(BL)Alpha Made-Chapter 571: Side story 1
Andrew didn’t think that Maxwell could get any cuter.
He was wrong.
He had not accounted for the man waddling around, swollen with his children, trying to get from place to place without bothering Andrew. By continuing to be his independent husband, all while wearing Andrew’s clothes because the scent of his mate made his morning sickness non existent.
It was a strange phenomenon. Something that didn’t happen often, but sometimes, the pheromones of their mates made the morning sickness fade entirely. It was something so terribly cute and lovely that Andrew had a hard time standing it. Especially since Maxwell was so small so Andrew had to roll up his pant legs so many times just so that Maxwell didn’t trip.
No one said a damn word about how Maxwell dressed when he went to work. The whole company was sworn to secrecy and loyalty to the man that they never made a comment about ’Maxwell’s’ oversized suits and shirts, or the oversized sweaters that they had seen Andrew wear on many occasions.
Even the clients that would normally tease Maxwell or try to get into his pants were on their best behaviour? Why?
Because Maxwell only had a soft spot for Andrew, and that was about it.
He had gotten harsher, rougher, a little meaner, but he was still mostly in control of his emotions. It was only with Andrew that he let the vulnerabilities show, and on occasion, with his Mom. His pregnancy was going well. He was a male omega pregnant with twins, and yet he was as healthy as a horse.
Andrew was sure it was because his morning sickness was only occasional, and because Andrew was making sure that Maxwell’s health was first and foremost. That meant he was eating hearty meals, taking his vitamins, and getting everything that he could possibly need.
Andrew, at one point, worried that Maxwell was going to get frustrated with the level of care that Andrew was giving him, but Maxwell assured the man that if he didn’t give Maxwell as much care as he was getting, Maxwell would strangle him.
Maxwell was happy to be pregnant, but he hadn’t realised the limits it would put on his body. He needed Andrew’s help for a lot of things, and it was embarrassing to Maxwell to have to ask for it sometimes. He hadn’t been easily embarrassed before, but the hormones in his body made him more scared, more doubtful, and more weepy. He tried to keep the last one from his employees, but Andrew knew that wasn’t completely working out.
Maxwell had gone for a tour of the daycare recently and had to go lock himself in the bathroom and call Andrew because a little boy and Hewie had been holding hands and it had made him cry like a baby.
Again, no one spoke of Maxwell’s red eyes, and no one made fun of the CEO gone pregnant omega. He was still good at his job, even if he moved a little slower, and if anything, he made himself more endearing to the rest of his staff. He was making sure that the company was well taken care of while he was gone for the few months he was allowing himself to take off for paternity leave.
Maxwell had spoken to his father already, and the man was ready to step in while Maxwell was gone. He had been shadowing Maxwell, since while his father had been helping before, he hadn’t been Maxwell in his entirety before. Maxwell wanted the company to run perfectly while he was gone so that he would be able to step back in like nothing had happened.
Andrew wasn’t sure if that was completely logical, since Andrew wasn’t sure if Maxwell was going to get any of the side effects of pregnancy afterwards, but Andrew would support him through anything.
Andrew particularly liked the support he was able to give him now. One of Andrew’s favourite moments was when they got to sit on the couch at the end of the night, Maxwell in between Andrew’s thighs and Andrew would lift Maxwell’s belly for him, relieving some of the tension and weight on his back and hips while Maxwell moaned in pleasure.
It was one of his favourite things since he got to feel his children, and help his mate. It was a simple moment, but one that he knew that Maxwell appreciated greatly.
Beyond that, preparations for the nursery were going well. Because they were having two children right away, that meant double pretty much everything. Except the nursery itself. That was something that Andrew had put his foot down on. They were children, would be for a while. They would not need their own rooms for a while, and that was okay with Andrew.
Maxwell had got into a crying fit over it, saying that Andrew didn’t understand where Maxwell was coming from. It had been so unlike him, but Andrew had supported him through the moment, caring for him like Andrew said he would, and giving the man the cuddles and comfort that he needed to be able to fully voice his concerns, and Andrew was able to soothe him further.
Over all, Andrew was greatly enjoying Maxwell’s pregnancy, even if he felt like he was a damn tiger protecting his pregnant mate. He never let it be known outside of voicing it at the beginning, but Andrew had a hard time letting Maxwell go to work on his ’own’. He knew that he wasn’t alone, but Andrew wanted to be by his side the whole day.
