Billionaire's Unforgettable Ex-Wife-Chapter 895 - 560: Balthazar, the Blind Date Candidate
Paisley Golden busily helped her find a rainbow-striped casual dress to change into.
Ivy Miller thought her mom’s taste was really something else.
Her guest was coming, did she really have to dress up her daughter so flamboyantly?
What was her mom thinking, she really couldn’t figure it out.
After she changed and came out, her dad glanced at her and casually said, "Dazzling."
That’s right, her dad never liked flashy colors.
Just saying it was dazzling was already giving her face.
Paisley Golden rolled her eyes at Russell Miller: "What do you know? This is style. I don’t enjoy chatting with people like you, it’s aggravating.
Ivy, don’t listen to your dad, just wear it, I’ll go cook."
After Paisley Golden went into the kitchen, Ivy Miller asked curiously, "Dad, which guest is coming today? Why is mom being so formal?"
Russell Miller glanced toward the kitchen, "Isn’t it just Henry Sullivan? Who knows what’s gotten into your mom today."
Ivy Miller frowned, her mom was acting quite mysteriously today.
But she didn’t think much of it and pulled Ivy from their father to play together.
"Ivy, Daddy will be here soon, you need to get along well with him, okay?"
"Is Daddy here? Am I sleeping with Daddy tonight?"
Ivy Miller tapped Ivy’s little forehead, "Your dad’s very busy, where would he find the time to sleep with you? After he’s done with his work, he’ll definitely stay with you every day, okay?"
Ivy couldn’t understand what being busy meant, but she nodded innocently like she was the purest soul in the world.
As Ivy Miller was smiling, the doorbell rang, and she got up, "Wait here, mommy will go bring daddy in."
She got up to open the door, and as she walked to the door, she smiled and opened it, expecting Henry Sullivan to be there.
But when she opened the door, she found a man standing there, nearly six feet three inches tall, very slim, with a fair and clean face, wearing black-rimmed glasses, dressed in a well-fitted suit, and holding two gift boxes in each hand.
Seeing Ivy Miller, he smiled, "Hello, you must be Ivy."
Ivy Miller nodded, stunned for a moment before she reacted, "How do you know me?"
The man looked at her blank expression and smiled, "Hello, I’m Balthazar, invited by Professor Lee as a guest."
Ivy Miller was a bit shocked; so, the important guest her mom had been preparing for wasn’t Henry Sullivan, but this man in front of her?
"Oh, uh, hello, my mom didn’t mention this to me; please come in."
Ivy Miller stepped to the side, allowing Balthazar to enter the house. Seeing Russell Miller, he approached politely and greeted, "Hello, uncle, I’m Balthazar. It’s an honor to meet you; I wasn’t sure what you’d like, so I brought some small gifts."
Saying this, he handed over two boxes.
Russell Miller stared at the man for a moment, then, with a stern face, folded his arms: "I’m a soldier, I can’t accept gifts; are you my wife’s guest?"
The man awkwardly smiled, "Yes, this gift isn’t what you think it is."
While he was speaking, the kitchen door opened, and Paisley Golden called out, "Ivy, later my guest will... Oh, Balthazar, you’re here already." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Paisley Golden approached delightedly, patting Balthazar’s arm, and Balthazar handed over the gifts with a tight smile.
Paisley Golden accepted the gifts, "Look at you, just coming is enough, why did you bring gifts?"
Ivy Miller felt that this gentleman in front of her was most likely her mom’s student.
"Just a small token, are you busy making lunch?"
"Yes, I just realized I hadn’t told my daughter your name, and when I came out, you were already here."
As Paisley Golden spoke, she pulled Balthazar over to Russell Miller, "Let me introduce you all. Balthazar, this is my husband, Russell Miller, you can call him Uncle. This is my daughter Ivy Miller, this is my granddaughter, you can call her Ivy."
Balthazar politely nodded to Russell Miller and Ivy Miller before squatting in front of Ivy with a loving expression, "Hello, Ivy."
Ivy reached out and pointed at his face, "Not Daddy, Uncle."
Ivy Miller felt a bit awkward and quickly said, "Of course, it’s Uncle. Hehe, Ivy, come, mom will play with you, let Uncle sit for a bit, don’t cause trouble."
Paisley Golden took Ivy from her and handed her to Russell Miller, "What are you doing just standing there? Help out with the child.
Ivy, you chat with Balthazar for a while, I’ve got two more dishes to finish up."
"Huh?" Ivy Miller hesitated for a moment before nodding, "Alright, you go ahead."
