Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel-Chapter 547: -52- Blood Moon Song_2
Chapter 547: -52- Blood Moon Song_2
While Charlotte felt somewhat disappointed, it was also within her expectations that records of earlier times, especially the Blood Moon Era, were absent from the library’s forbidden area.
Although she had anticipated it, when Charlotte really found nothing, she couldn’t help but feel a little disheartened.
However, just as Charlotte was giving up on perusing history and planning to read books on the transcendent aspect, a tome with an ancient appearance caught her eye.
It was a book titled "Blood Moon Song."
This book was not classified as history or mythology, but as artistic poetry.
Filled with curiosity, Charlotte opened it and discovered, to her surprise, that it was a volume of poems chanting the legends of the Bloodline.
"Poems chanting the Bloodline legends? Shouldn’t this be categorized under mythology? Why is it considered artistic creation?"
Charlotte grew even more curious.
The text in the book was very old, but thanks to over a year of hard study of ancient languages through spirit magic, Charlotte could read it quite smoothly.
The poetry told the tale of the Bloodline’s rise and fall, how the Blood True Ancestor, full of lofty aspirations, vanquished the gods and first unified the continent. However, in the pursuit of greater strength, he veered onto a wrong path, eventually descending into utter madness and self-destruction.
Of course, if that were all, classifying this poetry under mythology would be completely unproblematic.
But the issue was that the book also mentioned the Creator God, Haral.
In the poems, the Creator God Haral was depicted as a follower and successor to the Blood True Ancestor, the Bloodline who had grasped the Creation Power and was the Ancestor of the Bloodline of Royal Authority, as well as the one who defeated the mad True Ancestor.
The poems even described the first encounter between the Blood True Ancestor and Haral, where the former, still a mortal, imparted the tale of awakening the Bloodline to a young Haral.
When Charlotte read this, she was completely dumbfounded.
This was because, aside from not mentioning Lilith, the description of the Blood True Ancestor’s first encounter with Haral and the imparting of transcendent knowledge was exactly the same as her experience during her "second crossing"!
Even the words she originally said to Haral were identical!
"The follower of the Blood True Ancestor, the origin of the Bloodline of Royal Authority..."
Charlotte’s eyelids twitched wildly, and her heart stirred with emotion.
If an ordinary person read this far, they would think the book was utter nonsense, bordering on sacrilege against the Holy Royal Court, and categorizing it as an artistic work would be more than appropriate—it could even be destroyed as heretical without any issue.
It was a miracle that it had been preserved at all.
But after finishing the book’s tale of the True Ancestor and Divine Lord, Charlotte had this feeling... that the descriptions in this book could very well be true.
"Could it be... my ’second crossing’ was real? That the Haral I met was truly the Divine Lord Haral? And that I traveled to the past and became the historical Blood True Ancestor?"
Charlotte’s heart raced.
This was a bold conjecture she once harbored.
She was certain that the "crossing dream" was not mere observation but a firsthand experience, and her actions in that "dream" emerged from her own heart.
This ruled out the possibility of a "memory implant."
Looking at it now, her original conjecture seemed increasingly likely to be reality, whether it was the "dream" or the "crossing," she might have indeed intersected with history... even having become the historical Blood True Ancestor!
However, Charlotte was also deepening some doubts; specifically, why Lilith was not mentioned. Not only was she absent from the poetry, but she was also absent from Albrecht’s memories.
The only sources including information about Lilith were the title page of the Blood Holy Scripture and Charlotte’s experiences after her second crossing.
Moreover, Charlotte had some anxieties.
That is, if she truly was the historical Blood True Ancestor, according to various sayings of the Bloodline and the descriptions in the "Blood Moon Song," wouldn’t she inevitably lose her sanity and succumb to madness in the future?
This unsettled Charlotte slightly.
But regardless, Charlotte had found something valuable; perhaps during her next "crossing," she could delve deeper into the true history.
Taking a deep breath, Charlotte closed the "Blood Moon Song."
This book was an unexpected gain; with just "Blood Moon Song," her trip today had been worthwhile.
"Lord Count, do you like this book? Would you like a magic engraving of it? If so, please provide an artistic book that matches its value and is not in the collection for exchange," the Alchemy Puppet said.
Charlotte glanced at it and shook her head,
"No, that’s alright."
She had no intention of exchanging anything with the library.
However, this didn’t mean she didn’t plan to "take" the "Blood Moon Song" with her.
In fact, she wanted all of the books in the library!
Knowledge was power, and as a late-starter, the knowledge here, even if not top-notch, was enough to lay a solid foundation for her own forces and meet the basic needs of her followers.
"I’ll look around myself, don’t bother me unless it’s necessary."
Charlotte instructed the Alchemy Puppet.
The Alchemy Puppet nodded and respectfully withdrew.
Charlotte lifted her head and gazed across the entire archive room.
With the keen spiritual sense of the Bloodline, she could faintly detect the pervasive monitoring magic that shrouded the entire library, its strength was so great that even the slightest probe with her spirit power made her feel its anxious reaction.
