[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 271: Last Day (1)
Gara returned to class, only to be greeted by Miki’s loud voice.
"Gara! Over here, quick! I’ve got the juiciest gossip. You’re gonna be shocked!"
Gara just shook his head, walking toward his seat with a sigh.
Class S was no longer split into two groups. Even Revan and Madha had earned the nickname the handsome duo from other students because they were always seen together.
Only Lysa still kept to herself like a lone wolf, Vania was reaping the consequences of her arrogance, and Mona, currently suspended, was nowhere to be seen.
Later, the room grew quiet when Pere called Miki over.
Revan took that moment to voice his unease. "Ever since you guys met my grandfather that day..." He glanced toward the row of seats on the right. "He suddenly said he had a new project and he’s been so fired up about it ever since."
"Do any of you know what he’s working on? My parents haven’t been able to contact him for days."
The three young men sitting on the right exchanged glances, then shook their heads in perfect unison.
Revan exhaled, clearly worried, but didn’t press the issue further.
Meanwhile, Gara tried to look relaxed.
’Sorry, Revan. It’s because I didn’t let your grandfather contact anyone while he’s inside my dimensional space. Not my fault he got so excited about experimenting there. And not my fault my control over my space is strong enough to block all outside connections whenever I want.’
The conversation shifted to a lighter topic, plans for the upcoming semester break.
"I was hoping to train with my grandfather," Revan said, "but that’s definitely canceled. What about you guys?"
Before Jett could answer, Gara cut in, "Maybe your grandfather’s project will be finished soon?"
"No way," Revan shook his head. "Once he’s focused on a project, it can take years. But even then, he’s always reachable through his crystal ring."
’Years? Don’t tell me he’s planning to live inside the my space for years...’ Gara’s heart skipped a beat at the thought.
As they continued sharing their vacation plans, Miki returned with Pere. And Langga followed right behind.
For the first time, Gara wasn’t the last one to be called for counseling, though he was still the second to last.
At the front podium, Langga gave his final remarks before the semester break.
"Today marks the end of your first semester. But remember, this is just the beginning, only an introduction. Your journey in this academy is still far from over."
"You’ve survived two Class S Duels so far, but keep training. The moment you grow complacent, someone else can take your spot."
"Lastly, enjoy your break. And see you again in the second month of next year."
He ended his speech with a firm clap, prompting the rest of the class to join in a cheerful round of applause.
Of course, Gara clapped only half-heartedly.
Langga noticed and for a brief moment, it seemed like he didn’t want to leave the classroom. But staying there in silence would’ve been far too awkward, so he finally turned and headed for the door.
Once Langga was gone, the Class S students began to disperse. Most were heading toward the club tower for one final meeting before the break.
Gara was among them.
"Long time no see, Gara," Selena greeted warmly as he arrived.
After their first meeting, Selena had never shown up at the academy again, let alone attended any Herbal Club meetings. She didn’t even appear in the Class S Duel.
Then again, no one dared to challenge her anyway.
"I tried asking some contacts from the place where I did my last mission for Starberry," Selena said, "but theirs are all out of stock."
Gara’s expression fell, disappointed that he might fail to get the rare seed. But Selena quickly continued, "However, when I told one of my friend you were the one looking for it, he said he’d ask his uncle to help. But on one condition."
Gara’s eyes brightened, but then his expression tensed again. He was nervous about what kind of condition it might be.
"He asked for Lumora Soda powder," Selena explained. "He really loves the drink but can’t travel to the capital or other cities that sell it very often."
Gara sighed in relief. That wasn’t a difficult request at all.
"All right," he said. "I’ll pack ten servings of Lumora Soda for him. But tell him, the taste won’t be quite the same if he doesn’t add ice."
"Ten servings?!" Clara, standing beside Gara, flinched in surprise. Selena also looked startled, though she managed to keep her composure.
Gara only smiled knowingly. He knew how popular Lumora Soda was, and how people who came late to Alrova Drink Shop often went home disappointed.
Ten servings was generous, intentionally so.
If that person truly had connections to obtain a rare seed, then building a good relationship was more than worth it.
"Got it. I’ll pass on your message," Selena nodded.
Their conversation ended there as the meeting began.
The purpose of today’s meeting was simply to check each year’s project progress. Gara’s year was still in the stage of deciding on a theme.
Clara, representing the first years, started speaking.
"We’ve made several theme proposals," she said, "such as discovering new uses for plants often labeled as pests, and then—"
Gara listened quietly from his seat.
To be honest, he felt a bit uneasy. Just before the meeting started, Clara had called Lio over to sit beside her.
And now that Clara was seated in front, Gara ended up next to the druid boy.
’He’s not dangerous or anything,’ Gara thought, ’but I just feel uncomfortable.’
He tried to focus on Clara’s presentation. The first idea she mentioned had actually come from him.
Originally, Gara wanted to propose One-Night Flower as their class project theme. But after what happened with Langga, he didn’t even want to look at that flower again.
At the front, Clara concluded her explanation.
"During this break, we plan to explore the plants around our area to finalize our theme. That’s all from the first years."
After her, the second and third years presented their progress. The third years were nearly done, which made sense. Next semester would be their last.
When the meeting ended, students began saying their goodbyes.
But Selena suddenly approached Gara, her face filled with urgency.
"Is it true? Sir Rucian did that to you?" she asked, gripping Gara’s shoulder.
