Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 571 - 492: When You Sleep In (Nine Updates)
Danton rubbed his eyes and stood up. "As long as it’s going out to have fun, my body is totally fine."
"Hurry upstairs and before you sleep, apply that box of ointment I gave you to your wound," Yi Luowa said, glancing at Mi Chenxuan, who was still sitting on the sofa. "When you go up, help him a bit, don’t let him fall."
Mi Chenxuan gave her a disgruntled look. "We’ve been living under the same roof for so many years, and you’ve never cared about me like this."
Yi Luowa pulled him up with a smile. "You’re such a grown man, and you’re still getting jealous of a kid!"
"I’m not a kid!" This time it was Danton’s turn to be unhappy with her.
Yi Luowa looked at one, then at the other. "You two can sleep or not, suit yourselves. I’m heading upstairs!"
Danton watched her stomp off upstairs, then turned his head to Mi Chenxuan and said, "Let’s go up too. Sister Luowa did tell you to help me."
"I was even thinking of carrying you up," Mi Chenxuan snorted. "Too bad I used up all my energy looking for you!"
"I didn’t know you were looking for me! If I had, I would’ve come here earlier and waited for you to catch me," Danton said with a smile as he started climbing the stairs. Even though his legs felt like they were filled with lead, he pushed on to the third floor.
Back in her bedroom, Yi Luowa tossed and turned on the bed. The more she thought about it, the more she felt like she was torturing herself!
When Tong Airui was home, she found him annoying and thought he was too demanding. Now that he wasn’t home, she was going mad missing him.
Yi Luowa rolled around in bed until midnight, still unable to fall asleep. If she couldn’t sleep, she wouldn’t force it! Yi Luowa slipped on her slippers and went out, standing outside the nursery waiting for the two kids.
Soon enough, the two little ones actually walked out.
Tong Yao looked at Yi Luowa, who was standing dispiritedly at the door, and shook her head helplessly. "How long have you been standing here?"
"Just came out a little while ago," Yi Luowa said with a smile as she opened the door for her mother-in-law.
After Long Che brought the kids inside, he came back out. "Let these two keep you company during the second half of the night."
"Thanks, Dad!" Yi Luowa’s eyes immediately curved into crescent moons.
Watching her father-in-law head back to his room, Yi Luowa quickly went into the nursery. "Mom, you can go rest now. I’ll keep an eye on them."
"Don’t play with them too late," Tong Yao said, stroking the two little ones’ heads with a smile before turning and leaving the room.
After feeding the two kids, Yi Luowa had the wet nurse take them to her own room. Having the kids around made everything feel different!
Yi Luowa lay on the bed, chatting with the two little ones in "Martian language," and before long, she had completely forgotten about that troublemaker Tong Airui.
The two little ones, thrilled by the new environment and the fact that their mom was keeping them company, showed no signs of sleepiness.
The three of them played until nearly two o’clock. Seeing the children starting to doze off, Yi Luowa finally turned off the lights and went to bed.
The next day, the three of them slept until the sun was high in the sky. By the time they got up, everyone who needed to go to work had already left.
Yan Zi chuckled. "Your dad looked so gloomy this morning when he didn’t see the kids—like a miniature Changbai Mountain on his face."
Yi Luowa grinned sheepishly. "I’ll send my dad a video later."
"Your mom and I will watch the kids—you go have breakfast."
"Thanks, Auntie." Yi Luowa glanced upstairs. "Has Danton gotten up yet?"
"He’s way more energetic than you three. He finished breakfast and already went out."
"He went out by himself?" Yi Luowa asked, a little worried.
"No, his entourage arrived last night but didn’t want to disturb us. They only met with your parents this morning, and Danton left with them."
Yi Luowa felt a sudden emptiness in her heart. The arrival of his entourage probably meant that Danton would be moving back home.
Tong Yao walked out of the kitchen. "Luowa, I made some soup for Danton. Want some?"
"You made soup for him—will he come back?"
"Of course. I made sure to tell him to."
Hearing that Danton would come back, Yi Luowa’s mood instantly brightened. "What kind of soup? If it’s tasty, I’ll have some."
Yan Zi scolded her playfully. "This child, since when has your mom’s soup ever not been good?"
"Hehe... that was a slip of the tongue!" Yi Luowa laughed, heading into the kitchen. She downed two bowls of the soup in one go before stepping out, shouting, "Auntie, you should try some too! My mom’s soup is a culinary masterpiece!"
"If it’s that heavenly, you should drink more. I’ll pass—don’t want your mom fretting over it." Yan Zi shot Tong Yao a teasing look with a laugh.
Tong Yao pouted. "It would break my heart for real if I gave you some."
"Mom, let’s record a little video for Sang Yu and Zi Yan!" Yi Luowa leaned closer enthusiastically.
