Becoming God Of A Dystopian World-Chapter 235: Leader Of The Spies
"Why so?"
Zhao Luo was the one who questioned Senior Cutie's confidence.
"How are you so sure that there is no chance of them reaching the Qi Range already?", Zhao Luo continued but this wasn't the end, "What if they already had beast to travel on too?"
Zhao Luo looked at Senior Cutie while presenting his thoughts on the matter.
"Do you think this sand lion stayed back for you? A beast waiting for a human?"
Senior Cutie replied with a question.
A question that seemed to be irrelevant to the situation but was an important one.
Zhao Luo glanced at Bimba.
Even though he already felt attached to Bimba, Zhao Luo still knew that there was some other reason behind Bimba staying back at the base of the entry mountain for over a month.
"Well, I don't know. He may have missed me."
Zhao Luo slowly mumbled back while rolling his eyes.
"Hah, then explain the shameless look on your face. Even you don't believe what you have just said, Little Brother."
Senior Cutie smiled as he commented on Zhao Luo who was looking away at the moment.
"This beast of yours was like a rat trapped in a box. That is how devious the formation is, which is set around the 10-km radius of the Range."
Senior Cutie started telling Zhao Luo about the formation.
They had already left the formation an hour ago.
"Other ranges are the same too. They also have their own formations around their ranges for protections.", Senior continued while the three listened to him.
"Protection from what?"
Zhao Luo wondered as he couldn't think of anything that could endanger the top elders and the Sect leader of the Xin Sect.
"The hidden beasts! Many threats are still lurking in the Sara desert without letting anyone know of their existence this formation is just a safety factor."
"If these formations weren't around the ranges, then who knows what kind of beast army from the Sara Desert would be rushing at these ranges. The main point is that since a beast was trapped for so long inside the formation that it had to give up, even the spies of the Qi Sect would have wasted a lot of time finding their way out."
Senior Cutie explained the reason behind his comment of the spies having no chance of reaching their mountain range just yet.
Zhao Luo's deep eyes looked like they were shining under the bright sun as he listened to Senior Cutie's explanation.
'So there are some hidden beasts in the Sara Desert.'
Zhao Luo learned something new.
He could have never imagined that there could be such a threat lying just next to the Xin Mountain Range.
'But for now...'
Zhao Luo looked ahead and squinted his eyes as the vision of sand kept on going on and on without an end.
It was just a layer of scorching sand decorated with giant rocks which would appear from time to time, in his sight.
"Then we will catch up to them soon."
Zhao Luo said to Senior Cutie who was also looking around trying to look for the spies from the Sect as Bimba continued to race towards the direction in which the Qi Mountain Range was.
"They may just be resting under the shade of some rock. So keep scouting."
Senior Cutie told them as Xiao Yu and Pi Hao were already on the lookout.
Another hour passed, and Zhao Luo and others were already very far from the Xin Range.
Yet, there was no sign of the spies. But as Bimba continued with his rapid speed, they happened upon the mutilated corpses of sand lions which were more than a disturbance that simply had to appear in their way.
'ROAR~'
Bimba let out a loud cry as it stopped a few steps away from the carcasses of his fellow sand lion.
'Tap, tap.'
Zhao Luo patted his back as he got down from it and moved towards the first sand lion which was split apart in a horrified manner.
"The beast still has its eyes open."
Zhao Luo mumbled as he crouched between the two halves of the sand lion and placed his hands right on the eyes of the beast, one of them was on his right and the other on his left while slowly bringing his hands down.
The sand lion's eyes were covered thanks to Zhao Luo.
"Wait."
Senior Cutie reached him and touched the open half of the sand lion.
"The blood is fresh. They must have passed this area not too long ago."
Senior Cutie told Zhao Luo as he turned back and jumped back on Bimba.
Zhao Luo looked ahead and eleven more sand lions were lying on the sand without breath since they were all killed but all of them were different to just this one.
The eleven had their bodies intact while halves of the one Zhao Luo was sitting in between, looked like it was ripped apart in an instant.
Zhao Luo turned around to look at Bimba and then glanced back at this sand lion.
"Bimba is half of this one's size. This may turn out to be a little dangerous."
Zhao Luo speculated but then a voice reached him.
"Little Brother, let's go. We need to hunt them down."
Senior Cutie said to Zhao Luo.
'Nod.'
Zhao Luo nodded his head and jumped in a squatting position as he landed on Bimba's back.
"ROAR~"
Bimba let out a furious howl so loud that even Zhao Lul had to cover his ears.
'Pat.'
Zhao Luo comforted it as he sat back.
"It's okay. I will avenge these sand lions."
Zhao Luo assured Bimba as it leaped towards the direction of the Qi Range.
More than ten kilometers away from them, a group of people in black clothing from head to toe, were sitting in a circle.
They were surrounded by three rocks, the shadows of which provided a resting spot for this group, in this scorching desert.
Only one person from this group was sitting outside of the circle and had his eyes closed.
These were the spies of the Qi Sect and the one who was sitting outside of the circle was the leader of the group.
"roar~"
Just then a low sound of a lion's roar entered their ears as the leader of the spies opened his eyes.
