Black Online-Chapter 167: Classes
"We will not know what we will face in the tower, so most of the planning is done inside the tower, once we have all the facts."
Fang Raon said.
It brought serious expressions to everyone’s faces, as this meant that there was a lot of responsibility on Fang Raon’s shoulders.
On other shoulders as well.
They couldn’t let themselves fall into panic and had to listen to orders clearly and not let everything fall into chaos.
"When we enter the tower, Ira and Joanne will be scouts. They are Rangers, and they are quick on their feet as well."
Fang Raon said.
Whenever they ran in the morning, Ira and Joanne were always among the fastest of the group, and they never ran out of breath.
Ira and Joanne nodded.
"They will scout the path ahead, and then we will follow. I’d like to avoid battling before the boss room, but if that’s not possible, I will handle the fighting with Machary.
"Everyone else will stay in defensive formation and support us from the back."
Fang Raon said.
Everyone nodded.
"Then... In the boss room... There is currently no plan for that. We will not know what to expect, so no matter what I say now, it won’t matter then."
Fang Raon said.
They all looked solemn, as they never liked going into a raid without proper planning beforehand.
Especially now when each floor was going to get increasingly more difficult.
It didn’t matter that they were all level 3 now. They could still fail. And some of them can die even if they succeed.
’I don’t like the current mood. It’s very serious, and this silence can make everyone anxious. In this situation, Machary would be more suitable to be team leader.’
Fang Raon thought.
He threw a gaze at Machary and knew that he would be able to motivate the troops with his positive energy.
’I need to change the mood.’
He thought.
In that moment, he sat down, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath to calm his nerves.
"Ahem..."
As he cleared his throat, everyone turned to look at him and knew that he had something else to say.
"For the raid to go more smoothly, there is one bit of knowledge I’d need from all of you—your class names."
Fang Raon said with a smile.
While nobody minded sharing their Pathways, it wasn’t the same with the classes, as some players liked to keep that as a secret.
Most of the time it was because if the class name sounded embarrassing, they didn’t want to share it with anyone.
"I-Is that necessary?"
Rae asked with a flushed face.
She seemed like she didn’t want to share hers, as she was really embarrassed about it.
"Yes!"
Fang Raon laughed.
It made everyone tense up.
"We will do clockwise. I’ll start, and then it’s Ocon’s turn here, and then we’ll go around the circle like that."
Fang Raon said and looked at Ocon, who was sitting closest to him, and Machary was on his other side, but that would’ve been counterclockwise.
"Is everyone in agreement?"
He asked.
Everyone nodded, and they curiously looked at Fang Raon, wondering what class he ended up now that he was level 3.
Machary was equally intrigued.
He knew that their path was extremely similar at level 2, but knowing his class, he doubted it was anything similar anymore.
"Dancing Blademan."
Fang Raon said with a wry smile.
It brought odd looks to everyone’s faces, as they had never seen him dance before, so where did that class name come from?
"Giggle~ You dance?"
Rae asked with a giggle.
"I have one skill that is dancing-related... And that’s how it came to be."
Fang Raon said with a chuckle.
They all felt amused, and the mood was quickly improving, and Machary was also noticing the change in vibe.
’He wanted to add some lightheartedness to make everyone forget about the seriousness of the raid and just enjoy the moment. It’s smart. It’s bad to have a bunch of tense players before the raid.
’That is a recipe for disaster.’
Machary thought.
In that moment, everyone turned to Ocon, and he was scratching his yellow-haired head as he nervously laughed.
"Nonviolent Tank."
He said.
They all thought that it was very fitting, as Ocon was known for not being much of an attacker, but he was decent at defending.
It was Ira’s turn next.
"...Silent Shadow..."
She mumbled.
She thought it was a little cringey, but it suited her quiet and reserved personality perfectly.
"It fits frighteningly well..."
Rae mumbled under her breath, and Ira sharply looked at her, and she avoided her gaze and whistled innocently.
"Son of Ice."
Luke mumbled.
He also had "Son of Fire" as another option to choose from because he loved using both ice and fire magic.
In the end, he got some boost to ice magic by choosing the Son of Ice class, so he chose that one in the end.
"Soap Mage."
Nico scratched the back of his head.
His cheeks were burning with embarrassment, and everyone just burst out laughing at that ridiculous name.
"It’s not that funny!"
Nico shouted.
He got that class name because he was an expert in a kind of strange magic—Bubble Magic—with it he can make bubbles of all shapes and sizes.
"Happy Helper."
Sam then said with a wry smile.
He thought it was a very lame name, but it kind of fit him, and it wasn’t flashy—just like him, who was kind of a shadow.
Sam wasn’t all that talented. Just very average. And he would most likely not get too far in the tower.
However.
It never hurts to have Helpers.
"Laughing Archer."
Joanne said with a smile.
She was a cheerful one, and whenever she hit a good shot with a bow, she often laughed—earning that class name.
The archery was very difficult, so whenever she did well, she was, of course, really happy.
"One-Legged Swordsman."
Niall said with a smirk.
He thought it sounded cool, but others were confused about the ’One-Legged’ part, as he had both his legs still intact!
"I think I got that name because I like hopping on one leg whenever I swing the sword sideways for some reason."
Niall chuckled.
Rock had tried to make him stop doing that, as it was a glaring weakness in his swordsmanship.
"Rae, your turn."
Everyone turned to look at her, and Rae’s face was burning with embarrassment, and with a deep breath, she whispered.
"Kissing Nurse..."
