Beneath the Red Dragon-Chapter 70 - 26: A Minor Issue During Territory Inspection

The clamor of the Giant Dragons did not last long. In fact, for the vast majority of Five-Color Dragons, emotional indifference, selfishness, and inherent greed are their most obvious traits.

Although the Dragon Group has been influenced by Karon, the internal connections within the Dragon Group are very different from other Five-Color Dragons. To the outside world, however, the Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group are still those evil Giant Dragons with unchangeable nature.

Just like White Dragon Gomot, if other Five-Color Dragons were in possession of large territories and became the actual rulers, greed and ambition-driven Giant Dragons would never easily return the sovereignty of the territory.

Even knowing they can’t defeat Giant Dragons like Karon, they would still stubbornly give it a try, only being driven away or forced to join the Dragon Group after being defeated.

But this change is actually a good thing for the Dragon Group. If Five-Colored Giant Dragons could unite like Metal Dragons, even with their inherently chaotic attributes and carrying the name of evil, they wouldn’t be almost universally hunted in all worlds.

After all, if they had the tradition of Metal Dragons where the older ones came when the younger ones were beaten, Five-Colored Giant Dragons could do even more ferocious things.

Karon was now squatting at the highest point of the Dragon Nest Mountain Range, watching the Young Dragons cheering and flying, choosing their nests anew on the mountain range.

Having learned from the last lesson, these Young Dragons decided to rebuild their nests at the mountaintop. That way, even if enemies could penetrate the outer protective ring of the Dragon’s Beloved, these Giant Dragons could quickly spot them.

Although the treasures of these Young Dragons were looted completely in the past, the freedom of life now is the greatest treasure to them.

Moreover, after Gomot’s years of leadership, those Beloved have accumulated quite a bit of treasure for the Giant Dragon Treasure Vault.

This was what surprised Karon the most, as White Dragon Gomot actively handed over the ownership of this treasure vault to him, which is so unlike Five-Color Dragons!

"Karon, all the treasure accumulated over the years has been placed in the cave—it’s the Dragon Group’s treasure vault, you should be the one to manage it!"

The White Dragon stood beside Karon. Although Gomot’s body developed and grew after the dormancy period, White Dragons originally belonged to the smallest dragon species among Five-Color Dragons. Now compared to the Red Dragon beside him, he was like a slightly thicker hemp stem.

"You did very well, my brother," Karon said, looking at the White Dragon next to him. The natural indifference in his pupils was also tinted with a layer of warmth. He sniffed and said with some surprise: "Gomot, you smell differently, you’ve changed somewhat from before."

The White Dragon opened his mouth to reveal his tusks which were longer and slender compared to the Red Dragon’s, "Karon, I always remembered your words and followed in your footsteps to become stronger,"

Karon shook his head, the bloodline growth had made it a fiercer head, nearly larger by half a circle than the White Dragon’s, and said, "I prefer when humans call you—White King Gomot, this is the praise and honor you deserve."

The White Dragon knew Karon was not the kind of narrow-minded Giant Dragon, at least for the internal Dragon Group, but Gomot still didn’t think he could assume such a title, as he was just a Young Dragon.

In the eyes of Giant Dragons, whether Metal or Five-Color Dragons or other True Dragon species, a Giant Dragon crowned with "King" must possess strength surpassing other ordinary Giant Dragons.

Thus, the White Dragon shook his head, looking at the robust body of the Red Dragon that made dragons envious and said, "Only one King can be among the Dragon Group, and that King can only be you."

"Karon, if I dare to assume this title, not only would other Giant Dragons in the Group be disgruntled, but even other Giant Dragons would come to trouble us."

After learning from his lesson and his conversation with the Mage, Karon thought about gathering those scattered Five-Colored Giant Dragons.

If these Five-Colored Giant Dragons learn to unite, the strength they possess will not only be enough for self-protection but can also establish a strong Monster Kingdom.

By then, a title like White King would be nothing significant.

However, the current power of the Dragon Group is insufficient to achieve this. The most important thing now is to manage the current Dragon Group Territory well, avoiding past mistakes, learning from experience.

"Yes, we still need to accumulate strength for now." Karon stood up, his broad wings stretched out as he flew downwards.

The territory and Beloved were still waiting for his inspection. Having left for so long, he should take a good look at what changes have occurred in the territory.

The White Dragon habitually followed, rising into the air behind the Red Dragon.

These Giant Dragons are no longer Juvenile Dragons from the past, having grown into Young Dragons; the Dragon Group now represents a considerable force on this land.

And as the gradually growing Giant Dragons fluttered their broad wings, casting vast shadows over the living creatures below, all the animals on this land would know that the former rulers had returned.

The grassland remained vast and boundless, lakes were scattered like stars, plants thrived, and animals ran in joy.

But when Karon once again approached the great tree that was once Anna’s habitat, the female leopard was nowhere to be found.

It turns out that the two cubs the leopard Anna once bore have now grown into the top predators in this region, which is not without the help of the leopard borrowing Dragon Power, but also indicates the twins’ strength.

Perhaps due to frequent exposure to the aura of Giant Dragons, these two leopards underwent some degree of mutation.

Not only are their physiques larger than the normal peers, but even the pupils of the beasts possess an extra gleaming spirituality.

Yet, perhaps because Karon had been away for too long, or maybe because Karon’s outward appearance and aura had changed.

These two leopards lying and resting under the tree did not frantically flee like other beasts upon seeing the Giant Dragons arrive, but no longer crawled over to roll around at Karon’s feet as before.

They just lazily lay under the tree, gazing at these large Giant Dragons.

Karon did not experience any additional emotional fluctuations; life, death, illness are unavoidable stages for ordinary creatures. He came here only out of habit.
