younger plant children laughing all the while. Blaze, Timothy, and Sharona enjoyed squirting everyone with water guns, and dashing through the numerous splash pads as they played a mock water battle.
Bree and Ruby were going on the slides, and it seemed these girls enjoyed the thrills of the faster movement. There was also a bungee cord that allowed them to swing over the larger pool, launching themselves to fall into the water with a big splash.
Sati had been floating over the area, watching everyone enjoy with a smile. But then Blaze asked her to play in the water fight, she joined their games happily.
Bloodberri was giving rides through the water, for some of the treant children and the two kitsune. The rest of the children sometimes grabbed onto her to speed themselves up, but were otherwise old and capable enough to swim on their own.
Jake teamed up with Nora and Clara against Tanda and Ophelia in a game of beach volleyball, the girls laughing and enjoying as they played. Of course, prior to beginning the game, he had played in the pool with the rest of the children, hearing plenty of ‘Daddy, watch this!’ and similar.
For sports like this, the family now had special weights and limiters, enabling them to have a much more fair playing field among them. Still, Jake was necessary to help his daughters have a chance against the more experienced and skilled mothers.
His daughter’s hearths had already ignited, and in the case of Nora, her Auril Heart had already awakened, granting her a cyclical auril hearth just like Tanda had. She was not yet an Auril Hero, but it seemed over time she was building up the auril within her flesh, and soon, would strengthen her connection to Avalara.
The game went back and forth, Jake helping his daughters mount a better defense, and he guided them in the attack as well. With his Presence, he could guide even Clara thanks to her hearth, just as he guided the beastkin like Nora.
Jake bumped Lia’s spike over to Clara, and she set it up for Nora, who surged forward empowered by auril, leaping high above the net, and spiking it into the empty corner of the field. Tanda dived to the side, but just barely bumped the ball out of bounds, unable to set it for Lia.
Nora jumped for joy. “We won!” She high-fived Jake and leaped into his arms with a laugh, before he spun her to allow her to high-five Clara.
Clara pouted at Nora and Jake. “We won, but I’m…feeling a little weak. I don’t have an auril heart, like Nora. I’m not as strong as her until I give my Oath to a Divine.”
Lia had crossed over to their side of the net, and then hugged her from the side. “Don’t worry about it, daughter. When you explore the Dungeon, you’re sure to find something. We have a few of the items mapped out, you can maybe get one. Probably.”
It was something they were trying to solve for themselves. But their children might have an easier time, having breathed auril in from the moment they were born, just like the beastkin.
Jake asked her, “Have you picked a Divine yet?”
Clara shook her head, and Tanda ran her fingers through her clan daughter’s feathery golden hair, ruffling it slightly. “I think this one is much like Lia was, but probably a little bit less of a battle junky. That means Hestia or Brigid, doesn’t it?”
Clara smiled at her clan mother. “I’m…going to wait a bit longer, but I think you’re right. I like smithing too, but I’m not even five years old yet. An Oath is a big commitment.”
Nora frowned. “Won’t most of our family’s Divine willingly allow you to rescind your Oath? It’s only the Divine that are jerks and won’t without punishing you. I’m thinking of Lugh, for me! Like G-ma!”
Tanda pouted, looking at Nora pleadingly, her ears drooping. “Like Grandma Dahlia? What about me… your mother?”
Nora laughed, her wings and feathers fluttering. “Hehe, I’m just playin’, Mom. I dunno about my purpose yet. I know I’m a strong fighter, but…I feel like I need to explore the world, first!”
Tanda nodded, hugging Nora. “That’s right! You’ve met many people of all walks of life, heard so many songs, and you’ve seen many cities across numerous worlds. But you have not seen war, or true struggle or combat. Not truly.”
Jake added, “Finding your path is not something that will happen overnight. You girls have many choices to make in the coming years, but just know that we’re here to help. And whatever choice you make, we’ll still love and be there for you.”
Nora and Clara both nodded, then pounced on Jake in a hug. The mothers joined in, and so the five of them enjoyed yet another one of their loving group hugs, Tanda’s tail a blur behind her. The other girl’s tail feathers didn’t often move, but even those were wagging a little bit, too.
