Billionaire's Unforgettable Ex-Wife-Chapter 171 - 140 Please Spare Me for the Sake of Sebastian Sheldon
Chapter 171: Chapter 140 Please Spare Me for the Sake of Sebastian Sheldon
Faye Townsend just gave a wry smile; she had forgotten how advanced the plastic surgery industry had become.
Since she was Olivia Lynd, it was understandable why she held such a strong hostility towards Faye.
Olivia was a year below her in high school.
Faye had excellent grades, while Olivia was a complete mess academically.
Olivia was notorious at school; in today’s terms, she was like a little troublemaker, leading a group of girls to cause chaos.
Because her family had money and sponsored their high school, the principal wouldn’t easily cross her.
Yet, amidst all the ruckus, she eventually went too far.
Of all people, she provoked Faye Townsend.
She set her sights on Matthew, a senior and Faye’s classmate.
She asked Matthew out several times, but he always refused her advances.
In desperation, she had some of her little gang abduct Matthew.
Back then, Matthew was a model student, and the school knew of Olivia’s antics.
But no one dared to intervene.
However, Matthew was clever. When Olivia tried to coerce him, he told her he had someone he liked—Faye Townsend.
"If Faye agrees to be with me, then I’ll consider you."
Just like that, Faye was caught in the crossfire in Olivia’s drama for the first time.
She remembered it clearly; that day, when she was in class, Olivia charged in with four other girls.
She pointed at the female chemistry teacher at the podium and said, "This class is over, you can leave."
The chemistry teacher was a bit scared but felt losing face in front of so many students wasn’t right.
So, she bravely said, "Olivia, there’s still nine minutes until class ends.
Whatever it is, come back in nine minutes."
"Damn, do you still want to work here or not?" Olivia glared at the teacher, "If not, just say it."
The chemistry teacher immediately dared not speak further.
It was well-known that teaching jobs were quite desirable.
Olivia shot a sideways glance at the teacher, then scanned the classroom.
Then, she strutted up to Faye, kicking her desk lightly.
"Hey, listen, Matthew is mine. Stay away from him."
The whole class initially thought she was there for Matthew.
Nobody expected her to go up to Faye.
Faye put down her pen, leaned back in her seat, and looked up at Olivia, tapping her right index finger rhythmically on her arm.
"My desk was just the way it was; put it back. You’ve got ten seconds."
"Damn, Faye, you’re something, aren’t you? Not even the emperor could do anything to me."
"Is that so?" Faye rose leisurely. "Fine, since even the emperor can’t handle you, I will."
She raised her hand and slapped Olivia.
Olivia, not expecting Faye to hit her, was stunned for a moment.
Then she shouted, "You dare hit me? What are you all standing around for? Get her."
"Tsk," Faye sneered at her, "Think you can handle me one-on-one? Don’t bother intimidating with numbers.
You all listen; anyone who lays a finger on me today, I’ll ensure not only will you be expelled, but your parents will also lose their jobs.
Even the Lynd Corporation wouldn’t dare keep you.
If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try.
I, Faye Townsend, am not someone you hooligans can touch on a whim."
Olivia sneered, "Fine, one-on-one it is. Don’t regret it."
She rolled up her sleeves and charged at Faye.
Soon after, the classroom echoed with piercing cries.
Of course, those cries weren’t from Faye.
By the time the chemistry teacher brought the principal, the fight was almost over.
Faye didn’t have a scratch, but Olivia looked miserable, with scratches on her face, disheveled hair, and bruises on her legs.
She was like she had just been through a train wreck.
Seeing Faye getting the upper hand, the principal and the chemistry teacher took a couple of steps back.
If it had been an ordinary student hitting Olivia, the principal would’ve intervened immediately, given her family’s influence.
But knowing that Faye was the heiress of the Townsend Corporation, the principal felt emboldened.
It wasn’t until Olivia was severely beaten that the principal moved in to pull her away, while the chemistry teacher grabbed Faye.
Still unwilling, Olivia pointed at Faye, "Don’t think you’re so great; I won’t let you off."
"Bring it on, and get an early childhood education tutor while you’re at it; you need a lesson in respecting teachers.
If you want Matthew, show some capability. Someone as ugly as you should stay low; even street dogs wouldn’t look at you.
