Chapter 411: The ‘Blueprint’ Revealed

|That energy... it’s impossible! No one at her level could hold that much without blowing up into pieces!| a Dwarf Supreme cried, their disbelief bordering on fear as they watched cracks of blue cosmic lightning tear through the space around her.

More of them instinctively backed away as the mist of energy distorted the nearby space.

|It’s—wait,| someone muttered, their eyes widening as realisation dawned. |That’s not her energy at all...|

Their gaze slowly shifted to Jamie, who stood still as the mist pouring from Daniella’s body rushed toward him like a tidal wave, instantly vanishing into his hand faster than a vacuum sucking up dust.

His power concealment was broken, revealing his current Quasi-Supreme Realm state to the entire universe, but before anyone could even blink in shock, his power spiked to Lesser Supreme.

"Eh?"

In the time it took one Dwarf to say that, Jamie had reached Supreme, and by the time some existences finally reacted, he was already at Grand Supreme.

The realisation of what had happened slowly sank in for them all, the source of Daniella’s seemingly infinite power now revealed before their eyes.

|She was using his power...|

Kaiser muttered quietly as the reason spatiotemporal abilities hadn’t worked on her finally clicked.

If she’d been using Jamie’s power, it made sense that she was immune to Spatial abilities.

Her ability to react to cosmic energy probably came from this as well. Just as a cat would react to even the smallest movement on a screen, Jamie’s power within her was responding to the cosmic energy she couldn’t perceive, allowing her to act against it.

As this understanding clicked, Jamie’s power kept climbing, and soon, not a single soul present could sense its level.

It rose so high that they couldn’t sense anything and could only see Jamie as an ordinary man.

That realisation sent chills through them because it meant his power was so far beyond theirs that they couldn’t even detect its baseline.

The transfer only took a few minutes, as what had originally been Jamie’s simply returned to him, and after the mist was fully absorbed, Daniella passed out.

Jamie looked down at his hand, clenching his fist as he muttered.

"One Stage..."

His power had dropped by a full Existence Realm Stage.

That was how much Daniella had consumed while she possessed his energy.

Of course, she couldn’t replenish it since it wasn’t hers, and even if she could regenerate some, what she restored would be nothing more than a drop in the ocean.

Still, the fact that she had needed to use a whole Stage’s worth of a Zenith Haven Realm existence’s power was what made Jamie laugh.

All he could do was laugh at how absurd it was.

That was more than enough power to unmake and remake Zanerth several million times, consumed in just under five thousand years.

Granted, the battles she fought during that time accounted for barely a few percent of that consumption.

What had consumed the most was the maintenance of her seal, and that was why Jamie laughed.

Turning around, Jamie looked at everyone gathered, his gaze piercing through space and locking onto those watching from beyond Tau.

With a bright, almost amused smile, he slowly shook his head before speaking, his True Voice echoing across the universe.

|I have to congratulate some of you,| he began, his tone deceptively calm, |because, on this fateful day, you’ve chosen to secure death for yourselves.|

He stepped forward as he continued, his words filled with quiet fury.

|Months on end, millions of you, running across the universe like rabid beasts, chasing a single person without rest.

All of you acting on an unconfirmed lead, dancing to the tune of the successors of the same bastards who nearly destroyed this universe once, the same ones who almost killed many of you here.|

His gaze swept through the silent crowd, his next words dripping with mockery.

|Why? Because you wanted the so-called blueprint of the Hybrids.

No... what you really wanted was the power and the Deathless-Immortality that came with it. You wanted to be unbound by the Concepts of Life and Death themselves, unkillable even by Eternals or the Cosmic Horrors that roam the Outerverse.|

He stopped walking, his voice deepening as he raised a hand slightly. |Not one of you stopped to question the source of that information. Not one of you asked why the person who revealed it didn’t keep it for themselves and hunt her down alone.

