Blade of the Goddess-Chapter 21 - Zion’s revenge for Aurora
Chapter 21 - 21 - Zion's revenge for Aurora
"Finally found the room. Who was the genius that made this school a goddamn maze?" As he arrived at Aurora's dorm room, many stares were directed his way. He wasn't fazed by this though. He knew it was weird to see someone like him roaming the commoner dorm rooms.
"Yo Aurora, you in there?" Zion asked while knocking on the door.
"Z-Zion?!" Aurora was puzzled by his sudden appearance. He was the last person she wanted to see because of how she looked.
"You weren't in class and didn't come to my room to study for the past few days, so I was concerned. Are you okay?"
"No. I mean yes! I'm o-okay. Please leave." She didn't want Zion to see the pitiful state she was in.
Zion furrowed his brows, not understanding why someone who he could tell was drooling all over him one second would want him gone the next. "After coming to this world, I never felt this way. I need to keep my ego in check."
"Aurora, I'm opening the door." He said
"No! Dont!"
He didn't listen. Unlocking the door was child's play to him and when he entered, he almost didn't recognize the nerdy girl he was expecting to see. Her eyes were red from crying nonstop, she had bandages on her body, her eye was swollen, and there was a bruise on her left cheek.
"I-I didn't want you to see me like this."
Zion stayed silent, not understanding who would want to hurt someone like her. He felt anger. She was someone who he already considered his, and he didn't like it when people messed with what belonged to him.
"Who did this?" He asked, his voice laced with seriousness and power.
"I-It was nothing. I only fell-"
"Who. Did. This? I won't ask again." Zion stared into her eyes, his own lacking any emotion whether it was rage or worry. His voice was cold, nothing like Aurora remembered, and that sight made her flinch, albeit slightly.
Aurora could only stare at Zion before breaking down crying. She didn't expect him to care about her and thought he would lose interest in her after he saw how banged up she was.
She told him about the girls and why they started bullying her. She explained how she caught them taking mana enhancement drugs and told the teacher about them. Because they were nobles, they got off with the minimum punishment, but after that day, they started making her life a living hell.
"T-They also took the token you gave me. I'm sorry, I wasn't able to stop them."
"It's okay." He said softly, rubbing his cheek on her face, healing her wounds. He wasn't a master at healing magic like his aunt, but he was good enough to heal her wounds, soothing her body.
"T-Thank you."
"No problem. Stay here, relax, and I'll take care of everything. You won't have to worry about those girls again."
"W-What are you going to do to them?" She asked, worried he might do something crazy
"Well, since they want to abuse their power, shouldn't I do the same? I don't like it when people mess with what's mine."
---
"And seriously, using Zion's name so she could get us to stop messing with her? People would believe that I'm his girlfriend before something like that." The three girls who bullied Aurora were sitting in the cafeteria for nobles, eating and chatting away, minding their own business, not aware of the wrath they had incurred.
"That is funny," Zion said, sitting down next to the girls.
"I know right? Like how stupid can a person be-" The brunette froze when she turned to see the person that agreed with her. To her horror, Zion was sitting in front of them, his hand on his chin while his smile reeked of anger.
"Z-Z-Z-Zion!" They all stuttered, barely able to form their words.
"I heard that you hurt my friend. A pretty girl named Aurora. Ring any bells?" He asked calmly.
The three of them visibly gulped as fear crept up their spine. They knew that if Aurora was telling the truth, then they were fucked.
"I-I-I-I don't know what you're talking about." The blonde managed to get out, sweat dripping down her face.
"Oh? Then why does she have the token I gave Aurora?" He pointed to the black-haired girl
"I-It's not the same token!" The black-haired girl yelled before she even realized what she was saying.
"Hmmm? It's not the same token huh? I'm sure my mother didn't give it to you and you all don't even know my sisters. My father is dead and I definitely didn't give it to you. So does this mean you guys forged my family crest and are using my family's name to boost your status? Do you want your houses to fall?"
The girls cursed internally, knowing that if they fucked up, it was over. They couldn't believe that Zion of all people would give something so valuable to a nobody like Aurora. But they couldn't do anything about it, only hoping that he would let them off easy.
"We're sorry! We didn't know you were the one who gave it to her! We thought it was a fake! Please show mercy." The brunette yelled, getting on her hands and knees begging to be forgiven. The other two followed suit.
"Give me the token." He demanded.
The girl immediately handed him the token without any complaints.
"You know, you caused Aurora a lot of pain and suffering. Did that make you feel good? Do you like picking on people 'beneath' you?" He asked
"We're sorry." The girls started to cry
"How does it feel? You're on your knees right now, kowtowing to me, just like how Aurora was to you. Do you like this feeling? Do you like belittling the unfortunate?"
"N-No." The blonde spoke
"You know, I don't like liars." With the twist of his hand, he snapped her neck.
Silence. No sound was made. No complaint was given. Only fear was on the girls' faces as they saw their friend's neck twist beyond human capabilities.
"She's not dead, just paralyzed. Probably in a lot of pain too. Treatable if she gets to the infirmary on time. I'll let you take her there."
The girls nodded, but as soon as they stood up, Zion broke the arms of the brunette and the legs of the black-haired girl.

"Ahrghhhhh!!" They wailed in pain.
"I wouldn't stay there on the ground screaming if I were you. The longer you guys wait to be treated, the more serious your injuries will be."
"We're sorry! We're sorry! We're sorry! Please!" The sobs of the girls only pissed Zion off even more.
His face contorted with disgust and raised his hand, fire wrapping around his entire arm. 'Should I just kill them?' He asked himself. His dark emotions from his previous life never left, only being buried deep inside his head. The inner darkness he kept hidden from everyone started to influence his mind.
"Stop!" Stopping him from doing any further damage was the disciplinary committee, a subset of the student council, to prevent students from going overboard, such as killing fellow students.
"And if I don't?" Zion asked smugly his anger very apparent.
"We'll have to make you." The committee members placed their hands on their swords and readied their spells.
Zion chuckled at the thought of them trying to stop him, but he calmed himself. "I'll take my leave." He said while walking away.
"You'll have to come with us for questioning." A member ordered
Zion flooded the entire area with his energy, suffocating and bringing everyone to their knees. His bloodlust escaped from his body, striking fear into the weak-minded. His golden eyes glinted with fury at the thought of some 'random' ordering him around.
"Don't push your luck." His energy vanished as he left the cafeteria, satisfied with his revenge for Aurora.
