Eventually, Callum took his little family home because it was already late. His twins were already asleep, but Edith still didn’t want to sleep, as she had something she wanted to tell Callum. Edith put on her face mask for a moment at the vanity table, gazing at Callum’s handsome face, still glowing despite his exhaustion from the day’s work.

"You shouldn’t have worn a face mask today. I noticed you looked tired earlier," Callum suggested softly.

"It’s okay. Besides, I don’t want to sleep yet." Edith got up from her chair for a moment and sat down on the bed with her fiancé.

"Did something happen to you?"

"I met James earlier."

In an instant, Callum’s face turned sullen. "Why did you meet him without me?"

Edith folded her arms. "Why are you so jealous? He and I were just talking."

"Because I don’t want to let you meet other men alone without me."

"You’ve always been so possessive!" Edith immediately looked away in annoyance. "Then I’ll just go to sleep instead of telling you."

"So, what were you guys talking about without my knowledge?"

"I asked him to help me investigate the accident case five years ago."

"Besides that, is there anything else you two talked about?"

"Are you suspecting me?"

"You must have talked for quite a long time, not only about the accident case, there must have been other things you talked about too."

Edith chose to press her lips together tightly and lie down on the bed. She deliberately slept facing the bedside table, annoyed by her possessive fiancé.

Callum also lay down and hugged his fiancée tightly. "Edith, why are you so quiet? So, what were you two talking about?"

Edith remained silent, holding back laughter. She actually intended to tease her fiancé for teasing her.

Of course Callum didn’t want his fiancée to remain silent. He immediately turned his fiancée’s body to face him and then kissed the red lips in front of him. He deliberately opened that sweet mouth forcibly so that his beloved fiancée could speak.

"You finally spoke up, Edith! I thought you wouldn’t talk to me."

"Isn’t this coercion? If I don’t want to talk, why do you keep forcing me?"

Edith rolled her eyes. "I don’t want to hear your small talk. Didn’t I already talk to you?"

"I still can’t get enough of your voice."

A mischievous smile spread across her beautiful face. Edith slowly moved her head closer to the sexy lips in front of her. "Do you want to hear the rest of my story?"

"Of course. I’m still curious, actually."

"Actually, James told me earlier. You used to complain to him about not being able to marry me. Now he’s really excited to help us so he can see you marry me."

"So, it wasn’t because he wanted to take you away from me?"

"This is because you’re so possessive! You should have listened to my story until the end."

A beaming smile spread across his handsome face. His right hand stroked his fiancée’s head. "I’m sorry, Edith. I won’t be so rash again."

"You don’t have to apologize to me." Edith looked away for a moment with a shy smile. "It’s just that every time you get jealous, you get cuter."

"So, you prefer me to be jealous?"

"I didn’t say that I like seeing you jealous."

"Since you were sulking earlier, should I punish you?"

"Why do you like punishing me so much? You have to go to work tomorrow."

"Don’t worry, I won’t punish you too much." He brought his lips close to her ear in front of her. "Besides, don’t you want it too?"

"I don’t want to right now. I just want to sleep!"

Callum kissed his fiancée’s shoulder while feeling it with his lips, making his fiancée moan sexily.

"Calllummm!"

"I miss you so much, Edith."

"Even though we’ve only been apart for a few hours, you already miss me so much!"

"Weren’t you the one who looked more spoiled earlier? I remember your face from morning until lunchtime, you never get tired of looking at me all the time."

In the end, Edith didn’t want to play hard to get any longer. She kissed her fiancé briefly on the lips and then hid under the covers.

Several days have passed since Callum was appointed as a member of the board of commissioners. He’s now quite busy with meetings and hotel management. Due to his busy schedule, he hasn’t been spending much time with his twins lately. Every time he wants to visit a boutique, someone always wants to meet him. This makes him increasingly unable to contain his longing for his fiancée and twins.

All day, Callum stared out the mirror with a listless gaze. He silently hoped no one would bother him again. He had promised he would be home on time today.

Just as he was about to put on his jacket, Patrick suddenly entered his room with a serious look, making him immediately put his jacket roughly on the back of the chair.

"Who else wants to meet me?!"

"Callum, could you lower your voice? You have a guest here."

A heavy sigh escaped his lips. "Okay, let him in. Hopefully I can get home on time today."

A man who looked younger than him entered the room. He immediately got up from his chair and walked over to him with a friendly smile.

"Zack, I didn’t expect you to come back to town."

Zack smiled kindly and bowed his head. "It’s an honor to meet you, Callum."

"You don’t need to be so polite around me. The last time we met was when I was on a business trip three years ago."

"I’m actually very surprised to see you become so successful. Especially since there’s been a lot of news circulating about you and your girlfriend lately. I never thought you’d be engaged to such a beautiful woman."

"By the way, what made you come to me all of a sudden?"

"Can I ask you a favor, Callum?"
