Lee Seng ate enough to satiate the annoying hunger pangs. When he got up, people ushered him into another room. He was stripped, cleaned, and fitted. He stared at himself in the mirror. He was in winter gear. His platinum hair was gone and left with black hair. The servants had trimmed everything well. Even his private junk and armpit hair were to his liking. He wanted to be embarrassed about it, but Cain's cold demeanor both confused him and scared him.

'What did he do to me?' Lee Seng wondered. The door opened and a male butler stepped into the room. He gave Lee Seng a bow as Lee Seng turned to face him.

"The Lord wants you to leave now." The butler informed him. "Your needs have been fully taken care of. He wants you gone." Lee Seng nodded and started over to the butler. The butler turned and opened the door. He lead him through the halls until he eventually stopped at a plain looking door. "In here, you'll fine all you need. The master has always told me to say this. 'Keep you head down for awhile. Your city is in a shit storm of a problem now that you've been gone for almost two whole months. Don't do anything crazy.'"

"That's all he said?" Lee Seng asked.

"Yes, that's all he said." The butler bowed and left Lee Seng on his own. He let out a sigh and grabbed the door and opened it. It was a small closet filled with random things in it. He closed the door and watched the room light up, shifting and changing. The items in the closet changed with it. Clothes he would wear, a wallet with his driver's license and student ID as well as a wad load of physical creds.

Lee Seng grabbed the wallet, plucked a jacket and put it on. He felt something in the pocket and pulled it out. It was a new phone. March 30th. He checked the contents and noticed nothing out of the ordinary about it. It didn't have any of his stuff on it. He slipped it into his pocket and grabbed the door handle. A sticky note fell in front of him.

He backed up and leaned down to grab it.

I've done you a great favor in subduing your demon for a bit. I don't know when he'll wake up, but you're on your own for that. - Cain

'Thanks, I guess?' Lee Seng shrugged. He crumbled the note and opened the door. He stepped out into a plain looking room. It was a studio room filled with all the necessary things he could ever want. A kitchen area filled with food and cooking utensils to cook the food with. An entertainment area with a large TV, a desk and a holographic computer. Books and books on shelves and a toilet and shower.

"This is where I'm staying for the time being?" Lee Seng whispered. He moved to one of the windows and pulled the shade away. It was a frozen sight. "Still winter?" He moved the shade back into place as his phone rang. "Who's calling me?" He grabbed the phone and noticed the unknown number. He thought about not answering but decided he would do it anyways.

"Hello?" Lee Seng answered the phone. It was quiet. "Hello?" Silence went on for a bit longer before someone cleared their throat on the other end.

"Will let the beast out?" The hoarse voice asked.

"What do you mean? Are you someone I know?"

"Will you let it overtake you? Will you kill it? What will you do with the beast?"

"What do you mean? Who are you? Do you know—"

"You don't have much time. So figure it out." The hoarse voice's last words echoed in his head. Lee Seng's vision blurred as he dropped onto the floor. A door opened and a pair of legs stepped through. Lee Seng couldn't see who it was, but it came for him. A hand reached down and grabbed the phone before keeping themselves squatted.

"Will you let the beast consume you, Lee Seng Chang? I'm excited to know."

"Welcome to the base." Chrono motioned at a small building in the middle of the city. It was nice, but amongst the tall buildings, Keng had his doubts they were actually all in here. "Come on. Let's go inside. It's cold as balls." Keng and Calis followed Fennec and the others in. Chrono stayed besides them as they entered.

They entered into a reception area where a woman was sitting behind the counter. She noticed the group and smiled and greeted them.

"Hello. I see you're back." The woman smiled, standing. She looked at Keng and then to Calis. "Had a good trip? Hope the temperature difference isn't too harsh on you."

"No, not at all." Calis answered. "Feels like the North all over again."

"Mmm, sure is." The woman nodded.

"Are they in?" Fennec asked the woman.

"Yes, they are. They're in B4R-432." The woman replied.

"Thanks."

Fennec led the group to the elevator and hit the button. The doors opened and he ushered them all inside. Keng tried to separate himself from Calis, but Calis simply moved to stand next to him. He had suddenly started this ever since they teleported out of Pea'ir. Calis was to keep a close eye on Keng and it wasn't making things… Easier for him.

Fennec let out a charge of energy into the system. The elevator registered it and a set of hidden buttons appeared. He hit B4 and stood still as the elevator descended.

"Who are we meeting with?" Keng asked.

"Probably General Halys and some others you will recognize. The others are out doing their jobs." Chrono answered. The elevator dinged and the doors opened. They poured out as Fennec turned right. They followed the bland hallway with long strips of lights going down the middle. Fennec stopped and turned, ushering them through the door.

Valen entered first and immediately smiled and greeted the people in the room.

"Hello, everyone. We're back!" Valen announced. Keng stepped into the room. It was a business room with holographic screen on the opposite wall. Calis moved in and stood next to Keng as Fennec squeezed through.

"Our guests are here." Halys stood up from his chair. He walked over with a Ysa and a couple of other Foxes Keng had briefly introduced himself to before. "It's good to see you, Keng." They shook hands as Halys turned his attention to the Merman. "Calis Jurdiya, a pleasure to meet you. I'm General Halys. Your father and I worked together a handful of times."

"Pleasure to meet you, General." Calis greeted with a handshake.

"I hope the cold won't bother both of you. You must be coming from wonderful temperatures to desolate freezing hell." Halys chuckled, stepping backwards to look at both of them.

"It's an obvious shift, but I think I can handle it, sir." Calis replied. Keng, on the other hand, shook in the cold. He didn't like it one bit.

"Drink some tea, it'll warm you right up." Halys motioned to the table.

"Come on, let's sit." Chrono ushered the two young men to their seats. Keng pulled his backpack out and planted it next to him as he sat. Tea was made for them and set in front of them as the others settled in. Keng took this opportunity to drink the tea. It was Halys's concoctions and a welcome to him. He took a few sips and set the drink down. He could feel his body warming as the holographic screen went into sleep mode.

"Before we get into business, how are you both?" Halys asked. Keng turned to look at Halys, inadvertently catching Calis's stare.

"You can go first. You must miss them." Calis whispered at him. Keng forced an annoying smile and nodded.

"I'm doing fine. The nightmares plague me every night, but my I've learned a lot." Keng started.

"You trained with Elder Jyu'so and Sir Gorrum, correct?" Ysa asked. "How was that? I hear Sir Gorrum is a masterful swordsman with the Scimitars of Asura."

"It's good, I guess." Keng shrugged. "He didn't teach me too much about how to wield Hydrosphere, but taught me a lot about Energy Sensing."

"The rumors were true!" Valen excitedly cut in. "That you have a God Weapon!"

"It's no wonder why Sir Gorrum came to train you, himself." Ysa added.

"How was Energy Sense Training?" Halys asked. f𝑟e𝒆𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗oѵ𝐞𝗹.c૦𝑚

"A good experience, overall, I guess." Keng replied. "I have a better understanding of using Sight now. Hearing will always come easier."

"That's good." Halys nodded. "Anything else you would wish to share?"

Keng began to recall all of the things he went through while he was on Daros. The others seemed to be intrigued as they listened. Keng naturally warmed back up to his usual self as jokes were cracked and he laughed along with the rest of the group. Calis listened and watched Keng. The Fox Spirit who was cold to him in the recent day was warm and bubbly.

'I wonder what his Vessel, Lee Seng is like.' Calis thought to himself. He sipped his tea and set it down.