It was taking a lot out of him to let him go to work without him, only dropping him off, picking him up and occasionally spending lunch with him.
Kim was giving him pep talks about it when he told her about it, and so was Rose, surprisingly. Ben didn’t see the problem, since Amir was a homebody and didn’t leave Ben’s sight when he didn’t have to. Rose, however, had Jordan as a mate and while Jordan was a ’homebody’, he was an artist who worked with semi-dangerous mediums.
He didn’t limit himself to just painting and sculpting with clay. Jordan also made glass sculptures, and that was not an easy thing to do. Rose had had a hard time leaving the man alone in his studio to work with hot glass and many other mediums.
Rose told Andrew that he was doing a very good job with how he was handling everything, and Kim echoed her words. It was nice to hear it from the two alphas, especially Rose given that Andrew was worried that he might have a similar reaction to her when it came to Maxwell if any danger came to him during the birth.
One thing that would be different is that with male omegas, they often went for a C-section earlier because twins put a lot of pressure on male omegas compared to females or female omegas. They would probably go in for the C-section around week 35. They wanted to wait a little bit more, but going in for observation around that time was comforting to both Maxwell and Andrew.
A lighter, less heavy moment was the negotiations that Andrew and Maxwell had been doing almost every night over baby names. Andrew had a few that he really liked, and so did Maxwell. It was just that they had no idea what combination was best, and what would work for their children.
There was a reason for this confusion, and that was because Maxwell did not want to know the gender of their children.
This all stemmed from a conversation that Maxwell had had with Amir and Ellis early on. Ellis hadn’t wanted to know the gender of his child, nor had Amir. The only family who had wanted to know the gender of their child who had recently had a kid was Rose and Jordan, but they had kept it to themselves.
Maria had also learned what the gender of her children were, but that was because she had liked hosting the gender reveal parties. Maxwell didn’t want those kinds of parties, and neither had Amir. Ellis just wanted a healthy baby, he hadn’t cared about the gender.
For Maxwell, he just wasn’t sure. And the longer time went on, the more he was just getting comfortable with his chats with Andrew at the end of the night. Their arguments over whose name would be the first name and whose would be the middle name.
Andrew, who did want to know the genders of their future kids, respected Maxwell’s wishes. After all, he was going to find out the answer sooner rather than later. Finding out the gender of their children early was a privilege, and Maxwell didn’t want to participate in it.
All Andrew truly cared about was whether their children were healthy, and the weekly checkups let Andrew know that they were.
There was one thing that Maxwell was rather frustrated with, and that was that Andrew would not fuck him.
That didn’t mean that Andrew didn’t touch him, because there was no way that Andrew would be able to keep his hands to himself around his pregnant, more plump husband. He just wouldn’t do anything that could potentially harm him or the children that he carried. And whether he liked it or not, Andrew was even more well endowed then he was before he became a true alpha.
Now? Now he felt like his penis was a damn weapon.
He had spoken to Maxwell’s Doctor about it, with Maxwell around because Maxwell was pouty about it, but the Doctor had sided with Andrew on this issue. Andrew was above average for a true alpha and he had a right to be concerned that he could harm the children in Maxwell’s belly.
Maxwell had pouted for days after hearing that, so Andrew just had to get creative to make him happy.
They did a lot of sliding against each other, rubbing against each other to find release and Andrew spent a lot of time loving his husband and touching him in ways that made Maxwell’s toes curl and he forgot all about having Andrew inside of him. At least, Andrew hoped so.
That seemed to scratch the itch, and Andrew never turned the man away when he came to him and asked for intimacy. Andrew also asked for intimacy so that the man didn’t feel undesirable.
Andrew remembered when Maxwell cried the first time he found a stretch mark. It had taken over 20 minutes of petting and soft words to calm the man down. It was so damn cute that Andrew only found himself falling even more in love with the man as time went on.
The sniffing, soft Maxwell, rounded with his children only made Andrew melt completely. Anything Maxwell would need, Andrew would get. If he couldn’t make it, he’d hop in the car and go grab it. If Maxwell called him at work with a craving, Andrew was there shortly after, craving in hand and he would walk into board meetings just to hand it to his pregnant husband.
Andrew didn’t care what people would say about him. He was a devoted husband who loved his husband and wanted to make him happy. If the people in the meeting thought he was whipped, so be it. He was. And he was happy to brag about it.
