Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead-Chapter 451 - 235: Plague Seed
Wu Chang did not answer, he directly initiated long-distance teleportation. A huge teleportation array appeared around the Fly King’s corpse. In the next moment, the Fly King disappeared into thin air, traveled several kilometers, and appeared in the sky where Wu Chang’s fingertip pointed distantly.
The Fly King’s body fell, pierced by the sharp top of the Hymn Building, and the body was skewered on the skyscraper.
Inside the top floor office, Schultz was listening to a symphony playing on the record player while reading a book in his hand.
He read very quickly, ten lines at a glance, combined with his photographic memory, his reading speed rivaled quantum reading.
But this book in his hands, he was reading very slowly.
Not only slowly, but he often returned to previous paragraphs, savoring them again.
After twelve every day is his reading time, except for special situations, no one could disturb him.
Information appeared on his huge desk, his life assistant Peggy was entering the office, punctually delivering his daily coffee.
Peggy was a young woman of twenty-two who had skipped grades to finish her master’s degree and was unwilling to continue wasting her life in a university or research institution, so she joined the Hymn Company.
To quickly become a level six employee, she did not refuse Schultz’s invitation and became his life assistant.
As an ambitious girl, even though Peggy was a life assistant, she was busier than many managers. She used her access to review the performance files of various departments and rapidly mastered the operational methods of each department.
Schultz had no doubt that if he placed Peggy in any department now, she would be a competent level seven supervisor.
But he wasn’t planning to do that.
Because Peggy was neither good enough nor bad enough; she could only bring in performance.
Pure performance was of no use to him now.
"Chairman, your coffee." Wearing thin-framed glasses and a black office suit, Peggy placed the coffee in front of Schultz.
"Thank you."
Schultz closed the book and placed it beside him, the cover titled "Virtue and Sin".
As he lifted the coffee, Peggy had already walked behind him, massaging his shoulders.
"Chairman, the HR manager just submitted an application, saying that due to the Hymn Hunter’s activities, there have been large vacant shifts for supervisors, and he hopes to promote some Gold Medal Employees before next week."
Schultz replied indifferently, "I know."
Peggy paused as the answer she hoped for did not appear, leaving her a bit disappointed, but she quickly recovered and continued:
"Mr. Mo Ke just stopped by and asked me to relay a message to you, saying it’s time to choose the last partner."
Schultz looked out the window, "The last partner isn’t already decided? Farrell..."
Just as he said this, there was a sound, as if something hit the Hymn Building, and the whole office shook.
Peggy stabilized herself amid the tremor, but before she could react to what happened, she saw a massive, half-decayed, fly-like creature drop down and bang onto the office’s floor-to-ceiling window.
The fly’s large compound eyes were right in line with Peggy’s gaze, scaring her into a scream.
Compared to the panicked Peggy, Schultz remained much calmer, he frowned slightly and continued the conversation from earlier.
"Go out and tell Mo Ke, to cross out Farrell."
Hearing Schultz’s instruction, Peggy fled the office, unable to bear looking at the enormous fly outside for another second.
After Peggy left, Schultz stood up, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, and muttered to himself:
"Will it affect my plan?"
Then he closed his eyes, as if listening to something, and after a moment, he continued to ask:
"Will the person who killed Farrell affect my plan?"
A while later, Schultz received his answer, sat back in his office chair, and resumed his previous reading.
On the other side, Wu Chang, who had successfully sent Farrell to the top of Hymn Company, felt a bit apprehensive. He didn’t know whether this method counted as fulfilling Farrell’s Blood-Colored Will.
Though the method and the result had a slight deviation from Farrell’s expectations, he had sent Farrell to the highest level in the true sense, higher than where Schultz was seated. With positive and negative offsetting, it should count as his passing, right?
A few seconds later, Farrell’s Blood-Colored Will before his eyes, "I want to reach the highest level of Hymn Company!" slowly dissipated.
It really did count as his passing!
Geez, man, if I knew you were this easy to satisfy, you shouldn’t have been a department manager; you should have been in charge of high-altitude glass cleaning in the janitorial department.
Completing Farrell’s deep red resentment brought him two points of Life, two points of Inspiration, and one point of Will.
Aside from that, it also granted him a pair of mini fly wings.
The appearance of the wings matched those on the back of the Fly King, comprised of flesh and membranes.
"Item Name: Seed of Plague"
"Item Type: Special"
"Item Description: A divine seed containing the power of plague, currently dormant. Activated by appropriate methods, it may grant plague divinity."
"Note: Flies always accompany plagues, never underestimate the terrible disasters these little things can carry."
Wu Chang hadn’t expected that completing Farrell’s will would explode the Seed of Plague.
There is also a gap among divinities.
Even among divinities, the divinity awakened by a low-rank God mostly has no prefix, just pure divinity.
Its function is merely to distinguish demigods or low-rank Gods from ordinary people and does not play a major role in hierarchical battles.
