Billionaire's Unforgettable Ex-Wife-Chapter 26 Are You So Desperate for a Man?
Chapter 26: Chapter 26 Are You So Desperate for a Man?
Hunter Warren gritted his teeth: "Faye Townsend, I know you have a sharp tongue.
No need to show it off again here.
I’m asking you, why do you want to go abroad."
"Second Master Warren, let me remind you of something.
We’re divorced.
You no longer have the right to meddle in my affairs."
"No right?" Hunter forcefully pushed her down onto the sofa, pressing over her.
"Faye, listen to me carefully.
I haven’t signed the divorce papers yet.
So you are still my wife.
Even if I were to take you right here, no one would dare say a word."
"Haven’t you heard the rumors?
I’m Oliver Turner’s woman now.
If you don’t mind me being dirty, my body welcomes your use."
Hunter’s anger was completely sparked, he raised his palm to slap Faye.
Faye stared at him with wide eyes, showing no intention of dodging.
But Hunter’s hand stopped just half an inch from her face.
Faye sneered: "Why not hit me? After all, it’s not the first time."
Hunter gritted his teeth, indeed, this was the only woman who could easily enrage him.
"That time was an accident."
"The outcome is the same."
"Fine, I won’t argue with you, I’m asking you, are you that needy for a man?"
"Yes, for an abandoned woman who was neglected by her husband for a year after marriage.
The hormones in my body desperately need balancing."
Hunter stood up: "Why do you have to degrade yourself like this.
I offered you money and you didn’t want it, but you went to beg Oliver Turner, is that it?
You have no sense of self-love."
"If being by his side is called having no self-love, then tell me, what was those eight years of loving you? Willful degradation?"
"I told you, I could help you.
But you, you’d rather beg Oliver Turner than come to me for help.
What is that supposed to mean, are you slapping me in the face?"
Faye laughed: "I am well aware, as a faded ex-wife I am of no appeal to you, and have no right to negotiate.
So, you’re right, I would rather jump into Oliver Turner’s bed than ask you for anything.
Hunter Warren, there should be limits to hurting others.
You already... crossed my line.
So now, even if I were to die, I wouldn’t ask you for anything ever again.
This is reality.
I don’t want to waste any more words with you.
If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving now."
After speaking, she walked toward the door.
Hunter quickly stepped forward to block the door.
"I’m not finished speaking, who gave you permission to leave.
I’m asking you, what does this ring mean."
He took the ring out from his shirt pocket and handed it to her.
"You actually dared to return it to me.
Don’t you know what it signifies?"
"Precisely because I know, I want to give it back.
Or do you want your ex-wife, who has nothing to do with you, to continue holding this ring?"
Faye’s cold gaze didn’t even spare the ring a glance.
But in her mind, she recalled the scene a year and a half ago, during Hunter’s grandmother’s final moments.
It was a night just like this, a Warren family servant called her urgently to say the grandmother was critically ill.
She sped all the way to the Warren’s old mansion.
Back then, the grandmother was already somewhat incoherent.
When Hunter said, ’Faye is here,’ the old lady slightly opened her eyes to look at her.
In a voice barely audible to anyone, she said, "Faye, come closer."
When she leaned over, the grandmother took off the ring from her hand and handed it to Hunter.
