Betrothed To An Alpha? I Don't Think So!-Chapter 121: My Daughter
Zayne’s face softened. He tucked her hair behind her ear and leaned in, leaving a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Tell me when you’re much more comfortable."
Evelyn nodded at him and stared at his face. They were both silent, and as if she’d been thinking, she mouthed to him, "I love you, Zayne."
He was a bit taken aback. She loved him, she’d said so. He still had little doubts, but hearing her say it often like this, as if she wanted to keep reminding him that she truly loved him, made his lips twitch as a smile pulled on his face.
"I love you more," he said, proceeding to weave his fingers through hers. "Can I move?" he asked.
She nodded at him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as she braced herself. Carefully, he began thrusting, gentle with it, and eventually, the little pain she felt was overcome with the pleasure that travelled all over her body, causing her feet to curl into the bed sheet.
She threw her head back, breathing out as a soft moan fell from her lips, over and over again. She would say his name again and again, her hand curling into his hair where she grabbed.
"Does it feel good?" Zayne asked as he kissed her shoulder, up to her neck, her cheek, and then her neck again.
Evelyn nodded rapidly at him. "It does. It feels so good, Zayne."
His face contracted, as his own pleasure shocked through his body. He gripped her hand tighter, parting his lips as he let out puffs of breath. "Can I mark you?"
Evelyn was confused by the question, unable to comprehend as she was completely lost in ecstasy. "Ma.. M-mark me? What do you mean? What is that?"
"I want to bite you, to mark you and bond with you," he explained. "But that’s only if you want me to. If you don’t, I won’t. That you love me is more than enou–"
"Do it," she interrupted him. "Do it. Mark me. I don’t–I don’t mind."
He blinked. "Are you sure?"
"Yes. I am sure, Zayne. G-go ahead."
Zayne swallowed. He was a bit reluctant. She was as if in a drunken state and he didn’t know if she meant this. Would she regret it?
But his teeth were itching. He needed to mark her. He really wanted to mark her. To bond with her and to solely make her his.
His hands curled into her hair before he could think. He grabbed on, but gently, leaning in as his canines stretched.
As they pierced in, Evelyn hissed at the bite, only for her eyes to almost roll to the back of her skull in the very next moment.
The bite, she didn’t know why, but it felt good. It felt so good, her fingers dug into his skin, causing a bruise. Her stomach constricted. And just as she was coming down from her own release, Zayne grunted, thrusting a few more times as he did as well.
He took a few moments before he pulled back, and ran his tongue over his bloody smeared lips. He stared down at her, a soft breath fleeing his mouth. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"W-what was that?" Evelyn asked. "It felt good."
"It’s a mating mark," he responded, leaning in to kiss her forehead. Then he whispered. "It feels good when it’s consensual. Non-consensual marking hurts and could potentially kill the other party."
Her eyes grew as wide as saucers. And he chuckled under his breath, falling onto the side. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in, spooning and hugging her tightly.
He buried his face in her neck, murmuring softly, "I love you, Evelyn."
Evelyn was sleepy, but she heard him, lazily blinking her heavy-lidded eyes. "I love you... more. Zayne."
—------
Lincoln sat across from a woman who looked like Evelyn’s mother. The difference was that, unlike Evelyn’s mother who had blonde hair, this woman had dark black hair.
Her eyes were blue though, and he was glaring at him.
"This is the first time you have decided to visit since my little sister died," she scoffed.
Lincoln gave a bitter smile, unable to bring himself to face the woman. "Mina... I-I had my own trouble to face with my family. A lot of things went wrong, and then there was her death. Things went too wrong. I was in a tight space, I could hardly do anything, and all I could–"
"Save your excuses Lincoln and answer my question. Why are you here?" the woman Mina asked.
Lino lin wanted to apologize but knowing that the woman wouldn’t guve him a chance to do so, he sighed, forcing a smile.
"I came to clarify something," he said.
"Clarify what?"
"You and your sister’s true identity."
Mina was taken aback by his words, her pupils dilating for a second. But in the next moment, she calmed down, asking, "Our identities?"
Lincoln nodded. "Yes. Once your sister had told me that she wasn’t human. I hadn’t believed her then. I had thought she was joking and so I laughed it off. I mean, if she wasn’t human, what could she be?"
Mina balled her hands. "What are you trying to say?"
"My daughter was sick a few days ago. And during a hospital test, I found something strange," he began. "Her blood is different. Even her heart sped faster than a normal human heart. But she is perfectly healthy, even the doctor confirmed it. Now, when your sister was pregnant with her, we had done a test and after she got the result, she had mistakenly sent them to me and they are similar to my daughter’s test result. Can you explain this to me?"
Mina stared at him.
She narrowed her eyes and her fingers which had lengthened would scratch against the armrest of the chair she was seated on.
"Mina, I want to know what my wife was. What my daughter is. She is my child, I love her and I would never harm her. Even as I know at this moment that your sister hasn’t been human, I still love her, nothing has changed. So please, tell me the truth and make me understand. I want to protect my daughter more than anything."
He continued, "You are a mother, and I am hoping you will understand me as a parent."