And you clowns, what are you waiting for? Take this trash out of my sight."
As soon as Faye finished speaking, applause erupted from somewhere in the classroom.
Those girls quickly went up and took the injured Olivia away.
And ever since then, Olivia seemed intent on clashing with her, often causing trouble.
Eventually, Faye was fed up. In her senior year, she had to focus on her studies.
So, she approached Old Man Forrest from Skyward Group.
Everyone knew the majority of Lynd Corporation’s partnerships came from Skyward Group.
With Old Man Forrest’s involvement, Lynd’s president had Olivia transferred the next day.
From then on, Faye never saw Olivia again.
Though she had heard, Olivia had gone abroad.
Curious, she wondered why Victor Jude would be with this spoiled girl.
"Hey," Olivia glanced at her coldly, "I’ve heard you’re unrestrained, and now I see it’s true. I’m talking to you, so why are you looking at my husband?"
Husband? Faye was truly shocked. Wasn’t Victor supposed to be head over heels for Clara? How did he end up marrying this tigress?
No wonder Clara always changed the subject when Faye mentioned Victor.
"A whore is a whore; can’t control herself wherever she goes, huh?
Do you want to borrow my husband for a bit?
But with your cheap looks, even his strength won’t satisfy you."
"Enough. Nobody will think you’re mute if you shut up." Victor turned and reprimanded Olivia.
Faye remained silent throughout, simply tilting her head with a graceful smirk.
"Oh, feeling heartache, huh? Looks like you two knew each other. Were you in cahoots before? I really underestimated you, Victor, didn’t I?"
Faye took a cocktail from a bystander and unhesitatingly splashed it onto Olivia’s chest.
Olivia’s light-green evening gown immediately looked like it was drenched in ink.
"Damn, Faye, what are you doing?"
Faye pointed at her own clothes, "Now we’re even. You two can leave."
"I heard your husband dumped you; what are you so proud of?
A wilted flower, what right do you have to flaunt in front of me?" Olivia stepped forward, but at that moment, Hunter Warren, who had been in a corner discussing business, intervened, grabbing her wrist.
Olivia turned to look at Hunter, surprised, "Second Master?"
Apparently, she and Victor didn’t know Faye was attending the banquet as Hunter’s date.
Faye folded her arms, watching Hunter’s eyes. She thought... now this was going to be interesting.
As expected, Hunter wouldn’t show any leniency. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
He casually pushed Olivia back, causing her to stumble before regaining her footing.
Hunter silently approached, gazing coldly at Olivia, "What did you just say about Faye? Say it again."
"I..." Olivia swallowed nervously, "I wasn’t wrong. It’s rumored she’s a wilted flower.
You didn’t want her, so she turned to Director Turner.
Everyone says she’s entangled with many men: not just Director Turner, but also the Forrest Group’s eldest son."
Behind him, Faye chuckled; truly daring.
Hunter raised an eyebrow, "Is that so? How come I didn’t know my wife was involved in such gossip?
You’d better tell me where these slanders are coming from.
Otherwise... I’ll regard them as your nonsense.
When did you get the right to randomly demean my wife?"
"Wife? I thought you two... had divorced?"
Hunter sneered, "You can go check our marriage status yourself at the marriage registry.
Just because six years ago, some journalists recklessly speculated about my divorce, I’m supposed to follow their assumptions?
In front of so many people now, you’d better give me a reasonable explanation; otherwise... to me, the Lynd Corporation is dispensable."
Hunter smirked and stepped back, wrapping an arm around Faye’s waist.
Olivia felt a surge of panic; in her confusion, she suddenly pleaded, "Second Master, I’m sorry, I didn’t know the truth. I won’t speak carelessly again.
I’m friends with Sebastian Sheldon; could you spare the Lynd Corporation on his behalf?"
Hearing Sebastian Sheldon’s name sent shivers through Faye.
How could someone like Olivia be friends with Sebastian?
The two seemed utterly unrelated.
Hunter sensed the subtle change in Faye.
He knew what Sebastian meant to her.
Guilt, self-blame... perhaps even fear.
He gave Olivia a cold glance, "Don’t drag others into your mistakes.
I don’t care whose friend you are; anyone who dares harm my loved one won’t be spared. You better be prepared."
