Bigshot's Sweetie Is a Cat!-Chapter 755: I’m Not Some Ignorant Little Boy
"Bro, have you been standing there watering the flowers all morning?" Gu Yao couldn’t believe someone could be this bored.
But then again, Gu Sheng didn’t have much else to do.
"No, I was just watching TV," Gu Sheng replied naturally.
Gu Yao didn’t think much of it and followed him into the kitchen to help.
The current Gu Sheng was already adept in the kitchen, cooking up delicious dishes with ease and calm.
Seeing how quickly Gu Sheng’s cooking skills had improved, Gu Yao praised him generously. She had no idea how many ingredients Gu Sheng had bought after she went to school, how many times he had repeated making a single dish, nor how he, like a fool, meticulously noted down the proportions of the ingredients, leading to his progress now.
The most he remembered was within an hour, he had cooked the same dish fifteen times but still wasn’t satisfied with the flavor. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
But for Gu Sheng, all of this was happiness, after all, this was the life he had always dreamed of.
However, the calm and beauty of everything now were ultimately cruelly shattered.
At night, there was a knock on Gu Yao’s room door, and Gu Sheng’s voice came from outside.
"Yaoyao? Are you asleep?"
"...Not yet, what’s up?" Gu Yao, curled up on the bed, responded weakly.
"I made you something to drink, can you get up and open the door?"
Gu Yao initially wanted to refuse but changed her mind: "I didn’t lock it, just come in."
The next moment, Gu Sheng pushed the door open and entered, holding a steaming bowl in his hand.
Gu Sheng came to the bedside, placed the bowl on the nightstand, then reached out to tuck in the quilt for Gu Yao and sat down by the bed.
"Does it hurt a lot? Should I get you some painkillers?" He said, gently brushing away the strands of hair covering Gu Yao’s face.
"How... how do you know..." Gu Yao couldn’t help blushing and hid her face in the quilt.
"I’m not that clueless little boy," Gu Sheng replied.
Seeing Gu Yao shyly amused him.
However, when he saw Gu Yao’s slightly pale face, Gu Sheng was filled with a sense of guilt.
Yaoyao used to be very healthy, even lively during her periods, but two years ago because of that child... her health deteriorated, sometimes her period wouldn’t come on time, being delayed or early by even a week.
But in these two years, he had always been able to tell when her period came every month, but never once could he hand her this bowl of ginger brown sugar water himself, nor show a word of concern.
"No need, I’m fine."
"Then I’ll get you a glass of hot water, the brown sugar water is quite sweet, it’ll help wash it down later." Gu Sheng stood up and went out to fetch the water.
Brown sugar water?
Gu Yao sat up and looked at the bowl of brown sugar water with goji berries and red dates on the bedside, feeling a warmth in her heart.
Thinking of the brown sugar water the servants cooked for her every time during her periods these past two years...
It’s very similar, with the same ingredients.
One, two, three... there were eight red dates in total.
Gu Sheng quickly came back with the water.
Gu Yao took the water and directly asked, "Second brother, was it you who cooked all the brown sugar water I’ve been drinking every month these past two years?"
Her tone was almost certain.
"Yeah," Gu Sheng admitted directly.
He had made them all, even before he learned to cook, he had been to the kitchen.
"Then why didn’t you ever tell me..."
Seeing Gu Sheng’s confirmation, Gu Yao’s nose felt a bit sour.
