Keng sighed and appeared at Olivia's side, grabbing her as she went unconscious. She had pushed her limit once with Lee Seng, so he had more than an idea of what was happening to her. He moved and set her down where he was resting and lifted his right hand.

"Heal." Keng whispered in Fox tongue. He watched as a silver light surrounded her and then pulled away, letting it do the rest of the work.

"Please!" Manny cried. "Please!"

"She's unconscious." Keng told them. The strange feeling lifted, and everyone dropped except for Manny. Evan, Liz and Ritsuka let out heavy breaths as Manny pleaded for his life. Keng moved over and watched the leader of the group cry.

"I really can't tell you! I would but I can't! Please!" Manny shouted. Keng reached down and grabbed Manny by the shoulders and pulled him out like a carrot. The dirt spilled all over as Keng moved Manny to a safe spot and set him down. Manny scooted as far away from Olivia and the hole as he continued to plead for his life.

Keng scanned the group. They were all in different levels of distress with Manny being the highest. Liz looked at Olivia as the lightning ball lit up the area just enough for her to see. Keng snapped his fingers and summoned balls of light. His snap drew everyone's attention, hushing all of them in an instant.

"You guys should rest and not be at each other's throats." Keng told them. "It's bad enough you had to find out about Lee Seng and I's secret in a place like this but fighting amongst each other isn't going to solve anything. Rest up for now and don't do anything stupid."

Keng stood up and turned towards the direction the group had fell from. He started to walk as Liz spoke up.

"Where are you going…?" Liz asked in a quiet voice. She was trembling in fear. Olivia had certainly done something to all of them and it was clearly new to all of them, especially her. "Y-you're gonna leave us like this? W-what if… What if…"

"Nothing will happen." Keng reassured her. He crouched down and pulled a silver light to her. "The clouds won't escape, and they won't fight." Liz took the light into her hands and looked at it and Keng a couple of times. Keng smiled at her and stood up, looking back.

"Call me if you need me." Keng told Ritsuka. Ritsuka looked up and nodded as a silver mark appeared in between Ritsuka, Evan, Liz and Manny. Keng ran into the darkness leaving the small lit area full of lights and Lee Seng's teammates.

It was quiet between the group for a while. Keng had long disappeared even though the hole they fell from was only, maybe, a hundred feet. Liz pulled the light close to her chest and let out a sigh of relief. The light had a strange calming effect. She closed her eyes and brushed her hair to one side and rested her head against the wall.

Evan and Ritsuka rested on the floor, feet pointed at each other while Manny quietly sobbed. It had been a while since Manny had felt this way. He jumped into a panic attack without realizing it and now he was a bit afraid of the unconscious Olivia. He gave quick glances to her and noticed the silver light pulsing.

'What's that?' Manny wondered. 'Can he heal?' He could barely see what was happening with Olivia and frankly didn't want to get close to the girl. The young almost adult women in this group were terrifying to him. 'Th-that's why I kept Liz as a friend… She'd kill me a million times over if we ever dated.' He shuddered, wiping his tears away as he gave into the quiet.

Manny closed his eyes and rested his head on the wall. Everything that happened up to this point had tired him out. He was exhausted. Exhausted about the secrets he had to keep. Exhausted about the history. Exhausted that his team was crumbling apart.

'If Lee Seng were here, he'd keep us together.' Manny thought. He let out a sigh as his tiredness pulled him into a sleeping state.

Keng stared at the caved in room. Rocks had spilt into the tunnel he and the others were in.

'We're so lucky.' Keng thought. He lingered in his spot for a while. He could hear nothing but the occasional rocks spilling and filling the space ahead of him. 'Where are you, Lee Seng?' The pain in his heart grew. He grabbed his chest and let out a sigh. 'They need you more than you think you do.'

Keng wandered back to a sleeping team. He had opted out for using the Mark as it was silent. He found Olivia was healed enough to stop the problem, not solve it. He wasn't well-versed in this sort of thing even though he had an exceptional ability for it.

Things were different now that the hidden Ability [Joker] was gone. He could only do so much. Keng was suited for recon and fighting now. He'd have to rely on a team to do the rest of the work where he lacked in.

Kekng knelt beside Olivia and checked her breathing. 'She's fine.' Keng stood up and turned to look at Liz. She had fallen asleep on her side with the light near her. Keng had understood so little about his light powers, but one of them was it had a warming effect to put those at ease. His eyes scanned Manny, Evan and Ritsuka. They were all asleep.

'The lights did their jobs.' Keng thought. He wandered to an open spot near the wall and laid down. He kept his close for a while, not trying to give into rest. His mind was too worried about the others to sleep.

Keng awoke a bit later to the quiet noises of quiet breaths and the occasional snore. He rubbed his eyes and sat up.

'I told myself I wouldn't sleep but here I am…' Keng sighed. He looked around and noticed everything was still the same. They were all sleeping, and it was still pitch black. He lifted his arm and looked at the watch strapped on it. 'Almost two hours went by just like that…' He rubbed his eyes and turned his body.

Ritsuka woke up next. He rose, looking around and noticing how quiet it was. He turned to check where everyone was and noticed they were all sleeping except for Keng. Keng had a book in his hands and was reading it when Ritsuka got up and moved over.

"You're up?" Ritsuka asked sitting down next to him. "What're you reading?" 𝘧𝗿ee𝚠𝙚𝙗𝑛o𝚟𝐞l.𝐜૦𝗺

"Curses." Keng replied. "You don't want to rest more? Energy restoration takes a while, right?"

"I'll be fine. I didn't use a lot of my DM." Ritsuka's eyes wandered to Olivia. "Is she fine?"

"I dunno. I couldn't really heal her that well. Manny will have to look at her at some point."

"I doubt that's going to happen." Ritsuka looked at Manny. "He seemed fearful of his life earlier. Even then, he continued to say he couldn't tell us the truth."

"Cause he probably can't." Keng closed the book. The white rune glowed on Keng's hand as he stuffed the book back into the storage and turned his attention to Manny. "Someone powerful must've swore him to not say anything."

"I think threatened is the word." Ritsuka corrected Keng. Keng nodded. He lifted his hands up and created to L's and moved his right hand and flipped the backwards L on top of his left L. He looked at Manny and let out a breath.

"Who would've thought." Keng whispered.

"What?" Ritsuka looked at Keng. Keng pulled away a bit and turned his connected hands towards Ritsuka.

"Someone wrote in the book that putting energy together like this could give you a glimpse into checking one's psyche." 𝑓𝓇𝑒𝑒𝚠e𝘣𝓷𝘰ѵe𝑙.com

"And?"

"You're good." Keng turned and looked at Liz. "She's good." He turned to Olivia and noticed how split everything was. "She isn't… I guess her Negative really impacts her mentally." His hands fell to his side as he looked at Keng.

'And Manny's mind is trapped with runes.' Keng thought.

"It's bad?" Ritsuka asked. Keng nodded. "What do we do? Wake Manny up and let him check her?"

"It'd be the safest way. You guys have healing potions? Maybe it'll help."

"They heal physical wounds. I remember Olivia saying the health potions wouldn't help the Negative. Wait, there is something that helps with Negatives… Let me see…" Ritsuka dug in his pocket and pulled out a card.

"What's that?" Keng pointed.

"Insta-flash cards. That's how we store items." Ritsuka shuffled through the items before landing on a blue potion. "This'll help." Keng watched as the card was replaced by a blue-hue potion. It swished around like any other liquid drink.

"We can give her and the others this if they're low. This'll give some energy back and stave off most of the pain. Let's give some to her."