Rena and Nyxa were cooking, the two taking it upon themselves to work the grill under Fhesiah and Yona’s watch. Rena was chopping some more vegetables with the maid and adding them to skewers, while her tail turned a spit over the large flame. It took a lot to feed all these hungry snake girls and Jake’s wives, so it was quite the task.
Fhesiah was monitoring several of her own spits and flames, using her draconic flames to cook some items. “Good job, girls. Cooking for so many is a lot of work. You’re so sweet, giving your Dad a bit of a break.”
Nyxa smiled. “I love watching him cook and his food is so great, but I also like seeing him enjoy what I made. And all my sisters and brothers, and mothers, too. It’s rewarding.”
Berri brought the treant and kitsune kids over to the beach section, dropping them off in front of all the sand toys. “C’mon, let’s make some sandcastles now! The food will be ready soon, then we’ll be heading over to the roller coasters after lunch and a movie.”
The kitsune children loved to dig, so they carved out several tunnels while others used molds to make some smaller structures. Berri went on to make a big castle like before, and even Sati joined in on the fun. She used her flames to harden the castles, smiling as she played and helped the little ones with their structures.
Eventually, the echidnas joined in the task from the pool, though Blaze and Sharona just brought the water guns over and started hunting everyone down. Given that they were powered by magic and could shoot an endless amount of water, it was just a ton of fun for them.
The food eventually ready, the girls all swarmed over to the picnic tables and stools. With only ten of the kids having legs or needing benches, several just sat at tables with no seats, the snake girls lining up to enjoy their feast.
They relished the corn on the cob, and tons of grilled meats and vegetables on skewers. With the right oils and seasonings, the taste of grilled vegetables was already amazing. With magic and auril added to the plants, the sweetness and vitality within them was brought out, and they were an excellent contrast to the tangy or spicy sauce-covered barbecued meats in addition to being filling and full of vigor.
The treants were mostly interested in the vegetables, but they ate it all. While they started as a more bark covered people, they started to show more human-like aspects. It seemed that they would likely end up a lot more like a mixture between the Elysian Dryad and Treants, with a little less dimorphism between them.
It was a little strange that they’d be different than their mother and father, but this was essentially what the treants would have become had they not become extinct, but had been changed by Cernunnos. In all, he thought they were like a more human-like spriggon, especially when comparing them to the ones in the second Tier.
Berri clapped to get the kid’s attention. “Okay! Now that you’ve got your food, it’s time for the movie.”
The large projection screen rose from the sand, and then began to play the movie while they ate. Jake and his wives smiled as the kids enjoyed the meal, and Jake was sure to give Rena and Nyxa big, rewarding hugs and kisses on the cheek for their hard work–as well as compliments.
The much larger family watched the animated movie where within a small family, each member had special powers, including a mother who was elastic and a father with super strength. The family struggled to hide their powers in a world where only few had them, and later came together to become heroes.
Nessa said, “What a cute movie. I enjoy this a lot more than those other superhero ones you had me watch, Berri. This one actually has a…mostly functioning family fighting together, rather than a bunch of quipping strangers with egos bigger than the giant green guy.”
Berri said, “I do too, but I figured you’d like that those were about Thor and Odin, and those…other guys! You know them, don’t you?”

“That…was just weird, the story being so different from reality. Don’t you think so, Lia? You have even met Odin, too.”
Ophelia hummed. “Hm…but that guy was at least a little similar, don’t you think? And what about Loki?”
Nessa raised her finger to refute that, but then froze. “You might be right. As for Loki, he may be just as infuriating, but in a different way in real life. And I do believe the feelings of family and any loyalty to a good cause or such is long gone for him. He only cares about his entertainment now.”
The movie completed, the family then headed over to the amusement park in the distance. Walking through the gate, the place looked like any amusement park Jake had been at. Perhaps the biggest difference was the snake-girl sized seats in many of the roller coasters. With how big Blaze and most of his wives were, the usual ride simply would not work for them.
Blaze shouted, “C’mon. If we hurry, we can ride the Viper at least twenty times before the parents shut it down!”
