News of Edith and Callum’s engagement is becoming increasingly sensational, maintaining its position at number one on social media. Today is a crucial day for Callum, as he has finally secured a position as a member of the board of commissioners of The King’s Group. Although Callum and Edith feel something is amiss about this sudden appointment, they pretend not to know anything.

Callum looked different today. This morning, he had been treated very special by his fiancée, who had given him various special gifts for this important day. Callum kept scratching his head as he stared at the various gifts his fiancée had given him.

"Edith, do you want me to wear all your gifts today?"

"Of course, because you will be even more handsome if you wear all my gifts," said Edith while tying a tie for her fiancé.

"You tell me I’m handsome every day. Are you just trying to cheer me up every day to keep me motivated to work?"

Edith remained silent. She was now putting the watch on her fiancé’s left wrist. Just as she was about to grab his suit, she felt a sudden warmth from behind.

"Thank you, Edith. You’ve always supported me until I got to where I am today."

"Actually, this is all thanks to you." Edith slowly turned to look at her fiancé with a twinkling in her eyes. "I love how you never give up on what you want."

"But, all I want in my life is you. I don’t need anything else."

"Don’t you want a decent position? Don’t you want wealth too?"

"No. Even if I had all that, I wouldn’t necessarily be happy. I live happily only because you’re by my side."

Her cheeks flushed red at her fiancé’s overly sweet words. "Callum, can you just sweet talk me before bed? I feel like my body is getting hotter every time I hear your sweet words."

"Okay, I’ll sweet talk you to my heart’s content before I go to sleep." His lips pressed deeply against his fiancée’s.

Edith loved receiving sweet kisses from her fiancé in the morning, without realizing it her two hands were wrapped tightly around his broad back.

"I’ll attend your inauguration ceremony as well. Even though I don’t own any shares in King’s Group, as your fiancé, I at least have the right to attend."

"Then, what about the children?"

"As usual, Renata will take care of them."

Edith and Callum entered the meeting room together. Their presence was greeted respectfully by all the members of the board of commissioners, including Kevin. Edith and Callum sat side by side, exchanging happy glances. Edith silently prayed that Callum’s appointment to the board of commissioners wasn’t a trap orchestrated by Kevin. She was genuinely worried that something might happen to Callum during his tenure as a member of the board of commissioners.

The inauguration ceremony began with a brief speech from Kevin, followed by the handover of the position to Callum. As Callum and Kevin shook hands, Edith erupted in applause, immensely proud of her now-fiancé. Once looked down upon for being an illegitimate child, she was now respected by many.

After attending the inauguration ceremony for The King’s Group board of commissioners, Callum took his little family out for lunch at a fancy restaurant. Edith was busy feeding her twins, while Callum was busy feeding Edith. As time went on, they became more and more willing to show off their truly harmonious family. They didn’t do this intentionally to show off, but rather to vent what they had been unable to do freely.

"You look so cool today, Callum."

"I could tell from the way your eyes kept staring at me earlier." Callum winked his right eye casually.

"I never thought the board of commissioners would like you so much. I thought they’d hate you because you were involved in a scandal, too."

"Actually, I was a bit nervous at first because they probably wouldn’t like me. I rarely attend important events, and now I’m suddenly joining them. But because I often help my father solve company problems, they really respect me."

Spontaneously, Erdin and Eliana put some pieces of French fries on his plate, making Callum laugh awkwardly.

"Kids, why did you suddenly give me French fries?"

"Mom said today is an important day for Dad," said Erdin with an innocent look.

Callum cleared his throat as he looked at his fiancée. "My daughter, don’t praise me too much. Your mother will be jealous."

Edith burst out laughing, touching her belly. "Darling, I wouldn’t be jealous of my own child. Besides, it’s you who’s always been jealous, not me."

"Eliana compliments me just like you. You’re so similar. Every time I play with Eliana, I’m always reminded of you."

"Dad, are we going to play after this?" Eliana asked with a pleading face.

In an instant, Callum’s expression turned nervous. "Forgive me, my princess. Because I received an important gift today, I’ve become busy with work."

"Eliana, from now on you will play with me more often." Edith looked pityingly at her daughter who looked listless upon hearing this bad news.

"Are you okay if dad is busy working now?"

Eliana shook her head slowly as she took a bite of a french fry. "I’m fine, Dad. Playing with Mom is fun too."

"You don’t have to worry. Even though I’m busy, I can definitely play with you every night."

"You should sit down first and we can talk about this properly."
