Bloodline of the Wizard-Chapter 42 - Extraordinary Magic Realm
Chapter 42: Chapter 42 Extraordinary Magic Realm
Chapter 42 -42 Extraordinary Magic Realm
Ronan dashed forward over ten meters, when he saw Old Wells, Vinicia, and Wizard Barry, along with others, anxiously watching him from a few dozen meters away, not yet having run far.
Ronan, frantic with urgency, tried to shout, urging them to leave quickly, but the next second, he was locked in by a powerful and cold spiritual power.
His heart tightened, and he quickly turned his head to look.
He saw a Black Robe man in the distance coldly watching him, his eyes expressing a cold indifference as if he were looking at an insect desperately trying to escape.
He was chanting, uttering one strange syllable after another.
In the midst of the field littered with limbs and flesh, ghastly pale bones floated, converging towards the air in front of him, quickly assembling under an invisible force into the shape of a bone spear, with bloody runes flowing on the spear, pointing directly at Ronan, and in an instant, Ronan felt a sharp pain in his brow as if pricked by a needle…
“I can’t let him cast this spell!
Otherwise, I’m most likely going to die!”
Ronan’s pupils constricted, a voice inside him screaming.
“I must interrupt his casting!”
Ronan rapidly made his decision in his mind.
With a fierce wipe of the blood and sweat on his face, teeth clenched, his pale and handsome face looked somewhat fierce.
“Hum——”
[Energy Missile]!
As the spell syllable was uttered, the resonance between spiritual power and energy particles was achieved, a large blue-black Light Ball appeared in front of Ronan, then quickly shot out as directed by his mind.
The moment the Energy Missile was released, Ronan’s figure staggered slightly.
His remaining spiritual power was already meager, and the casting of this [Energy Missile]completely drained it.
The blue-black Energy Light Ball, carrying a terrorizing force, whipped up a gale across the ground, howling as it charged towards the Black Robe man.
Ronan had thought that at least the man’s emotions would fluctuate, but the Black Robe man, focused on chanting, didn’t even lift an eyelid in face of Ronan’s attack.
As the Energy Light Ball was about to hit, a tall, ghastly pale figure, emitting dense black gas, rushed out from the side, firmly blocking the Light Ball.
“Boom!”
The explosion sounded as the Sword and Shield Skeleton, directly hit by the Light Ball, staggered backwards.
Its rotten shield had already shattered during the previous direct hit by Ronan’s Energy Missile, and this time it defended solely with its skeletal body.
The surging energy flowed over it, completely shattering the ribcage at the front chest of the Sword and Shield Skeleton, spilling bone fragments down, yet the green ghostly fire in its eye sockets did not go out, and in just half a breath’s time, it eerily steadied itself again.
The fragments of bone that fell from its body were pulled by the Black Robe man’s spell, even accelerating the formation of the white bone spear.
“Damn!”
Ronan’s face turned ugly, and he cursed inwardly at this shameless Black Robe using an Undead Servant.
In a fight, having a fearless undead minion take the hits, while casting spells calmly himself, both attacking and defending, how could an ordinary person play against them?
If it wasn’t for his dual training in Body Forging, without even the Black Robe man needing to make a move, just one Sword and Shield Skeleton would have been enough to give him a massive headache…
although he was already having quite a headache.
Ronan quickly pulled out the Sleeping Potion he had obtained from Shaun earlier, opened the bottle cap, and downed two doses in one breath.
Then, he swiftly pulled out a spare dagger from his waist, and fiercely stabbed it into his own thigh!
“Hmph!”
As the dagger blade entered the flesh, Ronan’s forehead bulged with veins that suddenly popped up as he groaned.
The intense pain instantly extinguished the drowsiness that was just beginning to surface.
The cost of stabbing himself enabled Ronan’s spiritual power to fully replenish.
Without any delay, Ronan, with his spiritual power fully replenished, coldly cast the Energy Missile again.
“Throw two more…
Regardless of success or failure, immediately turn around and run!”
A thought flashed through his mind, and he launched another Energy Missile.
He didn’t even look at the results, forcibly suppressing the mild backlash from his spiritual power due to continuous casting, causing him nausea, as Ronan hurriedly prepared to fire another missile.
However, this time before he could recite the spell, his mental power in his mind became active first.
A mysterious and wondrous resonance was unexpectedly achieved.
Ronan was stunned for a moment, still unclear about how this bizarre change had happened, when the next second…
His spiritual power, as if a floodgate had been opened, was suddenly and wildly extracted.
In just a few breaths, the fully replenished Level 5 Apprentice’s spiritual power was completely drained.
“Ah!”
Ronan let out a scream, desperately clutching his head with both hands.
At this moment, his expression was so tormented it twisted; veins bulged densely on his forehead, and his long hair draped over his shoulders lifted as if without wind, some strands quietly turning from chestnut to gray…
Enduring a head-splitting pain, Ronan saw streaks of mottled energy flowing in front of his eyes, converging towards a point.
Large swathes of light twisted before his eyes; the air seemed to collapse.
An indescribable, mysterious aura permeated, interweaving into an inexplicable and terrifying force field…
Within the force field, a pure black light point quietly appeared.
It was like a micro black hole, rapidly absorbing all surrounding light and energy particles…
Ronan’s expression was ferocious; his mind muddled, his vision blurred.
He realized that the chant, which seemed like a death knell continuously ringing by his ear, had unknowingly stopped.
He instinctively looked towards the direction of the Black Robe, barely making out a figure standing still.
The Black Robe’s spell appeared to be incomplete; the white bone spear that had brought Ronan an unparalleled sense of crisis was still partially suspended mid-air.
Yet, for some reason, the Black Robe had stopped chanting, his gaze dumbly fixed in Ronan’s direction.
His facial expression was bizarre, mix of astonishment, surprise, bewilderment, and daze…
as if he had seen something utterly impossible happen, on an utterly impossible person, at an utterly impossible place.
He was completely lost in thought.
“Extraordinary..
Magic Realm?!”
Ronan barely heard the Black Robe’s muttering, saw him constantly shaking his head, doubting himself, speaking of impossibilities… freewebnσvel.cøm
Ronan, in agony as if his head were about to split open, body swaying on the verge of falling, paid no attention to what the Black Robe was saying; he gathered all his strength and feebly pointed towards the direction of the Black Robe.
“Go..
go.”
Following the direction of his thoughts, the pure black light point, entwined with the terrifying force field, carried a momentum that seemed capable of crushing and eradicating everything, shooting out rapidly and then silently shattering everything that blocked its trajectory…
“Thump!”
When everything had ended, Ronan knelt on the ground, utterly drained, his whole body soaked with sweat, his mind blank, left with only the instinctual “huff, huff” of heavy breathing.
The Clean rune on the gray magic robe took effect, a faint smoky blood color rising from Ronan’s body.
The vast arena fell into a silence as still as death.
Time seemed to completely stop at this moment.
It was unknown how much time had passed before Ronan, mustering his strength, shakily stood up, and several figures, as if just waking from a dream, rushed towards him like flying…