The children’s rides were near the entryway, so the snake girls were undulating in a rush, surging past the starter area. Nora and Clara, along with Timothy and their other younger valkyrie sister, flew and headed in another direction.
The fact that his kids all sped by the younger kids rides actually had Jake scratching his head. “We didn’t get a lot of use out of these rides, did we?”
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
Tanda laughed. “You got that right. Only the treants and kitsune are interested in these simple rides now. The snake girls only got to ride them a few times!”
The treants happily sat in Avalara and Yona’s laps as the two took them onto the spinning teacup ride. The two kitsune went on the carousel with Fhesiah, enjoying the simple ride with various animals, lights, music, and sounds.
As the party walked down the boulevard, Jake chuckled as the Viper, the biggest coaster at their park, started to move in the distance. That meant they all made it in, strapped themselves in, and triggered it to begin.
The rails went around and above the entire park, a ride that actually lasted several minutes. It could only fit ten snake girls at once, even if the five carts would have normally carried fifty Earth humans in total. The cart moved rapidly as it ascended, and it wasn’t long before his daughter’s happy little shouts and screams reached his ears.
Nessa watched them go down a steep fall, followed by several rapid changes in direction and a loop with awe. “Wow, that looks like a lot of fun, but almost a bit scary. I’ve never been on something like that.”
Nora and Clara were already swooping by on the zip line with their two smaller siblings, and Bree looked over at it. “Hm. Now that I have this body, that might be worth a try.”
Sati and Ruby were looking at it all with wide eyes. Ruby said, “We can just fly, though. Is it really that fun?”
Any Cultivator Core cultivator could fly with ease, and with an artifact such as one of the flying swords, they could propel themselves through the air quite rapidly. He imagined, with the tool, almost any could maintain a speed that Ophelia could back in the first Tier, but she would still reign supreme on Valora.
Ophelia replied, “I think it’s still fun, and I can move much faster than that. While I love the freedom of being able to fly, there’s just something special about being a passenger or riding something, instead.”
Seeing Bree interested in the zip lines, Jake realized that was probably a decent place to start. “Let’s go give the zip line a shot. Then we’ll work our way up to the Viper.”
Ophelia said, “I’m down for that! I like the trampoline place too.”
Tanda’s tail was wagging. “Oh! I love the dodgeball. Kids versus adults is so much fun.”
Jake, Bloodberri, Nessa, Ophelia, Tanda, Bree, Sati, and Ruby all went on the zip lines, though Jake rode on Bloodberri’s back–even in the amusement park, he couldn’t escape riding her.
She placed much of her snake tail in a harness behind them, and they went across the long, winding zips that went all the way around the park. The track had its own motor, and it was very much its own roller coaster itself.
He watched as Bree laughed, her heavy body swinging and whipping back and forth as the zip line snaked around, and went across a vast distance at high speeds. Jake was able to see some of his younger children going on the lesser ride, the Rattlesnake. Since the Viper could only fit ten of his kids, many would go on the other while they waited.
The bird girls seemed to enjoy the feeling of the zip lines even more, as it definitely made them feel like they were gliding fast throughout the park. Nora was now stronger in most ways than when Jake first met Tanda, though not nearly as skilled with the halberd yet. So she could certainly fly fast on her own.
Sati was strangely calm as she went on the zip line, just having an amused smile with her eyes closed as she enjoyed the sensations. Tanda and Ophelia entertained themselves by speeding up or slowing down by flapping their wings, which was why they went last.
They continued onto the roller coasters as planned, building up to the more thrilling coasters. Each wife took turns sitting beside Jake, holding hands and leaning against him. They didn’t have a ton of rides at their exclusive park, but he felt like they had most of the standards covered.
The river raft type of ride, where it spun and bumped into areas of the rapid-moving river, and certain areas had water spouts that got the passengers wet. The steep fall ride where it splashed into the water. The Viking ship that swung back and forth like a pendulum.
Having eventually joined his daughters on the Viper, all of his wives and permanent summons ended up trying them all, though he got the impression Ruby and Bree had gotten bored of them quickly. It was a novel feeling, but they had zero interest in repeating any ride.