Not one of you thought about what would happen afterwards—what would happen once you actually got your hands on that blueprint.|

Jamie’s smile faded, his expression turning cold as he spoke with finality.

|But I suppose you don’t have to think anymore. You’ll see the results for yourselves soon enough.|

As his words echoed, a colossal cosmic magic circle appeared above the unconscious Daniella, its rotation slow at first before accelerating rapidly.

One after another, additional circles began forming over it, stacking in concentric layers as the fabric of reality trembled.

Jamie slowly turned as Daniella’s chest literally split open, and a golf-ball-sized orb of amber light slowly floated out.

It pulsed unevenly, expanding with every passing second, and by the time Daniella’s body sealed itself shut, it hovered about two metres above the ground and had grown to the size of a basketball.

Everyone watched in silence at the unidentifiable ball of light floating without a sound, and at that moment, Miranda spoke to Jamie telepathically.

[Jay...what is that thing?]

Not a single person here could make sense of it, but they all felt instinctive fear and revulsion at the thought of using any ability to analyse it.

Those who tried to fight that fear immediately regretted the decision.

As for what happened to them, let’s just say the ones who suffered soul damage got off lightly.

Jamie kept his eyes on the orb, a sigh escaping his lips as he answered Miranda’s question.

’Check your memories, Mira. You know what it is.’

[Huh?]

Miranda’s confusion was obvious, and at this, Jamie asked a question of his own.

’Throughout the entire time we spent in Angela’s lab, during all her experiments, what’s the one thing Angela referred to the most when turning us into what we are now?

What she always looked at while working.’

Miranda went silent for a moment, her mind unlocking the compartmentalised memories of the years in Angela’s lab, but even after scanning them all, she couldn’t find an answer to Jamie’s question.

[Nothing. I can’t remember her doing that with anything...]

’Exactly.’

Jamie’s confusing response left Miranda staring in disbelief, but her attention quickly shifted as the glowing orb of light began absorbing the ambient cosmic energy at an incredible rate, absorbing even the energy Miranda had been using to immobilise all those who had attacked Daniella.

The energy Sarina had used to conjure her spear was absorbed, too, along with every other construct of cosmic energy in sight.

The orb unleashed a blinding flash that momentarily overwhelmed everyone’s vision, and when the light faded, what floated before them was no longer an orb of light.

"A...heart?"

Indeed.

A live, beating human heart hovered in the air before them as everyone watched in stunned silence.

Then cosmic energy began to gather at a ridiculous rate, swirling until the total energy concentration in the entire universe dropped by a level.

That egregious amount of energy was absorbed by the heart, and as the pressure distorted reality and even broke Jamie’s Imperial Privileges, ’creation’ began before their eyes.

From the raw energy, a skeleton materialised first, followed by muscle layering naturally over the framework, veins and arteries forming to connect to the beating heart that pulsed at the centre.

Slowly, fair skin spread over the body, smoothing over the structure beneath, wrapping every contour and crevice.

The featureless head above the torso gradually developed subtle ridges into an actual face. Small openings appeared where the eyes, nostrils, and mouth would be, filling immediately as ears sprouted at the sides, while long black hair streamed upward and outward from the crown.

As the completed body floated suspended in the air, curled in a foetal position, Sarina sighed and shook her head, while Miranda’s eyes widened in shock.

Her shock was mirrored along with trepidation in all the eyes watching.

Now, Miranda understood the meaning behind Jamie’s earlier question.

Jamie spread his arms wide like he was making a presentation, a cynical smile on his face as he declared.

|Behold! The so-called ’Blueprint’ of the Hybrids.|

Miranda ran through her memories and realised that, just as Jamie had said, she already knew what it was.

Question: ’What had Angela referenced the most when creating the Hybrids?’

As the closed eyelids slowly fluttered open, revealing a pair of shimmering eyes, Miranda could think of only one single-word answer.

’Herself.’

The so-called Blueprint of the Hybrids wasn’t just a plan or formula, but was their creator herself.

The Witch of Chaos.

Angela Jacqueline Cathedral.
