Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead-Chapter 445 - 233: Can’t Win, So It’s Time to Call for Backup (Part 2)
The location they were in was only five kilometers in a straight line from the Hymn Building, closer to the Hymn Company headquarters than the Second Avenue where they captured Farrell.
This area was far from residential zones, surrounded by a massive industrial park, half of whose factories belonged to Hymn Company.
Farrell’s rampage here meant that Hymn Company would have a handful on their plate.
Underground, Farrell’s mutation was still ongoing.
The Disqualified Monster he transformed into exceeded Wu Chang’s expectations; the divinity produced within him was no longer faint but evident. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Every few seconds, he could feel a force belonging to the Disqualified Monster, pulsating underground like a heartbeat.
The pulsating force was so enormous it caused a resonance in another part of the city, likely the Nest Farrell had mentioned.
Wu Chang glanced toward the source of the resonance, then frowned as he took out his map, comparing it repeatedly with the location from the resonance.
If he remembered correctly, the Nest was located deeper within the Second Laboratory.
"Raymond, the location of the Second Laboratory, could it be..."
Wu Chang looked at Raymond, who noticed the spot where Wu Chang’s finger stopped on the map. Although he didn’t know how Wu Chang discovered it, he guessed Wu Chang’s meaning.
"Yes, the Second Laboratory is underneath the City Hall."
In Sean’s memory, several recent mayors of Wildor City gained massive public support by opposing Hymn Company.
While there was no significant performance during their tenures, their stances were very prominent and righteous.
Yet, it turned out the Hymn Company’s Nest was established right beneath the City Hall.
It was indeed quite the dark humor.
Elsewhere, on Second Avenue, Fei Guang and others, who were happily signing contracts door to door, suddenly stopped.
The three looked towards the direction where Farrell was transforming, their smiles gradually freezing, turning grave.
They sensed a special power, a power whose level was so high that it even triggered the warning items given by those bigwigs.
In the plane of the dungeon, not many could cause such a commotion; aside from the final BOSS, it would be those escaping members of the Four Major Organizations.
Fei Guang and others dared to assault members of the Four Major Organizations not because they thought that after this job, the organizations couldn’t do anything to them, but because they were confident they wouldn’t let a single one escape alive.
For the past couple of days, they had been happily performing as laborers earning achievements, so much so that they temporarily overlooked those who escaped, not expecting them to be quite capable.
Capable enough to produce power of this magnitude.
Though they didn’t know what they were doing, one thing was clear to Fei Guang and the others: they absolutely couldn’t let them succeed.
If those few players from the Four Major Organizations really used this power to break through the blockade and escape the Hymn Company’s plane, it would be a major issue.
Fei Guang and others hurriedly put aside their contracts and quickly found Wu Chang, urgently whispering:
"Manager Sean, we have some personal business to attend to and need to resolve it immediately. What do you think?"
Wu Chang held out his hand, indicating Fei Guang and the others didn’t need to say more.
"Go, don’t worry about things here. I’ve seen all that you’ve done, and your achievements won’t be overlooked."
What kind of place Hymn Company was, in just two days, they could clearly feel.
Simply put, apart from one’s own funeral where leave is granted, most other vacations would essentially be denied.
But Wu Chang not only let them leave, but also promised they wouldn’t lose out on their achievements.
"Manager Sean." Though Fei Guang and others were merely playing the role of laborers, at this moment, they felt genuine trust and regard from Wu Chang.
If they had a loyalty value floating above their heads, it would surely be rising rapidly.
Wu Chang shook his head kindly, saying, "Your matters must be urgent, go quickly."
Watching the three’s quickly departing backs, Wu Chang thought to himself: Hurry up, the Peace Value of Wildor City depends on you three to maintain.
In Wu Chang’s plan, if the Disqualified Monster that Farrell transformed into was weak, then let it wreak havoc in Hymn Company’s industrial park; serving as a gauntlet thrown down to the Hymn Hunter for the Hymn Company, stirring the waters in Wildor City, leading the Emergency Response Team to clean up the mess.
If the Disqualified Monster Farrell transformed into was strong, the Emergency Response Team might not be able to stop it in time, the havoc caused could greatly affect Wildor City’s Peace Value, then it was necessary to make the commotion as big as possible, bringing in Fei Guang and others to handle the mess.
This plan was very reasonable; after all, having released the monster, they couldn’t still be responsible for dealing with it, right?
On Wu Chang’s side, underground, Farrell had almost completed his transformation. The Disqualified Monster in the making hadn’t yet left the underground, but a mass of gray-black mist with a rotting smell had already gathered on the surface.
The area shrouded in mist saw rapid decay of vegetation, with buildings aging visibly to the naked eye, the rich stench of death filling the gray mist.
Wu Chang True Self and Raymond avoided the gray mist, having retreated to a high-rise several hundred meters away.
Upon reaching the rooftop, Raymond took out the spy equipment prepared for him by the Central Intelligence Agency from his pocket. As the equipment activated, an invisible energy net enveloped the two, concealing their presence.
On the day they entered the dungeon plane, it was thanks to this piece of equipment that Raymond remained undetected by Wu Chang and Fei Guang and the others.
Holding binoculars, Wu Chang looked at the gray mist area created by Farrell, feeling the divinity within the mist, he couldn’t help but click his tongue; it seemed he had unleashed an extraordinary monster.
