Becoming The Villain Is My Dream-Chapter 53: Xanth Academy
After leaving the office, the driver stopped and faced Alex.
"I’ve done my part already, it’s time for me to leave and go back," he said to Alex.
"Going back is not safe, how will you and the others cope?" Alex asked him.
"We will try and survive until it is safe for you to return and take over the place after your uncle, our Master," the driver replied.
"Hmmm," Alex sighed with a little bit of reluctance in his eyes.
"Don’t you want to take over the place? It is your home, remember?" The driver said to him.
"I appoint you the leader, make the place a home for you and the rest. I don’t have any business there," Alex replied and began to walk ahead.
The driver stood there for a while and watched as Alex walked farther and farther away, he then sighed and followed behind. Soon, he was outside the school gate, and gazing at the hate one more time, he climbed into the car and drove off.
Meanwhile, Alex was still walking around in search of his class. But soon after, he finally found his class and walked towards it. He got to the door and gazed at the description ’Welcome to class 1D’ before walking inside.
As soon as he walked into the class, everyone turned their eyes to the door. Seeing the dirty-looking boy, some began to laugh while some scoffed at him.
"Who are you?" The teacher in the class asked him.
"Alex Griffin," Alex replied.
"Oh, you are the kid the Dean talked about? Go have your seat then," the male teacher replied.
Alex ignored the ones making fun of him and walked to a seat at the back, he still had his bag with him so he kept it close to his feet and faced the board.
"Now, everyone, let us go back to our discussion," the teacher said to the students before continuing what he was saying before Alex walked in. "As I said before, there will be a test tomorrow so you all should get ready for it, no one is expected to fail or be ready to repeat the same class next term," he said to them.
"Teacher, I’ve got a question," a student raised his hand and said.
"What is your question, Dante?" The teacher asked the boy with red hair.
"What about the new student? Is he also going to take the test?" The boy asked the teacher and took a sneak peek at Alex who didn’t bother to glance at him.
"Yes, everyone will take the test. It’s up to him to pass or not," the teacher replied and the boy smirked and sat down. "That will be all for now. After the break, the class will continue," he said and stood up from his seat. After carrying his bag, he left the class.
Immediately after the teacher left the class, some impatient students got up from their seats and headed to Alex’s side. Some were curious while some were there to find trouble.
"Hey, tell me what a smelling kid like you is doing in our school?" The red-haired boy, Dante asked him.
Alex ignored him like he should but the boy instead of respecting himself, got more irritated by the cold treatment given to him.
"Are you gonna talk or do you want us to give you some punishment?" He asked Alex.
Still not replying to him, Alex picked up his bag and stood up to leave but the boy dragged the bag out of his hand and flung it out of the nearby window. He had expected Alex to get angry and react but Alex glanced at him for a while and then walked towards the window where the boy had thrown his bag. He lowered himself and picked up the bag and after dusting it, he began to leave the class.
Just as he got to the entrance door, the boy rushed and blocked his way.
"You ain’t leaving here until you’ve got a piece of me!" He said to Alex and began to fold his sleeves. "A piece of shit like you has no space in a school like this. Go back to hell you came from!" He said while folding his sleeves.
Alex gazed at the boy who was shorter than him, he wondered what gave him the audacity to think he could bully him even with his height. What he wanted to avoid was getting into conflict with anyone because he had not discovered how his new powers worked. He didn’t want any problem, not even a tiny bit of it.
So he pushed the boy out of his way and walked past him. But as he went outside, the boy angrily rushed to attack him from the back but he rapidly turned around and caught his hand in midair.
"If you want to live longer, stay away from me. Not just him but all of you here," Alex said to all of them gathered around him before tossing the boy’s arm and leaving abruptly.
"Dante, are you alright?" One of the students rushed over to the boy’s side and helped him up.
"You assholes! Wouldn’t it be nice if you had given me a helping hand?" The boy yelled at his friend.
"But Dante, are you the only one who’s not feeling the new student’s aura? I think we should leave him alone and save ourselves the trouble," the boy replied.
"Don’t tell me you are already scared?" Dante asked his friend. "What are you so afraid of? He’s a normal person like us, it’s not like he’s some kind of God or something that we can not touch," he said with a deep frown on his face.
"You are being too stubborn," the boy said to Dante who fiend ignorance of what he was saying. "If anything happens, count me out of it!" The boy seeing that his friend wasn’t going to listen to him said and and went back into the class.
"Tsk, watch how I’m going make that dirty bastard wish he never came here in the first place!" Dante firmly said with his fists clenched and stormed away. He was making his way in the direction of Alex.
Meanwhile, Alex didn’t want to stay in the class and decided to take a short walk around the class area. Since he didn’t know his way around the school yet, he marked the places he had passed with his brain so he wouldn’t get lost. The class area was so large, it could be said that it is the largest area in the school followed by the hostel area. It had so many class buildings that at one stage, he stopped going further and decided to return to his class.
On his way, he met Dante again, and seeing the boy, he frowned deeply. ’What the hell does he want this time?’ He thought to himself and tried as much as possible to ignore and walk past him.
But as made to walk past him, the boy pulled out a sword without his knowledge. When he realized what was happening, the boy had already raised the sword in the air, and it was only an inch away from his shoulder.
Quickly without thinking, Alex dodged the attack but some strands of his white hair weren’t as lucky as he was and ended up being trimmed.
When he noticed that some strands of his hair had fallen off, he looked down and saw that it wasn’t just a little, it was not something he would overlook because other students were watching and laughing at him.
Still... He did the unthinkable — He gently packed the fallen hair, picked up his bag, and walked away.
"What!" Dante grunted, not quite understanding what was going on. He was confused by how overly calm and ignorant Alex was. He wanted to go after him but for a reason, his legs would not move, and he watched as Alex walked further away from him. The other students who were watching from the corners didn’t get what they wanted so they grumbled in disappointment while walking away one after the other.
Alex returned to the class and went straight to his seat. Some of the students who saw him unscathed were surprised because they had thought that Dante would seriously deal with him as they had expected. They had wanted to be disappointed but then they saw that one side of his hair was trimmed off and this made them happy even though it didn’t end the way they wanted it to.
Alex was aware of everything happening around him but as always, he fiend ignorance and didn’t say anything to anyone.
Soon, the break was over and everyone returned to their classes. Dante didn’t say or do anything to Alex but his eyes never went off him, he realized that he was still holding the strands of his hair in his hands and this made him frown in displease. When the teacher came in and began to teach, he took his eyes off him to focus on the class but just when he looked away, he felt someone’s eyes on him, and when he checked, he saw Alex staring at him with a creepy smile on his face.
