Billionaire's Unforgettable Ex-Wife-Chapter 42: Tell me your worth, I’ll take care of you
Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Tell me your worth, I’ll take care of you
Xavier looked at him with a strange smile: "Oh, you didn’t attend the last banquet, but you seem pretty well-informed."
"This has already spread around the circle."
There were four people in the private room.
The well-mannered man sitting across from Xavier frowned and said: "So you’re saying Oliver Turner really has something going on with that Faye Townsend? Does Clara know about this?"
Xavier turned his gaze to the man: "Victor, this is just something we’re casually mentioning here today, it has nothing to do with Clara.
Oliver hasn’t planned to tell Clara, so don’t start spreading rumors."
Victor Jude stood up, displeased: "What does Oliver Turner mean by this?
Doesn’t he know how much Clara loves him?"
Old Yang gestured downwards with his hand: "Alright Victor, if you ask me, you should stay out of Clara’s business from now on.
Their affairs, there’s no point for you to get involved.
We all know you like Clara, but Clara isn’t interested in you at all, so why waste your time?"
"Oh, you think you know everything." Victor Jude tossed his handkerchief onto the table and turned to leave.
Sitting by the door, Xavier grabbed his arm: "Buddy, there’s no point in acting like this.
It’s rare for all of us to gather for a meal.
Why let a woman make you act like this?"
Victor Jude said unhappily: "Alright, I’m not in the mood for a meal today either.
The three of you carry on, I’m heading out."
Xavier let go, allowing Victor Jude to leave.
Old Yang shook his head: "These spoiled young masters are something else, in this day and age, where can you find true love, it’s all nonsense."
As Faye Townsend walked out of the restaurant after her meal, a young man in a dark blue striped shirt suddenly jumped in front of her.
The young man blocked her path, his face cold: "Are you Faye Townsend?"
Faye frowned, looking at him: "May I ask who you are..."
"You don’t need to know who I am, just tell me your price, I’ll keep you."
Faye looked the man up and down, thinking he must be out of his mind.
"Why are you looking at me like that?
What, you’re afraid I can’t afford it?
Rest assured, I’m not much poorer than Oliver Turner."
The man mockingly hooked his arm around her, his tone flippant.
Faye turned her head, smiling: "Sir, there’s still medical staff on duty at the psychiatric hospital now.
If you can’t find your way back, you can dial 114 to inquire about your hospital’s number."
The man sneered: "Huh, you don’t think I’m worthy, huh?
Oliver Turner’s money is money, but mine isn’t?
How about a hundred million? From today, you’ll come with me."
As he spoke, the man grabbed Faye’s wrist.
Faye raised her hand and flicked the man’s hand off, yelling: "What are you doing?"
"Was I unclear just now? I want to keep you."
Faye gritted her teeth, thinking how despicable people have become.
Such a seemingly gentlemanly man is actually such a scoundrel.
"First of all, I’m not very familiar with Oliver Turner. If you have a grudge against him, go talk to him.
Secondly, I’m even less familiar with you. I can pretend not to hear your insults, but please don’t touch me, my patience has limits too.
Thirdly, if you mention anything about keeping me again, I will immediately call the police.
So, please show some respect."
The man stepped forward: "Since that’s the case, let me also warn you, Oliver Turner has a girlfriend, you’d better stay away from him."
Faye scrutinized him: "Who exactly are you?"
"A man who can destroy you at any time."
