Chapter 591: Sage Tier Elementals

"BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!"

The first thing Vlad heard upon reaching the secret plane was a massive explosion. His body tensed, and his energy surged as he instinctively prepared for battle, thinking they were under attack. However, he quickly realized that it was not a spell but a lightning bolt that had fallen from the sky.

That did not mean they were safe. More and more lightning bolts rained down, tearing through the air with deafening roars. The sky was covered in endless storm clouds, swirling ominously above. Normally, lightning bolts were not something that Sages had to worry about, but these were different. The power contained within them matched that of a weak Sage Spell!

Vlad frowned as he gazed at the turbulent sky, wondering if these storms were some sort of protective measure created by the organization that had forged this secret plane or if there was another, more sinister force at play. However, he did not have the luxury of pondering over such mysteries for long, as Agamenon suddenly sent out a signal, summoning everyone to his side.

Although Vlad was used to taking command in these kinds of situations, he had come here as a soldier and a Runic Master, not as a leader. So, without hesitation, he moved swiftly to Agamenon’s side, joining the other Sky Seed Depravitas. The other leaders did the same, grouping their forces accordingly. As the formations took shape, the eyes of Janus and Agamenon sharpened with recognition.

The duo stood together with their men, an expected sight given their relationship and familial ties. However, what caught their attention was that Valeria, Scipius, and Cato, who usually acted independently, had formed an alliance. They moved almost as if they were a single force, an unusual and unexpected display of unity.

It did not take a genius to figure out that this behavior was due to Decimus’s presence. The Zanis Family was filthy rich—wealthy enough to buy the loyalty of both Scipius and Cato.

The Sky Seed Depravitas and the rest of Janus and Agamenon’s teams also took note of this alliance, and solemn expressions arose among them since this was not a good development for them. None of them deluded themselves into thinking this expedition would be peaceful. Even if they found treasure before anyone else, keeping it was a different challenge altogether. Finding a treasure was one thing; having the strength to hold it was another.

"First things first. We must reach the base of the organization," Janus declared.

His words snapped everyone’s minds back into focus. They quickly analyzed their surroundings, pushing aside unnecessary thoughts. The sky remained thick with storm clouds, while the ground below was dry, cracked, and lifeless due to the relentless bombardment of lightning. In the distance, a massive mountain loomed, its peak stretching beyond the storm clouds. Surrounding it were high, imposing walls.

It was clear—the base of the organization that had created this secret plane was on that mountain. Their goal was set.

Janus and Agamenon exchanged glances with Valeria, Scipius, and Cato, and mutual distrust was evident between both parties as they advanced toward the mountain while maintaining a safe distance from each other. The lightning bolts continued to rain down, but those present were seasoned warriors, well-versed in adapting to dangerous and unpredictable terrain. Each faction devised its own countermeasures to navigate through the deadly storm.

Above the Sky Seed Depravitas, a dark cloud hovered, acting as an umbrella that absorbed the lightning strikes falling around them. This was the work of Jormungandr, who had cast a spell that not only protected the group but also stored the absorbed energy like a battery, which could be unleashed later in case of battle.

And they did not have to wait long for a battle to arise.

Before they had even advanced ten minutes, the earth ahead of them cracked and split apart. Massive rocky hands burst forth from below, sending tremors through the ground.

All the teams halted, their eyes narrowing as they watched the colossal creatures emerge from the earth. Their bodies were forged from what appeared to be stone and rock, with veins of lightning coursing through them, holding them together.

"Elementals," someone muttered.

The realization settled over the group. No one was surprised to see these creatures here. The dimension was brimming with energy, and without any form of disruption or control, it was natural for Elementals to form. These creatures were neither intelligent nor capable of diplomacy—they were fiercely territorial. If they wanted to reach the mountain, there was no choice but to eliminate them.

"Brother Vlad," Agamenon called out, turning toward him with a meaningful glance.

The Depravita of Wrath nodded in understanding. He stepped forward alongside the other Sky Seed Depravitas while the rest of the team held back. Given the dangers of this place, it would be unwise for all of them to expend their energy at once. If an unexpected threat emerged later, they would need reserves of strength to deal with it. Fighting in waves was the best strategy.

The first to act was a small yellow cat—Jormungandr.

Opening his mouth, Jormungandr swallowed the massive dark cloud he had previously gathered. His body swelled momentarily before he let loose a devastating attack.

"ZNNNNNNNNNNNN."

A beam of pure energy shot forward at an astonishing speed, tearing through space itself. It landed among the first wave of Elementals, and what happened next was simple.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!"

A massive explosion erupted, reducing more than a dozen Elementals to rubble. Shockwaves rippled through the battlefield, scattering dust and debris in all directions. The sheer force of the blast sent cracks splintering across the ground, and for a moment, silence hung in the air.

But it did not last.

More Elementals surged forward, unfazed by their fallen brethren. Their bodies crackled with electrical energy, and their stone limbs moved with unnatural agility. Each step they took sent tremors through the ground, making it clear that this battle was far from over. While all the present were very strong, it was clear that the battle would not be simple.
