70: Chapter 70 Dahu, Erhu
70 -70 Dahu, Erhu
“Let go!”
Brother Qiang pulled hard but couldn’t free his hand from Xiao Yifeng’s grip, as if it were clamped by iron pincers.
“Scram!”
With a low shout, Xiao Yifeng let go and with an output of Dark Energy, his opponent staggered backward until slamming into his two underlings, and all three collapsed onto the ground.
“F*ck, you dare to lay hands on me, you tired of living or something?” Brother Qiang roared furiously, getting up with the help of his men, his body emanating an ominous Evil Qi.
This band of brothers clenched their weapons tightly, ready to charge at any moment, while Fang Siqi’s family turned deathly pale from fear.
“Stop, what do you think you’re doing?”
Suddenly, two men rushed over.
Both well over six feet tall with physiques like oxen, donned in white tank tops and wielding sticks, they positioned themselves in front of the Fang family, glaring menacingly at the gang.
“Who are you two to poke your noses into this?
Seems like there’s no shortage of meddlers today.
Attack, wipe them all out,” Brother Qiang ordered coldly, prompting his group of followers to charge forward.
“Erhu, go!”
One of the two men shouted, and they charged with their sticks, ferocious as tigers, sweeping horizontally and instantly knocking down two attackers.
The two men were not only brawny, but also immensely strong; together, they held back the armed thugs.
In the blink of an eye, more than a dozen had fallen.
Seeing this, Brother Qiang’s expression darkened.
He drew a machete and hacked at one of the men, who swiftly counteracted with his stick.
Crack!
The stick shattered with a single blow, and the man stumbled backward.
Brother Qiang then rushed forward, brandishing his machete, as the other man dodged continuously.
“Boss!”
The other man, who was fighting the thugs with his stick, hurried over, discarding his weapon and launching a heavy punch.
The huge fist packed with explosive Power, smashed into the opponent’s machete.
The shock made Brother Qiang’s knife-wielding hand tremble, forcing him back several steps.
“You alright, Boss?”
“I’m fine.”
The fist-using man fixed his gaze on Brother Qiang and shouted, “Dare to bully my boss, I’ll beat you to death.”
He rushed forward, hurling punches continuously, each strike heavy and forceful, driving Brother Qiang backward, the latter’s hand trembling from the impact.
Bang!
With the final punch, Brother Qiang’s machete was knocked away and the man landed a punch on his face.
Brother Qiang tasted blood in his throat and spat out a mouthful, falling heavily to the ground.
Then the man kept pummeling Brother Qiang’s face with his fists.
“Enough, Erhu, stop hitting him, or there will be trouble,” the other man intervened urgently, pulling him back.
“You better get going and don’t come back to bully anyone again.”
Brother Qiang looked at the two men with an expression of sheer terror on his face, a thick trace of hatred flashing through his eyes, before he fled the place with the support of his subordinates.
Liu Si, watching this unfold, was about to sneak away quietly when suddenly Xiao Yifeng made a move and stepped on his chest, eliciting a howl of agony.
“If you dare to lay a finger on Fang Siqi again, I’ll make sure your death is an ugly one,” Xiao Yifeng whispered into Liu Si’s ear, causing the latter to tremble violently, looking at Xiao Yifeng with a face filled with fear, and nodded hurriedly.
“Get lost!” Xiao Yifeng kicked out, sending Liu Si flying away.
“Dahu, Erhu, we really owe you brothers for stepping in earlier,” Fang Zhenguo said with a smile, looking at the two men.
“There’s no need, Uncle Fang, we’re neighbors after all; we’re supposed to help each other,” said the man with a somewhat honest and composed appearance.
The other man, who had a somewhat hot temper, snorted coldly, “If those bastards dare to come again, I’ll make sure to break their legs.”
“Erhu, you’re still as hot-headed as ever; you haven’t changed a bit over the years,”
At that moment, Xiao Yifeng walked over with a smile at the corner of his mouth, his gaze upon the two men.
Upon hearing Xiao Yifeng’s words, Dahu and Erhu looked at Xiao Yifeng with puzzled expressions.
“Dahu, Erhu, don’t you recognize him?
He’s Little Feng, you guys used to play together when you were kids,” Father Fang said.
“Boss, is it really you?” Dahu looked at Xiao Yifeng with an expression of excitement.
“What, you’re the boss?
You don’t look like it,” Erhu said, scratching his head and looking at Xiao Yifeng in surprise.
“Erhu, do you want me to bring up that time when you, a big boy of ten years old, still wet the bed?” Xiao Yifeng teased Erhu.
Erhu’s face immediately turned red, and he exclaimed, “Boss, it’s really you!
It’s so great to finally see you after all these years.”
Erhu rushed over and gave Xiao Yifeng a big hug, while Dahu hurriedly said, “Erhu, be careful, don’t be too rough; you might hurt the boss.”
“I’m sorry, Boss!” Erhu quickly released Xiao Yifeng and said.
When Xiao Yifeng and his mother moved into this shantytown, they became neighbors with the Fang Family, as well as Dahu and Erhu’s family, and the young ones of about the same age became playmates.
Back then, Xiao Yifeng was quite frail due to his physical constitution, while Dahu and Erhu had been strong as oxen since childhood, their strength surpassing even that of an adult when they were just in their teens.
Each time Erhu hugged Xiao Yifeng, he would hurt him because of his excessive strength, so later on, Dahu and Erhu seldom made physical contact with Xiao Yifeng.
Yet, they all got along very well with Xiao Yifeng and eventually started calling him Boss.
“No worries.
I’m not the frail boss you knew ten years ago; none of you are my match anymore,” Xiao Yifeng said, smiling.
“Really?
You’re not kidding me, are you, Boss?
You couldn’t even beat Siqi back in the day,” Erhu said with a naive tone.
“Don’t believe me, hm?
Try hitting me with a punch.”
“That doesn’t seem right; what if I hurt you, Boss?
Big Brother is certainly going to scold me,” Erhu said, touching his head as he looked at Xiao Yifeng.
Xiao Yifeng smiled: “No worries.”
“Erhu, go ahead and strike,” Dahu said, glancing at Xiao Yifeng and speaking to Erhu.
“Alright, Boss, be careful,” Erhu said, and threw a punch at Xiao Yifeng.
A gale howled as it sped past, revealing that Erhu’s strength was indeed formidable, comparable to that of a fierce tiger.