Eventually, they moved over to the trampolines with the dodgeball, the many heavy snake girls requiring a special arena for them to even function. The girls got heavy, so they needed special trampolines able to manage such prodigious weights.
At first, Jake thought the snake girls would be easy targets with their long bodies. However, their snake tails were deceptively good at twisting into a loop and catching the balls, or simply moving out of the way rapidly.
Jake had learned early on that targeting the area just below their humanoid body was the best, like aiming at a person’s thighs, shins, or stomach. The girls with wings all enjoyed changing direction in midair, but with how fast the balls were moving, it was still a challenge to get a huge advantage.
The dodgeball war was waged for a time, while Avalara and Yona watched the treant toddlers and the kitsune on the much smaller, calmer bounce areas with ball pits and fun obstacle courses.
Fhesiah joined the battle, and Bree and Ruby joined the children to give the adults more of a challenge. The strength and the speed Bree was able to throw the balls was a bit domineering, and only Bloodberri could match it. Bree also defended the teen girls with her vines, giving them a much-needed reprieve.
Ophelia and Tanda did not hold back, pelting the many snake girls and other children with the red balls. Clara and Nora both defended and supplied their younger brother, Timothy, with balls as he went for his own shots, which Jake thought was cute.
Blaze got taken out early in the match, and so she whined. “Wait, before we begin another game… It’s not fair! Why’s it always me taken out so quickly? Do the parents all have it out for me? What did I ever do to deserve that?”
Berri scratched her cheek. “I’m sure that’s just your imagination, daughter! Er, right, Blood?”
“Yes, definitely. You’re just bigger than others, so your sisters are forced to give you a wider berth, making you an easier target. Then, that size is also a detriment as far as making you a larger target, so the balls are that much more likely to hit you.”
Blaze narrowed her eyes, and turned to her new mother, Nessa. “Is that true, Mommy Nessa?”
Nessa suddenly looked uncomfortable, looking back and forth between them. “What? Why…are you asking me?”
“You know why. Are they telling the truth?”
Blood groaned. “Don’t bring Nessa into this. What I said was the truth, but it was with a little tact. Are you sure you want to hear the truth? In front of everyone?”
Blaze crossed her arms. “I want to know the truth.”
Blood frowned, but she spoke gently. “The truth is even worse. You also behave selfishly, shoving others out of the way as you get the balls, or simply not watching others and bumping into your sisters and making it even harder for them to defend you at the same time. I just didn’t want you to dress you down in front of everyone until you pressed, as we’re just playing a game for fun.”
Blaze’s jaw dropped, and she looked a little ashamed. But Blood continued, “You might have thought that maybe us parents sought some petty revenge for your haughty, selfish behavior in a meaningless game for fun. And if we did, so what? You reap what you sow. This should make you reflect on your own behavior, not whine and blame us for a consequence of your own actions. You surely didn’t think it was because we love you less?”
Blaze pouted, and looked like she was about to cry, as all the other girls looked at her with wide eyes. Seeing them not wanting to meet her eyes, she probably realized the first part was mostly true. However, she didn’t–and she really gave it some thought. “I…you’re right. I’m sorry, mother. And I’m sorry for… always being difficult, and greedy. I’ll try harder to be better.” She turned to her sisters. “And sorry, sisters. I can tell I get a little…tunnel vision, I think Dad called it? I’ll be more considerate. That won’t be good for…when I’m in the dungeon and we’re fighting together. I could get you all hurt.”
Berri and Blood hugged their daughter, and told her they loved her, and were proud of her for learning from her mistake.
Jake was surprised things resolved so easily after all that, but his kids always grew so fast. It was sad in a few ways, but it seemed they truly understood that if they were going to be fighting soon, they needed to grow up.
The other snake girls joined in the hug, and Jake chuckled as it was such a strange thing to watch. They spiraled up one another until their torsos were at the same height and able to hug as a group, thus, hugging each other with both their humanoid bodies and their snake bodies at the same time.
They returned to the match, and they started playing again. This time, it seemed Blaze was trying a new method of movement with her tail, and was much less aggressive at snatching the balls when her sisters tried to grab them.
Nessa said in their minds, [You totally enjoyed belting her in the face, didn’t you Blood?]
