Becoming A Tech Tycoon Begins With Regression-Chapter 214: Nanobots
"I guess vacation’s over," Ethan muttered as he walked back into his apartment, "time to deal with the collector."
He had offered all the help he could to both Blue Lantern and Newton Academy, it was now time to focus on the main problem.
The collector.
He had realized that he couldn’t actually move forward without dealing with that nuance.
And he had bigger problems he had to deal with in a year.
Ethan had to make earth ready to welcome their visitors from the stars and that couldn’t happen if he also had to deal with human obstacles also.
He did have a couple of ideas, but most of them either required his cloning pod or blackmail.
The cloning pod would’ve been the perfect choice....if the damn system allowed him access to it.
He just had to make a couple of people disappear and replace them with clones he had complete control of.
People that had others following them like sheep would’ve been the perfect choice, but he couldn’t even buy it to try and make a watered down version.
He was so close, yet so far to acquiring it and the most vexing part was that he had to wait for at least a month before attempting another knowledge and proficiency upload, least his brain matter would just flow out his nose.
Blackmail, would work for a while.... until the people started allying themselves against the common enemy, him.
Ethan would be seen as the bigger threat and the blackmailed people would take the first chance they had to turn against him.
Besides, he was almost a hundred percent sure that some would try allying themselves with the aliens, which wouldn’t be surprising since greed was human nature.
That left him with one other choice.
"System?"
[Yes host,] the holographic screen appeared before him with a text.
"Open the shop and filter to tier 4 nanobots blueprints," he instructed.
With his words, the screen immediately switched to a new one, the system shop.
[Cellular Repair Nanobots (tier 4, Nanotechnology): Programmable nanobots capable of identifying and repairing damaged cells at the molecular level.
Price: 2,500 SP
Auto-Immune Regulators (tier 4, Nanotechnology): Nanobots designed to suppress, enhance, or recalibrate immune responses.
Price: 3,800 SP
Neural Stabilizers (tier 4, Nanotechnology): Nanobots that slow neurodegeneration, enhance synaptic transmission, and accelerate learning speed.
Price: 8,200 SP
Muscle Fiber Reinforcement Units (tier 4, Nanotechnology): Nanobots capable of strengthening and enhancing muscle fibers for improved performance.
Price: 4,000 SP
Bone Density Amplifiers (tier 4, Nanotechnology): Nanobots that increase bone density and resilience.
Price: 4,200 SP
Adrenal Response Enhancers (tier 4, Nanotechnology): Nanobots that optimize adrenal response, boosting reaction time and physical output.
Price: 14,500 SP]
Since they were just tier 4 blueprints, they were a lot cheaper than he expected, but they worked pretty well for what he wanted.
After all, they were all programmable, which meant he’d have full control over them and with Athena, they’d basically be unhackable.
Which meant she also had to go through an upgrade, after all, they were going to be facing an alien race capable of capturing a god cube, the pinnacle of technology.
He didn’t want to have all humans with nanobots within be used against him like zombies.
"System, I’d like to buy them all," Ethan said after a while.
[Total: 37, 200 SP] the system showed, [would you still like to confirm the purchase?]
Ethan looked at his total SP before nodding. With over five million SP, thirty seven was barely a dent in it.
The strange part was the fact that he bought them all, when even just a single one would work pretty well.
Well, it was quite simple actually.
No one said a single nanobot is not allowed to be able to do everything the others in the shop could do.
His plan was to have a single set of bots be capable of doing all of it.
Cellular repair, immune regulation, neural stabilization, physical enhancement, would all be rolled into one adaptive swarm.
[Purchase confirmation,] The system’s confirmation soon came and with it, a wave of knowledge pouring itself directly into his brain.
It didn’t hurt, it just felt pretty uncomfortable having that much information flowing into his head, but all he had to do was assign it to a different portion of his mind.
A few minutes later, the upload was completed and Ethan now had all he needed to build a complete swarm of nanobots.
All that remained was building them and seeing how people would react to it, but he didn’t have to wait.
Standing up, he walked to his lab, pulled the sheets off his simulation chair and took a seat.
Putting on the helmet, he relaxed allowing his mind to be pulled back into the white world where Athena was waiting.
{Welcome back,} she said with a small smile as she looked at him.
"Thank you," Ethan nodded, as the world around them changed and the scene from before repeated itself.
They stood on the sky while people walked upside down above them.
He switched the background to his office before he called on the Simulation tab and entered the parameters he wanted.
Even with limited data, it could predict the reaction of people with eighty percent accuracy, maybe even higher for those in the US, since that was the place with the highest usage of Sentinel.
The simulation started and things unfolded pretty much as he expected, the public was surprised at the claims of a tech capable of even healing cancerous cells.
Then a few brave ones tried it out and for the most part everything went well, but Ethan hated the results, after all, only the lambs were trusting in the nano bots, the shepherds were hesitant.
Soon, the government demanded the research files and every single nano bots, claiming that they pose a national threat....
Which they did, but that wasn’t exactly why they wanted to seize it, they wanted it all for themselves.
And as expected, Ethan rejected that result.
