Black Online-Chapter 54: Need Friends!
"This is truly fascinating!"
The doctors were circling Fang Raon and were treating him like a science experiment.
When they heard that Fang Raon could see again, they thought that nurses were pulling their leg, but it was true.
"I just don’t know what could’ve caused this. Test results don’t show any abnormal activities, and all his vitals are completely normal."
One of the doctors said.
It was the same old, "I just don’t know," coming from the doctors, but this time it was different, because it seemed like good news.
"Could I be getting better?"
Fang Raon asked.
The doctors looked at each other, and they again said, "I don’t know," as they would only be guessing at this point.
Usually they would say, "Yes, you are getting better," but Fang Raon’s condition was so strange that they couldn’t say for sure.
"Nurse Chaewon, you can take him back, thank you. We will share our findings with other medical professionals and get back to you as soon as possible."
The doctor said to Fang Raon.
"Okay..."
Fang Raon said, and Chaewon then wheeled him out of the room, and the wheelchair squeaked down the hallway.
’...They won’t be able to do anything, so it will be up to me to find the truth about this strange return of vision.
’I think Black Online is the reason for it, and I must level up again to see, but I have been wondering, what if I die inside the game?
’Would I return back to being blind?’
Fang Raon wondered.
The whole concept of him getting better because of Black Online seemed silly, and anyone would say that he was being crazy.
However, there was something about Black Online that was truly strange, and he still kept wondering who this strange admirer of his was!
"I think the news is extremely good, Raon. I am really glad for you, and maybe you can move again soon!"
Chaewon kept the spirits up with a smile glued to her face, and she knew how to brighten up the day.
"I hope so."
Fang Raon said with a smile.
She took him to his room, got him seated on the bed, and left but quickly came back with the late-night snack.
"Open up~"
Fang Raon opened his mouth, and she fed him with a spoon, but something felt different, as Chaewon was acting very... romantic?
It felt like she was feeding an ill boyfriend of hers and not a patient in a hospital.
She was also very close to Fang Raon, sitting at the bed as well and leaning close so that their faces were almost touching.
"Ahem... By the way, can I ask you for a favor?"
Fang Raon asked.
"Sure!"
Chaewon, without hesitation, said.
"...Can you not tell my sister about the improvement of my condition? I don’t think she needs to know, or my parents."
Fang Raon said.
"..."
Chaewon looked silently at him.
When she told him about his sister visiting him, he didn’t respond and was just quiet.
It seemed like the two of them didn’t have a flawless brother-sister relationship.
"Of course."
Chaewon said with a smile.
She didn’t hesitate in taking Fang Raon’s side, and if she got trouble for it, so be it, but she didn’t care.
...
The next morning.
It was breezy on the 6th floor, and the sun was scorching down the many streets of the city, and the sand on the beach was warming up.
With his sandals sinking into the sand, Fang Raon walked down the sand and arrived at Rock’s personal villa.
Its door was closed, and there was nobody around.
"Rock?"
He walked to the door, knocked, but no one responded, and with a confused look, he turned to the sea.
In that moment, from the corner of his eyes, he saw a letter on the table and picked it up.
[Hey, little shit, I heard you did pretty well in the training exercise. You didn’t embarrass me, and that’s very good. Anyway, I have gone back to the 15th floor as my holiday is over, so don’t miss me too much!
[I will be waiting for you on the 15th floor, and if you haven’t joined the guild by then, I think Rose Records will gladly accept you. You are done with the 6th floor, aren’t you? So start climbing the tower already, you shithead!
[Rock Rose, your benevolent teacher]
"He left and just left me a letter... What a shitty master."
Fang Raon crushed the letter in his hand and sat down on the steps, looking at the calm waves of the sea.
He was contemplating what to do now.
’I would want to keep training, but I don’t really know where to begin without Rock. I can’t keep doing the same old training exercise.
’I need a party if I want to tackle the 6th floor boss, and I think it really is the time to keep climbing the tower.
’I’ll go sell all the useless stuff that I have in the inventory, then go to the blacksmith to repair my weapons and perhaps purchase better armor and some healing potions.
’When I am done with all that, I need to find people that I can trust.’
Fang Raon sighed.
The hardest part for him wasn’t fighting the Floor Bosses. It was trying to find friends to party with!
’So bothersome.’
In that moment, he realized that he was doing it the wrong way.
When he was looking for a party, he always planned to join someone else’s party, which would already have a leader.
Fang Raon didn’t want to be a follower.
He wanted to lead.
’I need to create my own party... I should recruit people by myself... Haha, and I know who I should go ask.’
Fang Raon laughed loudly, pulled out the "Friend Request Window," and sent a friend request to a certain someone.
’I doubt he wants to follow me, but I think it will be very interesting, so let’s see what happens.’
[You have sent a friend request to Player Machary]