Blood chuckled. [Oh yes, so very much. I’ve been saving that pent-up rage for all those times she ignored and avoided my many lectures. Then, that one time she snuck the tablets to bed, and kept all her sisters up all night playing Space Wars. Their lack of sleep, and disruption to their schedule, interfered with all of their classes for days! Taking the game away for just a few days was not enough, an accidental-purposeful, harmless big red ball to the face is much better. Well, it made me feel better, anyway.]
The matches were all utter chaos, with a dozen balls being thrown every second. Eventually, the family had enough fun nailing each other with the red balls, and they headed to get the special snacks and treats of the park.
All of his children loved ice cream, even his treant children–though theirs was made from their mother’s nectar. Plenty also grabbed cotton candy and flavored popcorn, as well as more barbecued treats.
The family enjoyed and Jake was happy to see all their smiling faces as they devoured their food, and talked about all the enjoyment they had–and things that they would like to do next time. There were several more areas in their recreational area that they could check out, but they would simply have to wait until next time.
The adults were at their own larger table, enjoying their own ice cream and treats.
Bree looked at the trampolines again with a smile. “That was fun, I liked the dodgeball more than the coasters. Not as thrilling as a real fight, but it was a unique challenge.” She grinned as she looked at the echidnas. “These girls are all tough. I can’t wait to see them fight for real on the battlefield or the dungeon.”
Nessa chuckled. “You got that right. I can tell these girls would send most newly adult Norse crying to their moms. Still, I’m looking forward to a real fight. We’re all going to spar together soon, right?”
Bree grinned. “You’re on, little snake. We got nearly a month before we arrive at The Burning Steps, and there are plenty of strong sparring partners around.”
Jake nodded. “We’ll spend some time sparring and fighting together as a group. We have the simulators, but I also have plenty of templates to give you girls a good challenge and push your limits.”
Only Sati looked calm, the rest of his girls and permanent summons all looked positively eager to get started.
The large group of teens made to leave, but some of his daughters looked back at the amusement park with a bit of a sad expression.
Blaze said, “That was so much fun. I wish we could do it every day! Why don’t we, anyway?”
Blood narrowed her eyes on Blaze. “Remember when we built the Viper? We built it because you had that existential crisis when the Rattlesnake wasn’t fun anymore, at only three years old. After three days of riding it all day, you just became numb to everything, nothing bringing you joy anymore. You even reasoned that… if the roller coaster was no longer fun… was life even worth living anymore? I never want to see any of my children with that look ever again.”
Blaze’s eyes widened in remembrance, and she laughed a little awkwardly. “Oh yeah, that’s right! I… forgot about that.”
Nyxa rolled her eyes. “Yes, you would forget about that, wouldn’t you, sister? I worry about you, for when you first snake your way into the dungeon. You might forget everything else, and just fight nonstop.”
“I’ll…work with my team properly! Probably. Anyway, who’s up for some Space Wars?”
Aiko chirped in affirmative, surprising Jake as many others joined the list for joining in the game battle as they left the recreational area. He saw that Rena and Nyxa were watching the younger treants, rather than Avalara’s lesser avatars.
With the children gone, that left Jake and his wives and permanent summons, and surprisingly, Yona, the catgirl maid.
Jake arched his brow as he saw his wives and the others, smiling. They were still wearing their swimming outfits, looking sexy or cute, or both, as it usually was, with the exception of Yona wearing her maid outfit like always.
“What’s happening? You girls have a plan?”
Fhesiah smiled. “Everyone here is either one of your wives or mates, or wants to be, and are sure about it. So we thought it’d be fun if you went on a little group date of sorts.” She pointed over to the Ferris Wheel.
Jake was a little surprised that Ruby and Yona were on this list. As far as he knew, they had never explicitly stated their desires when it came to that. The two in question were blushing the most, and so Jake understood that this was perhaps the way of the two shyer women were coming out to him, making their intentions known.
Fhesiah more or less intimated what she had in mind over their bond, and Jake thought it sounded like fun, for the most part. Each girl or group of girls would get into their own cabin, and Jake would come visit them for a miniature date with each.
“Sounds like fun. I’ll see all of you soon then.”
